About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

Ok.  So this is not a very exciting story but....still it's a story.  Back in 2008 my boss and I went to San Antonio for a conference for work.  He had never really done any "ghost hunting" but he was willing to go with me because he didn't want me to go alone.  It was a nice night other than the wind was blowing a bit.  We took a "ghost tour" that was offered that went around the alamo and haunted hotels.  Just let me say...IT WAS AWFUL!!! I was embarrassed for ghost hunters everywhere as the things these guys were telling people where so far from the truth it hurt!  Anyway....it was about 2:00am in the morning and it was the anniversay date of the alamo battle.  After the ghost tour, I talked my boss into doing "our own investigation".  So we walked all around the alamo and just took pictures.

When we got back to the room we downloaded all the pictures and he couldn't believe what he saw!  The above picture is one we took in front of the alamo.  I am not going to tell you what is in the picture, see if you can figure it out.  I will tell you, that to the right is a girl with her hair blowing as she was trying to get out of the wind.  WE SAW HER but there was no one else around! Do you see it?

Needless to say, my boss loves ghost hunting now and is a true believer after our many "hunts" together and the pictures of mine he has seen.

Ok.  It's your turn.  What story...and I know you have one....can you share?

BTW......In the above picture....it is a solider with a gun strapped across his shoulder, with a helmet on.  HHHUUUMMM

Good. I am glad you can see it. Thank you so much for your post. I will be posting a couple of pictures later tonight(I hope) that I think you will find interesting. I am hoping this blog becomes a place where your "everyday" person feels comfortable talking and posting pics of things that they have experienced.Thank you again...as this is my first time so love any feedback or suggestions you may have. :)

I would like to see what you think of the occurence. When I was first married we had a trailer house that I truely hated I just had such a wierd feeling being in it,I never felt like I was alone and that someone was always watching me.Anyway here goes.My husband was gone alot and I was always alone in the house except for my german sheppard. He never left my side where I went in that house he went,he would lay in the hallway if I was in the bathroom. He would be laying there then all of a sudden would look up and follow something that I could not see but I swear he did.We also had this lamp that was a statue of a woman about 3 ft tall and I would be in the living room and all of a sudden it would get real strange feeling in the room and that stupid lamp would rock back and forth,my dog would look up and then walk to the mirrors that were in the dinning room and walk right up to them and just stare like he was seeing something.I also started having a really bad time of headaches, fear of dying and nightmares.I told my husband that if I didnt get out of this house I thought that I was going to die.He didnt believe me but one night while we were asleep we both awoke with what felt like someone walking down the hallway you know in a trailer it will shake sometime when you walk, well he got up and there was nothing.A few weeks later we started to have these spots to appear on the ceiling so then husband agreed and we moved.I respect the supernatural and ghost but I don't really feel scared just respectful but this this was evil I was really scared.I now ask before we look at a house has there ever been a violent act or death in the house. What do you think I was feeling and seeing and do you really think it could have hurt us.

WOW! WOW! WOW! That is an incredible expernience. That must have been very scary for you. I guess the first thing that pops into my mind is, where did the lamp come from? Did you buy it at a store or maybe someone gave it to you? Sometimes, spirits can attach theirselves to an object. My second thought is, what about the property that the trailer was located on? Any history to it that you know of?

Any your dog. Let me tell you, I believe whole heartly dogs have a sixth sense that we humans do not. Have you ever noticed that when a storm is approaching, your pet will act differently? Pets are often known to quit eating and change their behavior when their owners are sick and/or in the hospital. Dogs have been known to starve themselves to death after a death of a Master. Also, dogs and cats are more highly sensitized to electromagnetic activity than most humans. This tends to make them natural psychics. Any anomalous activity would normally be picked up by an animal.

As for "do I think it could have hurt you"?

The term poltergeist (Polter Geist, or rattling ghost) is indicative of the character of these "beings." It is believed poltergeists rarely cause serious physical injury, but can cause much damage by breaking fragile objects and occasionally setting fire to pieces of furniture or clothing. Supposedly a person may be pulled out of bed or levitated.

I am just being honest here, I do not know enough about Poltergeist to say one way or another. But I, myself, do not even do investigations if there is a report evil spirits, or poltergeist that seems to have the intent to hurt someone. That is something that I personally DON'T want to mess with. I just don't know enough about it and would not want to make the situation worse.

I loved the story and thanks for telling me about it. If you still have "that lamp" get rid of it!!! LOL

Next, your dog.
