THE WHISPERING COTTAGE IN MINERAL WELLS, TX-DO YOU DARE???

Sorry, everyone I have been out on vacation for about 10 days and can you believe it, I put down all my social media for the trip...and guess what?  It was great.

One of the best things about writing a blog and being involved in ghost hunts is meeting others of "like mind" and hearing their stories and experiences.  And this weeks is from a very nice lady that I met and we are going to be investigating together in January at the very location she is talking about.  The Whispering Cottage in Mineral Wells, Tx.

I want to give Lisa a huge SHOUT OUT for writing about her experience at this newly found paranormal location.  Enjoy.

Whispering Cottage is a beautiful two story home located in Mineral Wells, TX. We rented the entire house for a private event to host a friend’s birthday, you know something out of the norm for a birthday. We arrived at the house around 6:30 p.m. and we were greeted by Mike and Julie, the investigators for the evening. They were both very nice and informative about the property. We were taken on a tour of the house and given a little history of the location.

There have been at least three deaths on the property, one suicide, one murder and one was an accidental death from a fall down the stairs. We were not given any names of the spirits in the house because the investigators did not want to plant anything in our heads and wanted to see if we would get the evidence on our own. After receiving a 101 lesson on how the equipment worked we set out to investigate. Little did we know there was already activity occurring upstairs that was caught on one of the many IR cameras located throughout the house! The camera caught several orbs in the bedroom just floating thru the air. One came straight out of the wall.

I decided to use the Ovulus to communicate with the spirits and I was not disappointed. I received several responses to questions asked and it even said my name! I sat in the Occult room for a while and the Ovulus was very active in there. My boyfriend laid his hand on the Quija table and when he did the Ovulus said three words “person, creek, trip” which immediately gave me chills because my boyfriend, who’s hand was on that table, has a broken back at the moment because he tripped and fell into a  creek!!! NO… we did not mess with the Quija board at all!!! Shortly after that my boyfriend went into the closet where the door has been known to open on its own. When he opened the closet door to come out, the Ovulus said “closet”.

I went upstairs to do an EVP session with a couple of the girls and while we were up there I saw an unexplained light. Shortly after that I had this overwhelming sensation that I can only explain as feeling like I was being wrapped in energy. I had goosebumps up both arms and it lasted for several minutes. We received the name Rose over the Ovulus more than once and the investigators said that is a name they have not heard there before. We also received the name Rose thru the spirit box.

This was an overnight investigation and several of us slept upstairs. All of the bedrooms upstairs are connected and can be accessed without going out into a hallway. We had several people sleeping on air mattresses and during the night I heard footsteps walking around. I assumed someone had gotten up and gone to the bathroom. I sat up and looked and I could see that everyone was accounted for on my side. The next morning my friend that slept on the other side in the bedroom said her and a couple of the others heard footsteps and asked me if anyone had been up walking around. The investigators told us early on that people have reported hearing footsteps and we definitely did.

As we were getting ready to leave the next morning I was packing up something and getting ready to walk out the front door when I heard my name called. Naturally I thought it was someone here in the living so I turned to my friend and said “yeah” she looked at me and said “what?” No one had called my name!!!!

The Whispering Cottage did not disappoint and we are already planning another visit in January! There were a total of 20 of us and about half of us took it seriously and those of us that did all had some sort of experience.

WHAT'S IN YOUR BACKYARD???

Looking for Ghost Hunting locations?  Sometimes we are wanting to do something so badly that we OVERLOOK what's in your own backyard.  And ghost hunting is no different.  I have traveled all over world in search of some of the most haunted places, and come to find out one of the most haunted places I have ever been is right "in my own backyard"......Goatman's Bridge.

This past Saturday I went to support my good friend Tui Snider who was speaking at the Dallas Public Library.  Tui is an amazing author with several #1 Books on Amazon.  She was talking about her new book 100 Things To Do In Dallas Fort Worth Before You Die Tui Snider  which I might add is a #1 New Release on Amazon.  In her book she names several places for you to visit around the Dallas, Fort Worth area, and some of which are haunted!  She also tells you about other things like restaurants, museums, shopping, history and sport hot spots.  Listening to Tui got me to thinking....everyone needs to take a close look around their area, it just might surprise them with what they find!  And before I forget, I want to give a shout-out to Donna and Denise who was at Tui's lecture who had came on one of our Overnight Special Events at Goatman's Bridge.  It was great to you guys again.  Have fun on the Queen Mary!  Sorry, got off track. LOL

For instance, Tui named several places around Dallas, Fort Worth that are haunted and I have not heard of them!  Places like The DeGolyer Mansion at the Dallas Arboretum and The Lizard Lounge.  You can bet I will be checking those out!!!

One of the fun things we got to do after Tui's lecture was go to the VERY HAUNTED  The Sons of Hermann Hall.  I had been wanting to check it out for a couple years now.  First, I just want to say that the two guys that showed us around were awesome!  They were soooo nice and told us we could just go wherever we liked.  I'm sorry, I didn't catch their names but I do know one was on The Board.  They told us about the eerie feelings they get late at night when closing up and that some people have seen a spirit of a lady.  Also, some well-dressed ghostly concertgoer's have been spotted.

Now, The Sons of Hermann has a lot of local musicians come in and play as well as a night of dancing.  And not just any "dancing" it's SWING DANCING!!!  How fun is that???  This place did not feel negative in anyway to me, as a matter of fact, just the opposite.  It was a very relaxed, easy feeling, sounds weird but really....almost a "happy" feeling.  Which doesn't surprise me given how friendly the staff is and being so open to having the public come in and play music.  Heck, if I were a ghost I would want to hang out here!

Anyway, ghost hunting is awesome know matter where you are, but be sure not overlook what's right in front of you.  So, get out there and HUNT!!!!!

RE-POST -THE VERY HAUNTED SKINNER CEMETERY-SEE WHAT I CAUGHT ON FILM!!!!

This is an old cemetery that we just found by chance out driving around one day in Pilot Point, Tx.    It's not very big and a little run down but definitely old!   I know it's weird to describe a cemetery as "charming" but it was.  The headstones you can tell are old.  Some are broken, some have fallen over completely and here's the REAL CREEPY PART!!!!!  There are big holes where the dogs or some other animal has been digging up the grave!!!!  I know......RIGHT!!!!!  A couple of them appeared to have the casket showing.  So if you are going at night be careful not to fall in a "hole".  CREEPY!!!

And let me tell you...it was FULL of paranormal activity!!!


On this night we communicated with a young spirit we were calling Timothy but later learned his name is Josiah Taylor. He is the first person or should I say child to be buried here.

It was a slow night and I was setting up the video recorder as everyone else was walking around just taking pictures.  We were getting some really cool pictures of orbs btw.  Then just as we started recording, about 4 minutes in....well.....just watch the video. :)

On this night, there was not even a breeze blowing.  It was eerily calm.  We brought a ball and asked if Timothy would like to play with it....and you can see that HE DID!!!!!!!!!  You can hear the excitement in my voice as I didn't expect to have such activity right off the bat!!!  You'll notice, that the first time the ball rolls, it rolls to the left.  Ok...if there WAS a breeze (which there again, there was not even the slightest breeze blowing) let chalk it up to the wind although the ball rolls in two different directions.  The second time, Timothy rolls the ball....he actually pushes it off the brick...and it appears to roll backward and then rolls forward  It looks like he caught it and rolls it back.  And not only that, THIS TIME it is in a completely DIFFERENT DIRECTION!!!!!!!!  I can tell you, being there and experiencing it first hand was AMAZING!!!!!  And I can't WAIT to go back!!!!

THE OLDE PARK HOTEL-OVER 30 SPIRITS??? I WANT TO MEET THEM ALL!!!!!

The Olde Park Hotel is one of those places that EVEN before you take one step inside you can just tell that there is a lot going on behind its walls......things like spirits roaming the halls like they did over a 140 years ago!!!

So along with our SPEACIAL GUEST Tui Snider and her husband Larry and my fantastic team, we are packing up and headed to Ballinger, Tx to check out this very haunted hotel.

Dan LaFave, the owner will be meeting us at the hotel tell all about the some 30 spirits that are said to haunt this historic property.  I am SUPER EXCITED about this weekend and can't wait to see what we find so stay tuned!!!

Here's what we know about this amazing place:

The original owners of the hotel were the Findlay's in 1922. As generations have passed it along, the guests and family members tell new stories that keep the rich history alive.  Jeanette's grandmother passed along the building at the turn of the century, including many relatives' hands, and was passed down to each generation of family members.

The old hotel has been standing in the same place since before Ballinger became a town, during a time when there were no electric poles, sidewalks, or roads. The building used to be a bunkhouse for the railroad workers and was later sold in an auction in July of 1886. The building was used for various purposes of the town, including school house, meeting house, and even at one time a parlor house.

Some of the ghost stories include talking with women who used to live in the building when it was a parlor house, and not realizing that they weren't employees of the antique store. Other spirits such as "Glenn" and "Cowboy" have been noticed by employees, as well as women, with voices and doors opening and closing by themselves. Jeanette has reported she feels there are close to 30 identified ghosts in the building. Footsteps, and cold spots have also been known to accompany the phenomenon along with an occasional pat on the shoulder. People have mentioned that they have had their clothes tugged on and report feelings of uneasiness in the building along with friendly spirits.

Dan and Connie LaFave purchased the building in 2016 with hopes of restoring the hotel to a bed and breakfast and preserve its cultural history and unique atmosphere.  Dan and Connie LaFave are founders of the Graveyard Shift Paranormal Investigations team which is currently located in San Angelo Texas. The team was first formed in Harlingen, Texas in 2009 with projects including documentaries such as Raising the Ghosts of Yorktown Memorial Hospital and Ghosts of Laborde House.  Dan is an author of two books entitled Shadow of the Ghost Hunter and The Supernatural, Texas, and The Old West, which can be found on amazon.com. This husband and wife team will give you a ghostly tour that you wont forget, along with some paranormal know how along the way.

RE-POST ON THE YORKTOWN MEMORIAL-ONE OF THE MOST HAUNTED PLACES I HAVE EVER VISITED!!!

Ok.  I am a day late but I was up all night working on the video I wanted to share with you guys.  Well, as you know this is part 3 of our Yorktown investigation with White Dog Paranormal out of Chicago.  The hospital is Yorktown Memorial in Yorktown, Texas.  MAN!!!!!!!!  What great evidence you guys are about to see!!!

I am just going to post a few pictures with this article and then I will have the video uploaded in a couple of hours.  And TRUST ME when I tell you.....YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!!!!  It has a FULL BODIED APPARITION and footage of a door opening and closing all by ITSELF!!!!!!!  This is some of the best footage I have ever seen!  This place was sooooo fun and the group of people with us were just AWESOME!!!!  I want to give a big SHOUT OUT to all those who attended this investigation......BOOOOOOO to you!!!! LOL

Now, most of the activity I want to tell you about in part 3 was on the second floor, in the nuns living quarters.  We  already had such great communication downstairs in the CREEPY "doll room" and also at the nurses station we COULDN'T wait to go to another floor! We made our way up the dark and cold stairway, which I might add was pretty creepy itself...but just like you would expect the first thing you see when you get up to the second floor is a long, dark hallway. There is no electricity in this place and very, very minimum light from the outside.  Only moonlight coming in through some of the broken windows and it was not a full moon or anything so........ can you say....DARK....because this place was!!!! The second floor is where the nuns used to stay.  The rooms still have some bed frames in them and some old furniture, some with "whatnots" on them (please tell me you know what a "whatnot is" or I feel really OLD if you don't! LOL) But again, let me remind you that so many of the items in this hospital ARE NOT original to the place.  It just looks like miscellaneous things have been put there to ENHANCE your experience.....if you know what I mean. :)

Anyway, we went into the first room on the right on the second floor that had like a wooden slats as part of the wall...you know...the kind you can see through.  Inside was an old couch, a couple of tables and chairs, dusty books, etc..  We set up in here and began an EVP session with MaKesha Bailey reading from a children's book first..... then Belynda.  I was sitting on the couch, right beside Belynda as she began to read.  I was filming with my new Tri-Cam from Paranologies, which I LOVE, but back to the story.....and Michele with White Dog Paranormal Group was doing the video recording with her camera.  We could see on the Tri-Cam and on Michele's video a couple good orbs flying around, and here again let me caution you...there is TONS of dust floating around, so be sure to debunk what is a true orb and what isn't.

Mike, the caretaker, had told us that Stacy one of the young female spirits liked to be read to upstairs in the nuns quarters so that is why we were reading the children's books out loud.

As Belynda was reading...she just suddenly STOPPED!!!  We all wondered what was wrong.  Michele ask "Belynda, what's wrong, why did you stop reading?"  Belynda laid the book down in her lap and said "I don't know...but something is VERY.......VERY.....WRONG!!!"  She said she was cold as ICE and her teeth started to chatter.  I was sitting right beside her and had  a thermo on her and the temper started dropping down very quickly... like 15 degrees in about 3 minutes but yet, I couldn't feel any difference in the room.  All of the sudden Belynda said "it's gone!" and sure enough the temperature started to go back up.

Now,  Michele WAS inside the room with us and then she decided she would go stand in the doorway looking out toward the hall.  We asked Belynda if she wanted to continue and she said "yes".  As she started reading again......Michele all of the sudden started having problems with her video camera.  Now, she had been using the same video camera all night and not once did she have any problems.  But for some reason, her auto focus COULDN'T FOCUS! It was like it was TRYING to focus on something........but what........there was nothing nor anyone in the hallway. Two things happen next.  ONE........... is she steps out into the hallway to try and adjust her camera and as she is trying to figure out what is wrong.....she catches a FULL BODIED APPARITION!!!!    The location of this apparition would have been right behind Belynda walking right though the wall with the wooden slats.  You will see in the video that IT almost seems to "step out in the hall" and then "retreats back" as if to see Michele in the hallway.  Then it steps forward and walks across the hall and almost right up to Michele before disappearing but NOT before it appears to LEAN back as if to look at Michele one more time before disappearing for good!!!  CRAZY???? I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY...but just wait till you see the video!!!!!

And that's not even the BEST PART!!!!!  As soon as the apparition disappears, all of the sudden Michele's camera begins to focus!!! Not even 5 minutes passes, when out of the blue, or should I say dark...lol a door opens at the end of the hall!!! Yep...just opens and closes a couple times all by itself!!!!  The GREAT part....Michele SEES this happen AS WELL as captures it on video!!!!!!!!!!!    It was amazing!!!!!!!!!  One thing that we notice is.....that it is illuminating the hallway with light????  How can that be possible?????  There are no lights, and no one in the hallway but yet it is bright enough to SHINE light across the floor of the hallway!!!  I CANNOT explain this!!!!!  We go into the room where the door opens and closes.....and all that is in the room is an old sewing machine.  And as for a window, there IS a window but it is far from the door and only a half window at that.  There is NO WAY a light as bright as it was, could be coming from this window or room!!!!!!!!!!!

PEOPLE...PEOPLE.....PEOPLE..... Is this place haunted???????  You betcha  bottom dollar it is!!!!!  We are already planning our trip back in the fall.  So, if you want to join us, just let me know. :)

FILMING WITH THE GHOST ADVENTURES CREW AT THE GOATMAN'S BRIDGE IN DENTON, TX-A BRIDGE WITH SO MUCH DARK HISTORY...WILL WE SURVIVE??

GHOST ADVENTURES HERE WE COME!!!

WOW!!! What a surprise to get a call from the Ghost Adventures producer to feature me on a 2-hour Halloween Special!!!  What????  How did that happen??? Did they call the right number? However it did....YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, where do I start!  I'm going to make this short and sweet.  They wanted to do a special on the Old Alton Bridge in Denton, Tx where I give ghost tours.  The bridge is better known as "Goatman's Bridge" by the locals.  They wanted to know if I would appear in a 2-Hour Halloween Special.  Now,  if I'm being honest......HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was jumping around all over my house and at the same time trying to play it "Cool" on the phone with the producer...."well, sure....I guess I could do that". LOL   They ask me to gather a couple of people that I knew had had an experience at the bridge so I asked Belynda DiCiaccio and Phoebe Birt.

It ended up being a "family affair" because Belynda's son Kaleb, my daughter Lindsey and Belynda's husband Mark all got to do some reenacting for the show!!!  This bridge has a VERY DARK PAST full of murder, suicide, death, torture and very evil souls that remain tied to this bridge.  Now, before I can go any further I also want to thank my boyfriend Deak who was AMAZING through this whole process!!!  It took about threes day to complete and he just let me "do my thing" and never complained and was soooo supportive!   Thank you honey...I love you tons and tons!!!! 

Now, the burning question on everyone's mind???  What is Zak really like???   Lol.  Well he definitely is as cute in person as he is on TV!  The other guys are soooo nice as well.  I can definitely tell you that Zak runs "the show".  Telling everyone where to stand and what to do.  Business....very business like!!!  No room for small talk at all. lol

Also, I don't know how many of you are from Texas but it's HOT HERE!!!!  Sweat ran down our faces the whole time we were there.  I don't think the Ghost Adventures Crew was ready for the heat!

This bridge has a dark history that includes....murder, suicide, torture, missing children and lots and lots of violence!  Every time we are at the bridge we always get great EVP's and pictures.  If you look at the top of my blog you will see information about the bridge and check out all the pictures we have gotten there.  And also, there will be other stories on the special besides ours.  It's not just two hours of the bridge.

Now, this will air on the Travel Channel on October 29th, 2016.  I'm not sure of the times so check your guide.  And I don't want to hear any comments about how bad I looked because it was like 110 degrees and I had on black standing in the sun!!! LOL  I can tell you that SOMETHING did happen to one of the Ghost Adventures Film Crew while filming.  It was not planned and it did STOP production for quite a while!  It was VERY SCARY so don't miss it!!!

One last thing, this is a TV SHOW so they REALLY play it up big!!!  They only wanted to know about the EVIL things that took place at the bridge and not really interested in the history.  So keep that in mind when watching. :)

One last thing....I LOVED GETTING to do this!!!  I have ALWAYS wanted to have some of my paranormal photos and experience recognized on TV......not so I can say "I'm a star" or "famous" or anything like that.....just wanted someone to validate that the things I do or research are "good enough" to be on TV.  My whole life has been devoted to the paranormal in honor of my grandfather (I know that's weird to some of you) and for some CRAZY reason I just always felt if I get my stuff on TV that my grandfather and I could say...."we'll we DID IT and WE DID IT TOGETHER"!!!!  

Well, that dream came true a few years back when I got to go to LA and film for my Ghost Stories but to be able to do it a SECOND TIME....there are no words............NONE.....none that I can think of that could express my gratitude and how LUCKY I have been!  Some people's dreams DO come true....and some people.....well.........some people like me...........do something crazy in life like Ghost Hunting that others don't always understand......and get to be on TOP OF THE WORLD and yell.........Thank you......I DID IT........ TWICE!!!!!(That got a little mushy didn't it? LOL)
