HAUNTED WOODS....WHY ARE THEY SOOOOOO DARN CREEPY!!!!!!!

Your hearting is beating sooooo fast you can hardly breath.....but you keep putting one foot in front of the other and go deeper and deeper into the darkness of the woods.  As you walk slowly through the woods it seems almost as if the trees have arms and are reaching for you......the sounds around you get LOUDER and LOUDER....the air becomes "different" and you notice there is not even a slight breeze.....something DARTS in front of you.....you turn....point your flashlight and there is ..........is  NOTHING!!!!  Now fear sets in......what if I get lost.............what if something attacks me out here............what if I get hurt and no one can find in time.........WHAT IF..........WHAT IF..........WHAT IF............. you can DRIVE yourself CRAZY with WHAT IF'S!!!!

Why do the WOODS seem soooo much scarier than an old abandon house or cemetery?  Is it the possibilities are much GREATER of the UNKNOWN? The truth is....the woods hold no more danger than any other location.  There is always things for you to be aware of at ANY location.  Just like any other location, a spirit can be attached for many different reasons.  ANYWHERE there is GREAT EMOTION more than likely, you find some kind of a haunting. 

I recently investigated a private residence that I believe had someone watching over the land because back in the day......when THIS PERSON was alive and living on the beautiful piece of property (horse ranch) every night they would have to stand watch because the threat of an Indian attack.  Farmers and ranchers could not leave their ranches even to go help their neighbors that might need help because IF they left their post, Indians would attack.   So, part of this haunting, I believe was because the previous land owner loved his land and wanted to protect it.........EVEN IN THE AFTER LIFE.

I want to share with you all about the WOODS that we go through every end of the month when I do my tours.  Now granted, the woods surrounding the Old Alton Bridge are not super thick.....but they DO hold many spirits!

The woods surrounding the Bridge are said to be haunted by the KKK and several other spirits that where associated with the surrounds at one time or another.  The picture below was taken by one of our team members, John Martin, out at the bridge.  We believe it could be the lady we call LaLorna that wanders the woods looking for her young child that drown in the creek.

Another report of paranormal activity surrounding the woods are that MANY TIMES you can see "glowing lights" dancing around in the woods.  These lights are reported to be the lanterns of the KKK as they make their way through the woods waiting on unsuspecting victims as they walk through the dark woods.  I can tell you, that this is a COMMON occurrence on our tours.

EVP SESSION AT THE OLD ALTON BRIDGE 5.30.14

Ok.  I wanted to share with you today the EVP Session from our tour a couple of weeks ago where the lady had came from Louisiana and received a message from her deceased husband.  It is a really quick video but I wanted to share it with you.  In case you missed it, here is the story I wrote about our experience on 5-30-14.  Hope you enjoy....

First, on Friday's night tour I had two lady's that attended that I have never meant before.  All that I knew about them was that both had lost their husband's.  One I believe 4 years ago and one 2 years ago.  They were the NICEST ladies and I'm so glad they came on the tour.  Anyway, we were sitting on the bridge doing a spirit box session and I was telling the group about the spirits that I NORMALLY are able to communicate with out at the bridge(Old Alton).  As we all sat quietly on the bridge, I began asking which spirits were with us. You know the normal..."who's here and do you want to communicate with us tonight stuff"..... anyway I asked for the spirit to give me the name of WHO we were communicating with and VERY,VERY clearly and loudly the name we heard was DON !!!  Now, I am sitting there........... VERY confused!!! DON???  That is NOT a name I have EVER gotten on the spirit box down at the bridge before.  And Ron is not the "typical" name for the period of spirits that are associated with the hauntings of the bridge.   So, I say out loud, "hhhuuummm I have NEVER gotten DON before and I don't know WHO that is????".  Just then, one of the ladies sitting right beside me, that had drove all the way in from Louisiana ducked her head and put her hand over her forehead and said "I DO........ it's my husband!!!"   Everyone was stunned!!! I couldn't believe it!  So I asked......... "DON is your husband's name?  She said "yes".  As she started to shake, and seemed to be in disbelief, I asked her was she ok and if she wanted to continue?  At first, she said "I don't know" but after a few minutes she said yes and I asked her would she like to communicate with him and although she seemed nervous...... she agreed.  She got up and stood in front of the spirit box and asked "Don, can you hear me???" and a voice came back and said "I'M HERE"!  I was sooooooo excited for her even though she was trembling uncontrollably. She continued to ask questions, although we never really got anymore direct and clear answers after that.  But she did an AWESOME job and so did DON!!!!!!!!

I think after this experience, in some way she left feeling some relief  to know that HE is STILL with her WHEREVER she goes!!!  I am so grateful to have been a witness to this experience with her and her sister.  It was very powerful for all that witnessed it. :)

 

 

 

YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYES!!! ONE OF THE "NASTIEST" SPIRITS I HAVE EVER RAN ACROSS

I just had to share this picture with you guys!  I give a ghost tour one weekend of the month.  One of the spirits we communicate with is STEVE, one of the NASTIEST spirits I have ever ran across!!!  This guy has raped, murder and killed many innocent people.  When he comes through to communicate... all other spirits are silent.  He is VERY dominating!  He swears and has NO remorse for what he has done.....and has physically grabbed me before!!!  Not a nice guy!!!

DO "THEY" REALLY FOLLOW US WHEREVER WE GO???

 On the same night, another really fun lady came along, named Phoebe.  She seemed to be really excited about being on the tour with us.  We were standing just off the bridge and I was telling the group about one of our team members had been scratched right where we were standing.  I heard her said say.....kind of quietly...."my shoulder is burning".  I didn't really think that much about it, but as I continued to talk, Phoebe continued to move her shoulder and say "my shoulder is REALLY BURNING"!  So, one of the other ladies said "turn around and lets see".  WOW!!!!  There were THREE scratches on shoulder!  Bright red!!  We had NOT been in any trees or wooded area as we had been on the bridge doing the spirit box so it couldn't have been a "branch" or anything.  They looked JUST LIKE the ones I had seen before on our team member!!! I was trying to be a good paranormal investigator and come up with a solution as to HOW the scratches on her shoulder got there before jumping to the conclusion that it was something paranormal.  Now, Phoebe was standing RIGHT beside me and I didn't see her do ANYTHING but stand there by me as I was talking.  But I asked her, "are you SURE you didn't reach back and scratch your shoulder?"  Her response to me was as SHOCKING as the scratches themselves!  She said, "I was in a car wreck and I can't lift my arm but half way up, I couldn't reach behind me even if I wanted to"!!!!  There WAS NO WAY Phoebe could have put those scratches on her shoulder!

 

After reviewing the scratches, I noticed they are NOT consistent in ANYWAY the left or right arm reaching up from behind scratching one's shoulder would look.   Two of the scratches point toward the right and one down and to the left.  Very unusual pattern, not to mention the width of the scratches.  I have no explanation to explain the scratches other than coming to the conclusion they are paranormal!  I hate that for Phoebe but she was AWESOME about it and stayed claim and continued the tour.

One more thing, a lot of the people on the tour were first "timers" as to going on a ghost tour.  So it was really COOL when we were in an open field KNOWN for having paranormal activity and I was doing a spirit box session there and I asked in the very beginning "Tell me how many people are here in the tour tonight?" and the response everyone heard clearly was "26".  Was this correct??????? RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!!! Lol
