About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

THE LUXOR IN LAS VEGAS IS HAUNTED!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TO MAKE ME A BELIEVER!!!

The Luxor in Las Vegas
Sin City...Las Vegas is full of night life and of course "sins" lol but did you know Las Vegas has a dark side?  No...darker than losing all your money and ending up in a strange room not remembering what you did!!! LOL

I recently took my Mom and daughter to Vegas for a much needed "girls trip".  My Mom had not been there in years and I wanted to take her somewhere fun.  So I booked us a room at the Luxor.  Now, you know me....I'm going to check it out to see if there is anything haunted associated with the hotel and guess what...... there was!!!  But here's the deal.  I couldn't tell my Mom and daughter because I didn't want them to freak out! LOL

First, let me tell you about some of the reported deaths and hauntings connected to the Luxor.  And let me tell you.....there is quite the list!!!!

At 30 stories high there is no other hotel in Las Vegas that stands out quite like the Luxor.  Shaped like a pyramid with the strongest beam of light in the world peering out of the top.  This Egyptian style themed hotel is stunning from the inside as you can see straight up to the top of the pyramid just about from every location due to the shape.

During the construction of the Luxor it was reported that two construction workers died.  And many local suggest as many as seven workers perished during the building of the Luxor.  The treacherous construction process is the most dangerous of all the hotels in Vegas.  Many visitors have reported seeing the fallen workers roaming the Luxor.

In September 1996, just a few years after the Luxor’s opening, a woman jumped from the 26th story of the hotel, falling to her death. Immediately, the woman died from severe head injuries. Per Clark County’s Sgt. Bill Keeton: “it was over very quickly.” Her injuries were so severe that she could not be readily identified, and she carried no identification on her. The woman landed by the old buffet’s entrance, which shortly after her death was completely, thoroughly cleared out and converted into a food court.

There was also another incident where a man fell to his death from the 10th floor.

In May 2007, in the Luxor parking garage, a coffee cup was left atop the car of a 24-year-old Luxor food court employee. When the employee went to remove the cup, the cup exploded. A homemade explosive device was inside the cup. The employee died from shrapnel inside the bomb.

In 2012, an airman from Nellis Air Force Base got into a fight with a colleague in the first-floor lobby of the Luxor’s west tower. The colleague pushed the airman against an elevator door, which then inexplicably opened—despite no elevator compartment being present. The airman fell 25 feet down the empty shaft to the basement level. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Later it was reported that he died of his injuries.

Many feel the Luxor is cursed.  Where the Luxor now sits was once the site of a popular burial ground for mobsters’ victims, as it was, at the time, off the beaten path. As is common knowledge, a property built atop a graveyard never has good fortunes.

Ok...…… now here is our experience at the Luxor.  First we were on the 28th floor(Room 28017 I think?) which there is only the penthouses above us.  It's a little creepy in the elevators because it takes so long and they are very wobbly because of the angle they are going up.  I'm not going to lie, the elevators were scary!!! You just thought the cable would snap at any minute!!!  By the way, we were NOT the only guests that felt this way.

Anyway, on our last day, we were walking around the Luxor and I casually said, "Well I guess I can tell ya'll now....we are staying at a haunted hotel".  My daughter Lindsey just STOPS DEAD IN HER TRACKS and yells "I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!"  I just started laughing and said, "See you would have never known if I hadn't told you.  Nothing happened".  She said, OH NO something DID happen!!!!!!!!  The other night when we were asleep I heard someone walking around and going through our suitcases!!!!!  I said "Oh Lins….you DID not".  She got very serious and said, YES I DID and it was LOUD!!!!!!!!   So loud and plan I was so terrified I couldn't  move or open my eyes!!!  Because I knew we were sleeping together and Nana (my Mom) was in the other bed. MOM IT WAS BAD!!!!!!!! So, here's were it gets good.  My Mom can't hear anything!!!  You have to yell at her for her to be able to hear you and she jumped in and said "I HEARD IT TO"!!!!!

So, let me lay out the room for you.  We had double beds and my daughter and I were sharing a bed so my Mom could have her own.  We all three had one big suitcase apiece.  So we just laid them on the floor side by side against the wall.  To give us more room.  Lindsey said she could hear someone moving the cloths around and walking to the next suitcase.  My Mom then says, "Yeah, I didn't even open my eyes because I thought one of you must have gotten up and was looking for something in the suitcases.  It was very loud."

OK.....Ya'll.  I thought it might be Lindsey's imagination but when MY MOM said she heard the same thing and SHE can't hear......well I found it pretty cool!!!! :)  My daughters swears SOMEONE was in our ROOM!!!!  She said she thought we were going to die because she was to scared to open her eyes and couldn't scream for help. LOL.  I am still recovering from a ruptured Achilles so I had taken something for pain that helped me sleep.  So maybe that is why I did not hear anything.

Was this someone who had committed suicide here?  Or was it one of the workers that was killed during construction?  I do know that one of the suicides took place on the 26th floor just below us.  Whatever IT was...…..it scared my daughter to death!!!!!!!

So, if you are headed to Vegas, and want a little ghostly action or a break from the slots, ask for room 28017 and go to bed early. Oh...and leave your suitcase open. :)

My Mom

TRULY TERRIFYING HALLOWEEN MURDERS

In October I like to share some of the scariest REAL Ghost Stories for Halloween.  I thought this was super CREEPY stories published on Buzzfeed by Mike Spohr on Oct.13, 2017.  Check it out.
THE TRICK-OR-TREATER THAT WAS GIVEN CYANIDE-LACED CANDY
In 1974, 8-year-old Timothy O’Bryan died on Halloween evening after eating candy laced with cyanide. But the story has an even more horrific twist.
It turned out the candy was poisoned by Timmy’s father, Ronald, who was in financial trouble and had taken out insurance policies on his children. In addition to Timmy, Ronald O’Bryan gave poisoned candy to four other children, including his daughter, Elizabeth. Thankfully, none of them ate it. O’Bryan was executed by lethal injection in 1984.
THE SUICIDE MISTAKEN FOR A HALLOWEEN DECORATION
2.In 2005, a 42-year-old woman in Delaware committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree across the street from a residential area. Though the body was easily visible to passersby and passing vehicles, no one called the police for hours. Why? They assumed the woman swaying in the wind was a Halloween decoration.
A MAN THAT SHOWED UP AT A HALLOWEEN PARTY DRESSED AS FREDDY KRUEGER AND WENT ON A RAMPAGE

3.A Halloween party in San Antonio, Texas was in full force last year when a man dressed as Freddy Krueger showed up uninvited. He opened fire on the crowd, shooting five people.
THE SON WHO DECAPITATED HIS MOTHER AND LEFT HER BODY IN THE STREET

4.One night in Long Island just before Halloween 2014, a decapitated body laid in the street five feet away from a severed head. To many passersby, the horrific site appeared to be a Halloween prank, but the truth was far more disturbing. 35-year-old Derek Ward had used a kitchen knife to kill and decapitate his mother, Patricia, then carried the body and head out of their apartment. After leaving the body and head in the street, Ward jumped in front of a commuter train, killing himself.
THE UNSPEAKABLE EXPLOSION AT A HOLIDAY PREFORMANCE

5.In 1963, many Hoosiers decided to spend Halloween night at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum watching a “Holiday on Ice” skating exhibition. Unbeknownst to them, a rusty tank in the concession area began to leak gas. The room — which
As the skaters performed their grand finale, the gas reached an electric popcorn maker, triggering a huge explosion. Seventy-four people were killed, and nearly 400 were injured.
THE JAPANESE EXCHANGE STUDENT WHO KNOCKED ON THE WRONG DOOR
6.Twenty-five years ago 16-year-old Japanese exchange student Yoshihiro Hattori dressed up as John Travolta’s character from Saturday Night Fever, then headed out to a Halloween party in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Tragically, he was mistakenly dropped off at the wrong house, and the homeowner, panicked by this unexpected visitor, shot and killed Hattori. The homeowner was later acquitted of any wrongdoing.
Hattori’s mother, Mieko, commented on the twentieth anniversary of her son’s death, "I've been observing American society for the past 20 years. The ongoing situation there has been incomprehensible to Japanese. I want to encourage more ways to adopt gun control."
THE ASSAILANT WHO-MURDERED WEARING THE SAME MASK THE KILLERS WORE IN THE FILM SCREAM-A MURDER MAN
7.In Scream, killers wearing Ghostface masks callously murdered the people in their town. Chillingly, on Halloween night, 2013, someone wearing the same Ghostface mask shot and killed 19-year-old Anthony Seaberry before disappearing into the New York night.
THE KEW BEACH RIOT, WHERE THOUSANDS OF HIGH SCHOOLERS FOUGHT THE POLICE THOUGHTOUT THE NIGHT
8.In 1945, teenagers in Toronto spent Halloween night rioting and building large bonfires that they stoked with gasoline. When police descended upon the scene, the teenagers fought back, throwing rocks and blocking the fire department from putting out the fires. Soon police arrested 14 of the rioters, but instead of calming things, this lead to a mob of thousands of teenagers gathering in protest. The teenagers were only dispersed after being dowsed with water canons and tear gas. The impetus for this uprising is unknown.
THE MAN WHO OPENED THE DOOR TO FIND A TRICK-OR-TREATER WHO WOULD END HIS LIFE
9.In 1982, 69-year-old Marvin Brandland was getting ready for bed after a night of handing out Halloween candy when there was one more knock at his door. Brandland opened the door to find someone wearing a pillow case over their head with the holes cut out for eyes. The figure said, “Trick-or-Treat. Give me your money or I’ll shoot.” He then pulled out a gun and ordered Brandland into his basement where Brandland kept a safe. Brandland — figuring this was a prank since only family members knew about the safe — grabbed for the gun. The person in the pillow case fired, hitting Brandland in the throat, killing him. The killer fled, leaving the pillow case at the scene.
In 2010 the pillow case was tested for DNA, but there wasn’t enough DNA on it to make a match.
THE HAUNTED HAYRIDE WHO-WHEN PRETENDING TO HANG FROM THE GALLOWS-HANGED HIMSELF FOR REAL
10.In 1990, Chicago-area teenager Brian Jewell’s job was to give hayride customers a scare by pretending to hang from a gallows. Jewell had pulled off the stunt just fine earlier in the day, but that night something went terribly wrong. When the hayride approached Jewell, who was hanging from the gallows with his feet touching the ground, the tractor driver began to worry. The driver's worries only grew when Jewell failed to deliver his usual speech. According to the prosecutor, there were no signs of foul play.
THE BOY WHOSE LIFE WAS FOREVER ALTERED BECAUSE HIS STEP-FATHER WAS FROM HELL
11.On Halloween in 1984, 8-year-old Brian Massey should have been enjoying a night of trick-or-treating with his sisters, Tiffany, 11, and Tamara, 10. Instead, he was subjected to a real-life horror film when his new stepfather, 26-year-old David Andrews, stabbed his mother to death before chasing his sisters down the hall and murdering them as well. Andrews then came into Massey’s room, covered in blood, and kidnapped the boy. Two days later police found Massey alive after apprehending Andrews, who had tried — and failed — to kill himself.
Disturbingly, Andrews struck a plea deal in exchange for a reduction of charges. He is eligible to be paroled next month, which the now 41-year-old Massey vehemently opposes.

THE LEMP MANSION-NO LACK OF GHOSTS HERE!

The Lamp Mansion is a beautiful mansion that is also a restaurant up in Saint Louis.  The outside is breathtaking BUT the inside although beautiful it is believed to be the home to several of the Lemp Mansion family members that have no problem making their selves known!

The demise of the Lemp empire is one of the great mercantile mysteries of St. Louis.  The first major fissure in the Lemp dynasty occurred when Frederick Lemp, William's favorite son and the heir-apparent to the brewery presidency, died under mysterious circumstances in 1901.  Three years later, William J. Lemp shot himself in the head in a bedroom at the family mansion, apparently still grieving the loss of his beloved Frederick.  William J. Lemp, Jr. succeeded his father as president.

Tragedy continued to stalk the Lemps with startling ardor.  The brewery's fortunes continued to decline until Prohibition (1919) closed the plant permanently.  See the Lemp's were the owner's of a VERY SUCCESSFUL brewing company in Saint Louis.  William Jr.'s sister Elsa, who was also considered the wealthiest heiress in Saint Louis, committed suicide in 1920.  On June 28, 1922, the magnificent Lemp Brewery, which had once valued at $7 million and covered ten city blocks, was sold at an auction to International Shoe Co. for $588,500.  Although most of the company's assets were liquidated, the Lemps continued to have an almost morbid attachment to the family mansion.  After presiding over the sale of the brewery, William J. Lemp Jr. shot himself in the same building where his father died eighteen years earlier.  His son, William Lemp III, was fourty-two when he died of a heart attach in 1943.  William Jr.'s brother, Charles, continued to reside in the house after his brother's suicide.  An extremely bitter man, Charles led a reclusive existence until he to died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The body was discovered by his brother, Edwin.

In 1970, Edwin Lemp died of natural causes at the age of ninety.

THAT'S A LOT OF SUICIDE!!!!!

So, I was lucky enough to get to tour the Lemp mansion on a cold and rainy night last weekend.  It was only me and one of the SWEETEST family of 6.  They are going to kill me because I took their picture and said I would send it to them but I can't find the card that the Dad gave me and I forgot their names....so sorry.
Let me tell you, these were the nicest people and they made my tour of the mansion so much fun.  I also have to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Betsy our tour guide.  She was great and made the tour great with such a small group.

Now, to the good stuff.  Did we see any paranormal activity???? Well........I can tell you this.....that when you first go in the mansion and to the left if a beautiful room with a fireplace that had some lighted Christmas decorations on it.

Betsy started saying that she felt like someone was in the room with us.  She wasn't sure who but she didn't think it was a spirit that belonged their.  She was asking for protection for the group and the lights started to FLICKER!!!!!  Now, I saw this and didn't really say anything thinking....well...that could have just been a power surge or something but then...they DID IT AGAIN!!!! So now the rest of the group is noticing it.  I ask Betsy is this something that normally happens and she said no.

The one thing I notice it the house over all felt very "pleasant".  But when we went to the second floor that Betsy said their was a spirit of a young boy that had been bulled by groups coming in the house on the tour and taunted because he was a special needs child that supposedly lived in the house, THIS floor for some reason didn't feel the same as the rest.  Not really bad....just different.  Made me a little uncomfortable.

Upstairs it seemed a couple of times like I saw shadows.  But not human shadows, this is going to sound weird but like a cat.  I kept seeing this shadow under Betsy leg that had movement like a cat.

Past those experiences, I didn't really see or feel anything but what a GREAT PLACE this is.  And maybe....it was just to COLD for the spirits that night. LOL

Would I go here again??? You bet!!  I loved this old house and the spirits I feel enjoy the company. :)

Here are some of the pictures I took.  Not anything to exciting but a couple of orbs.

I found this to be a little interesting the shadow in the center.  Seems
awfully tall.  But it could be just double exposure.  I'll let you decide.

REAL GHOST FOOTAGE HAUNTED WILLOW WEEPING

In Japanese tradition, the willow is associated with ghosts. It is popularly supposed that a ghost will appear where a willow grows. Willow trees are also quite prevalent in folklore and myths.
In English folklore, a willow tree is believed to be quite sinister, capable of uprooting itself and stalking travelers. I found this interesting when I was doing some research on the VERY HAUNTED Willow's Weep.  Huuuummmm This TREE....and a Japanese belief....could there REALLY be a CONNECTION?????

I can't wait!!!!  I'm going up to Chicago to stay with my good friend Michele of Whitedog Paranormal (who had a bad fall and broke both wrists......I want to wish her a speedy recovery) and we are going here......The Willow's Weep house!!!!  If this place doesn't REEKof scary I don't know what does!!!  The claims were that four individuals committed suicide as well as some random deaths. Paranormal investigators claim to have seen furniture lifted up off the floor as well things launched from the walls. Some have been hit and choked!  Devil workshop and other dark things are associated with this property.
I would LOVE to hear if you have been here or no someone that has had an experience here!  Otherwise....WISH US LUCK!!!!

DOES THE WORD "SLAUGHTER" MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU??? CHECK OUT BOBBY MACKEY'S!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!

Here is a story of Bobby Mackey's Music World in Kentucky.  You want evil, murder, blood and just DOWN RIGHT SCARY!!!!!!!  Check out this place....

This establishment is purported to be haunted. Management is NOT responsible and cannot be held liable for actions of any ghost/spirits on these premises.”
It’s not the sign you expect to see when you first enter a nightclub, but if you find yourself reading that sign in a nightclub in Wilder, Kentucky, you will have entered what some call the Devil’s Gate.
Bobby Mackey’s Music World is said to be the most haunted nightclub/ honky-tonk bar in America. The building was a former slaughterhouse in the 1800’s, and tales of murder, suicide and satanic rituals have haunted this place for years.
The oldest of the ghosts that haunt Bobby Mackey’s originate in one of the most horrific murders in America. When a young pearlwoman named Pearl Bryan made her way to Cincinnati, she was hoping to marry the man whose baby she had just discovered she was carrying. The man’s name was Scott Jackson, a former dental student. He and Pearl had been introduced by Pearl’s cousin, William Woods. They hit it off immediately, and that summer, their friendship blossomed. It was only after Jackson left for Cincinnati that Pearl made her discovery. She confided in her cousin, who wrote to Scott Jackson to inform him of the problem. Jackson arranged for an abortion in Cincinnati and then sent for Pearl.  Pearl arrived at Cincinnati Grand Central Station on January 28th 1896, and was met by Scott Jackson and a friend of his she had never met, Alonzo Wailing. Jackson and Wailing had met in dental school some years prior.
Two days later, on a cold and foggy morning, a man by the name of John Hewing was cutting across a field at Highland Avenue and Alexander Pike in Fort Thomas. The property belonged to Hewing’s employer. As he walked, he stumbled upon a woman lying on the ground. In later interviews, Hewing stated that he “didn’t know if she was drunk or dead, lots of woman from town used to bring solders from post. It was a lonely secluded field. A lot of women were drunk.” Hewing told his employer about the woman in the field. The employer sent Hewing to get a nearby deputy sheriff, while other men set out to see whether the woman had awakened and perhaps left. They found her still lying there. When they took a closer look, they saw signs of a struggle and a pool of blood at her feet. They turned her over and pulled her dress down to reveal that she was headless.
Officials searched the area for her head to no avail. Bloodhounds tracked the scent that to a nearby reservoir. Officials drained the reservoir, but the woman’s head was never found. The body was taken to Newport where an autopsy was performed, which determined that the woman was pregnant and found cocaine in her stomach. It was believed at the time that cocaine could be used to induce a miscarriage. Four days later, the body was identified as that of Pearl Bryan via a manufacturer’s number on one of her shoes, which led to a shoe store and then to Pearl’s family. Police discovered letters exchanged by Scott Jackson and Pearl’s cousin, and Jackson was arrested. Alonzo Wailing was arrested soon after. Upon his arrest, Jackson accused Wailing of the murder, and Wailing in turn blamed Jackson, claiming that Jackson’s medical skills were more inept than he had first thought and that he had only been involved with trying to abort Pearl’s baby.
Jackson (left) and Walling (right)
Jackson (left) and Waling (right)
So what went wrong? How did Pearl end up headless in a field? Modern folklore says Scott Jackson and Alonzo Wailing were part of the occult group that used the abandoned slaughterhouse nearby. Perhaps the attempt to abort Pearl’s baby suffered complications, and she died of an overdose of cocaine, but why did they remove her head? Some say they used her head as a blood sacrifice to the devil by throwing it in the old well in the basement of the slaughterhouse. The well washed out to the nearby lake–the same lake to which the bloodhounds tracked her scent. Could this be the explanation for Pearl Bryan’s missing head?
On May 27th, 1897, on what some described as a perfect spring day, Scott Jackson and Alonzo Wailing were scheduled to hang for the crime of murdering Pearl Bryan. They were hanged together, a little after 9 a.m. As they stood on the trap door waiting for it to open, they cursed Pearl Bryan, blaming her for their deaths. A moment later, the trap door opened and the pair dropped and hung there until dead.
But why do Pearl Bryan, Scott Jackson and Alonzo Wailing still haunt Bobby Mackey’s? Could there be some affinity between Pearl’s spirit and the building? Or is, perhaps, her head still somewhere undiscovered in that place? Could it be that the evil pair of Jackson and Wailing are cursed to stay in the place of their deaths because they are afraid to cross over?
For years, the building stood empty of the living, with only the ghosts of the past to populate it. The satanic worshipers were long gone; during the trial of Jackson and Wailing, the group had been exposed and its members feared attacks from the community and either changed their ways or moved on. The building reopened as a speakeasy in the 1920’s. During this time, a number of murders took place there, and so it closed down, only to reopen in the 1930’s as a nightclub. But tragedy struck the building yet again. A dancehall dancer named Johanna was carrying on a secret relationship with a singer named Robert Randall. She became pregnant, and the pregnancy was soon impossible to conceal. Five months into the pregnancy, Johanna’s father found out and had Robert murdered. Johanna found out her father was behind Robert’s death, and so she poisoned him and then killed herself in the basement of the building, near a now-sealed well.
The current owner of the building, country singer Bobby Mackey, is a complete skeptic about the strange goings on associated with it, even though he himself is part of them. There is a railway track behind the building, and Bobby has said the same track runs through his hometown, perhaps subconsciously drawing and connecting him to the place. Another strange event in Bobby’s life happened when he was a few days old: Bobby’s mother had originally named him Randy Mackey but something had come over her, and she renamed him Robert Randall Mackey. Was this a premonition of one of the ghosts that haunts the nightclub he would later own? Did the evil that lurks in Mackey’s nightclub attach itself to him at a young age? Perhaps. When Bobby and his wife first saw the building, he fell in love with it instantly. His wife, Janet, just as instantly had an uneasy feeling of an unwelcoming presence. She claims to have seen and heard weird things, and even smelled rose perfume near the basement area. Could this have been Johanna warning Janet of what was to come? Janet soon felt something swirl around her and then wrap around her waist. It lifted her up and dropped her back down. She ran for the stairs, but felt a force push her back down and shout at her to “get out, get out.” But almost the strangest part of the story is that, like Pearl and Johanna before her, Janet was five months pregnant at the time.
After this attack, many more staff members came forward with stories of weird smells, unaccountable noises, and being attacked by unseen forces. Carl Lawson, an employee of Bobby Mackey’s, was the caretaker. His tale of Bobby Mackey’s is one that would stay with him forever.
Bobby Mackey's basement and well
Bobby Mackey’s basement and well
Carl was known as a bit of a loner. He lived in an apartment above the bar, and he was constantly plagued by voices and demonic forces. Sensing the evil around him, Carl started to read up on the lore of the building. Learning the building was once a place of devil worship, he set about sprinkling holy water on the dug-up well known as the Devil’s Gate. Carl believed this would calm some of the spirits, but it had the exact opposite effect. It seemed to provoke the demonic spirits, and soon they claimed Carl for their own: Carl Lawson became possessed. A pastor named Glen Cole was called in, and he spent six hours trying to rid Carl of the demon. Video evidence shows Carl possessed by a demon. In a strange, growling voice, he claims that, “if he left then we all gotta leave.” We will never know what this meant. In 2012, Carl Lawson passed away at the age of 53.
In 2008, the season premiere of Ghost Adventures featured a visit to Bobby Mackey’s. The lead investigator, Zak Bagans, said he got three scratches on his back when he was standing in the Devil’s Gate because he had provoked the evil spirits and demonic forces that had possessed Carl years before. When the Ghost Adventures guys returned for a follow-up episode in 2010, they were able to pick up electronic voice phenomena (evidence of paranormal voices) but found themselves and their families threatened. Even Zak found himself near possession, and the guys have never returned.
But what draws so many people back to Bobby Mackey’s?  Could Bobby himself be a reincarnation of the spirit of murdered singer Robert Randall? Or are the things down in Wilder, Kentucky best left alone?

WHITE ROCK LAKE, DALLAS,TX- I DON'T REMEMBER EVER BEING SO SCARED!!!

Halloween_05.gif
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!  IT'S FINALLY OCTOBER!!!!!  My favorite time of year!!!!!!  I love it!!!!

Ok.  Back to business....White Rock Lake, Dallas, Tx.   This beautiful lake is located just north-east of Dallas.  Now, I have heard about White Rock Lake for years and the story of the "lady in white" that supposedly haunts it shores.  And it could just be me.....but almost every HAUNTED location has a "lady in white" apparition associated with it, so I have never put much stock into the haunting........until NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

0409_whiterock10.jpg Reports of a ghost of a twenty year-old looking girl, described as wearing a soaked 1930s dress, who usually appears at night along the roadside of East Lawther Drive. Witnessess claim the phantom asks to be taken to her home on Gaston Avenue in Dallas before disappearing in the car during the ride. Legend claims the woman to be a drowning victim during a boating accident in the 1930s. Reports of the ghostly encounters were published in Dallas-area newspapers in the 1960s.
Another story is that on November 24, 1942, another distraught woman, 35-year-old Rose Stone of Mansfield, Texas, also committed suicide by drowning herself in the lake. Her body, dressed in sweater and skirt, was discovered in eight feet of water near the municipal boathouse by Johnnie Williams, who assisted the park superintendent and city fireman in the search. A note was pinned to her sweater asking that relatives in Fort Worth be notified of her death. Mrs. Stone's coat and hat were found on the shore.

A friend and fellow team member who lives close to the lake offered to take me out to the lake and so off we went!  Now, I can say this....at night...I DON'T get a warm and cozy feeling about this lake.  I don't know why...just don't.

Now, I have been investigating the paranormal for more than 30 years.....and I can honestly say....my experience at this lake was like none other I have EVER had!!!  In other words.......scared the crap out of me!!!!!!  My friend John and I were riding around the lake stopping every now and then to take pictures.  It was already creepy....but what happened next I will NEVER FORGET!!!  We took a small road John said he had never been down before.  As we pulled into a small turn around area, we saw this very long, tall structure, with windows broken out and tall narrow metal doors.  It was crazy looking.  John was like "what is this place?  I have never seen this before".  For lack of a better description....it reminded me of like war bunkers....all in a row.  It had to have at least 20 doors and windows all in a row, and at night it was WAY WAY CREEPY!!!

I said, "what do you think?  Should we get out and see what this is?"  John says, sure.  John had been  driving so he got out on the drivers side and stepped away from the car to take pictures of some sort of building that was on his side.  Now, from the minute I opened the door, I had a "cold chill".  What WAS this place????  I just couldn't make sense of what it would be down here at this beautiful lake???  It just didn't fit in.  As I started to walk away from the car and into the moonlight that was providing me enough light to make my way over to this strange place....just as I lifted my camera to start taking pictures, I heard a noise.  At first it wasn't loud and I wasn't for sure what it was.  So, I put down my camera so I could listen better and see if there was......maybe a person or animal walking up to the car....but it DID NOT sound like footsteps!!!!  It was something else!  I turned and looked over my shoulder to see if John was hearing anything and he obviously wasn't because he was just starting to take pictures and didn't seem distracted by any noise.  Is this my imagination??? Maybe I'm just edgy because we had been to some pretty scary cemeteries before we came out to the lake.

As I slowly turned back around, I realized it WASN'T my imagination!!!!!!!!!!!  There was something there and it was getting closer and closer to me!!!  My heart was beating so fast, and I was trying so hard to be calm and come up with a responsible explanation as to what I was hearing.   I kept looking around and could see NOTHING.....but SOMETHING was getting closer and closer to me....and it WASN'T walking......it WASN'T like footsteps.......it was SWISHING!!!!!!!!!! Which just confused me more????  What the heck!!!  The SWISHING just kept getting closer and closer and with every second it was getting louder and louder..........it was coming right up to me and getting right in my face!!!!!!!!!!!!  You know you have that space around your body that is your comfort zone and when people get to close...you tend to step back because they are to close to you.............well THIS was TO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!  I wasn't imagining it.....but yet I could not SEE anything....but MOST DEFINITELY a presence was there.  All of the sudden, I had this terrible pain in my stomach....it was a physical pain.....and I knew WHATEVER this was.....I had to get away....and quickly!!!!!!!!!!   I started screaming at my friend to GET IN THE CAR NOW.....WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!  He was so confused and was like "what's wrong.....what happened?"  I said JUST GET IN THE CAR....SOMETHING IS HERE AND WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

We jumped in the car and all I could say was "SWISHING.......SWISHING....IT WAS RIGHT UP NEXT TO ME!!!!"  He said.....did you hear footsteps?????  I kept saying NO....it wasn't footsteps...it was SWISHING AND IT WAS RIGHT IN MY FACE!!!!!!!!!!  As John drove off...I looked back over my shoulder to see if I could see anything..........and there was nothing there....nothing but the shadows of this strange building.

I was shaking and trying to catch my breath!!!  Was something trying to enter my body?  Was something going to hurt me?  I just didn't know!  After we drove off I started to apologize to John and tell him how sorry I was that I reacted that way.  I just don't scare that easy....and I can't remember one time that I wanted to run.....but this time I DID!!!!  I was sooooo mad at myself for reacting that way!!!  I have NEVER had that kind of experience were something UNSEEN was right in my face!!!!  It was like any minute I was going to feel the breath of SOMEONE or SOMETHING on my face!!!  Now, you guys don't tell anyone about that part......I am STILL the great, not scared ghost hunter!!! LOL

The next morning John called someone that worked for the property and found out what we saw was an old abandon boathouse that was built way back in 1930. I still don't understand the design of the building it just doesn't look like a boathouse at all!!!  It's creepy.  And yes, reports of hauntings have been reported from there.  After John told about the abandon boathouse....I found the story above about Rose Stone committing suicide at the boathouse.  NOW IT MAKES SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The SWISHING.............the SWISHING of WET CLOTHES!!!!!!!!!  THAT IS WHAT I HEARD!!!!!!!!! Was Rose wanting me to contact her loved ones for her?  Did she want me to make sure people knew where to find her body??  I don't know.....but SHE or SOMEONE else that has drown in that lake......walked right up to me in wet clothes and I will NEVER FORGET IT!!!
