About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

What you don’t see can hurt you…

Ok.  So I get asked a lot of different questions being a ghost hunter….how do you get rid of ghost? Will ghost hurt you?  Are ghost bad? Are we on tv ????? lol  etc…. But the number one question I get is “Do you ever get scared”?  Are you kidding me??? lol Of course I get scared!  But not like someone that hasn’t dealt with ghost all their lives.  The ghost don’t scare me…I feel like I know enough and have studied enough that I understand or know how to handle a situation that has paranormal activity.  Someone that has not been in this field can be frightened very easily and this could be dangerous.
So, as I set here and ponder the thought of writing a book….YES I am going to write a book!   I am very excited about it.  I have never written a book before but I have always wanted to.  I have tons of journals as I have kept them over the years about my experiences and other “ghostly tales” that I know of.  And I have a couple of writers and publishers that are willing to help me, so we will see how it all comes together.

Anyway…got way off track(sorry) one of the things that I want people to know is, that even though an investigation is at night, you have to go in the daylight to see what is around you.  It can be very dangerous if not done properly. The one thing I want to do is kept my followers safe the best way I can.  So lets go over a couple of safety tips before you do an investigation.
1.  ALWAYS check out the location in the daytime and preferably the day OF the investigation so that you see exactly what objects are in the area.
2.  Never go alone!  Actually this should be #1 but I am to lazy to go back and delete and paste and re-paste this tip ….lol   But really, never go alone. That way if something happens…you fall, trip or hurt yourself in someway, you will have someone there or can call 911 for you.
3. Make sure you have an alternative light source.  Say your batteries are drained and you run out of extra batteries, make sure you have either a lighter or candles, or both. Preferably a bic lighter, that way if you drop it, it won’t start a fire(hopefully).
4.  Something that people don’t always think of(myself included, I know you thought I was perfect…but no..lol) tell someone who ISN’T going on the investigation with you, where you will be and if possible, about what time you will return.
5.  And last, make sure you have a first aid kit available for small “boo boo’s”.
Ok.  That is more than a couple of tips but I wanted you guys to be safe out there.
I have posted a couple of pics below to show what a location looks like in the light and have highlighted several hazards if someone were scared, could get hurt on.
These are pics of the Manson I investigated a few weeks ago down in Galveston. Can you imagine if in the first photo, with as many people as there are, if someone had “screamed”? And not to mention it would be pitch black!
Also, there is an orb in the first pic(I just wanted to point that out).  Smile
Ok, that’s it for tonight.  Till next time my ghost hunting friends…
