Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.
This is an old cemetery that we just found by chance out driving around one day in Pilot Point, Tx. called The Skinner Cemetery. Some times you are drawn to a place and you have no idea why....right? Well this is just that kind of place. It's not very big and a pretty run down and definitely old! I know it's weird to describe a cemetery as "charming" but it was in a weird way. Kinda like the spirits here are just "inviting" you in. Some of the headstones are broken, some have fallen over completely and here's the REAL CREEPY PART........there are big holes where the dogs or some other animal has been digging up the grave!s!!! I know......RIGHT!!!!! A couple of them appeared to have the casket showing. So if you are going to be here at night be careful not to fall in a "hole". CREEPY!!!
And let me tell you...it was FULL of paranormal activity!!!
On this night we communicated with a young spirit we were calling Timothy but later learned his name is Josiah Taylor. He is the first person or should I say child to be buried here.
It was a slow night and I was setting up the video recorder as everyone else was walking around just taking pictures. We were getting some really cool pictures of orbs btw. Then just as we started recording, about 4 minutes in....well.....just watch the video. :)
As for the weather, it was eerily calm. We brought a ball as a trigger object (we usually do) and asked if Timothy would like to play with it....and you can see......HE DID!!!!!!!!! You can hear the excitement in my voice as I didn't expect to have such activity right off the bat!!! You'll notice, that the first time the ball rolls, it rolls to the left. Ok...if there WAS a breeze (which there again, there was not even the slightest breeze blowing) let chalk it up to the wind although the ball rolls in two different directions as you will see. The second time, Timothy rolls the ball....he actually pushes it off the brick...and it appears to roll backward and then rolls forward. It looks like he caught it and rolls it back. And not only that, THIS TIME it is in a completely DIFFERENT DIRECTION!!!!!!!! I can tell you, being there and experiencing it first hand was AMAZING!!!!! And I can't WAIT to go back!!!!
3/16/2018***Well, we are headed back this Friday to check out this amazing little hidden secret again. I will let you guys know what we find. We have a ton of new equipment and I can't think of a better place to try it out.

If you have not stayed at the Congress Hotel in Chicago....you should!!! It is reportedly the most haunted hotel in the city. I was lucky enough to get a room at this hotel to do an investigation as a Christmas Present from my boyfriend and I loved every minute of it!!! I was also lucky enough to have one of my FAVORITE paranormal groups White Dog Paranormal to meet me there. We had a great time!
Ok....I know, you guys don't care about all that....you just want to know if we saw any GHOSTS!!!
First here is a little bit about this wonderful place. It was built to help house visitors of the World Fair in 1893. It was also owned at one point by the one and only Al Capone. Supposedly the most haunted floors are the 4th and the 12th(I stayed on the 12th). Some of the spirits roaming this place is none other than Al himself along with a mother and two sons, whom supposedly was waiting for the arrival of her husband and when she found out he wasn't coming, she through her two boys over the 12th floor balcony and then jumped herself. Then there's Peg Leg Johnny, a hobo that was murdered in the hotel. And the MOST HAUNTED ROOM OF ALL #441. YES, I did request to stay in that room but was told the whole 4th floor was closed! Of course, we had to go check it out ourselves and found that the 4th floor was completely dark! Did we leave......of course not!!! We just sat down in the floor, in the dark and started conducting an EVP Session.

When you start asking questions about the spirits that haunt the hotel you will find out quickly that some of the people DON'T want to talk about it, but a couple of the bell hops were willing to share their stories. We were lucky enough to meet Johnny the late night security guard who has worked at the Congress for about 18 years. At first, he wasn't willing to talk, but he couldn't resist my Texas accent!!! LOL He eventually warmed up to us and took us on a tour all around the hotel and to places we normally wouldn't have access to. THANK YOU JOHNNY!!!! He told us story after story of paranormal activity. Even as recent as the week before we were there, of people leaving their rooms claiming things were moving, they were touched, etc.
After we left Johnny, we investigated on our own. Yep...you guessed it, we went places not many people could or WOULD not go. We had a lot of activity in a little stairwell we found behind an unmarked door. Be sure and watch the video I am posting of that session. You DON'T want to miss it!!!

I don't know about you....but for me......sometimes all the FANCY LIGHTS and all the ON AND OFF SWITCHES make ghost hunting a nightmare!!!(How did you like that play on words.HAHA) If you can figure out all the buttons they are awesome to have but sometimes you just want something simple. Turn it on and leave it...Right? Well, guess what??? I am going to tell you about two tools you can use that DO NOT have switches on them and the BEST PART.....NO BATTERIES!!! YEP!!! You read that right!!!! And are they reliable? They have been used for centuries and today are still considered to be very accurate and a MUST in most ghost hunters equipment bags.
What are they you ask??? Welllllll.................. A pair of Dowsing Rods and a Pendulum. I work as a HR Manager in my day job for a utility company and our guys use a set of Dowsing Rods to locate water. No.....silly they are not looking for ghosts! Dowsing Rods have been used for YEARS to locate water sources. Even with all the modern day equipment the BEST way to find water for us is to use dowsing rods. They are natural and accurate in locating water. No one really knows HOW they work....just that they do!!!! The same may be true for ghost, although they are primarily used for communication. Instead of pointing to where a ghost may be, dowsing rods are used to get simple "yes" or "no" answers from a spirit. Dowsing rods are "L" shaped and usually made of copper. The idea is to hold the rods loosely in your hand allowing them to move freely. Holding the shorter end with your fingers wrapped around start asking your questions and using directives like cross for "yes" or uncross for "no". Now, dowsing rods have even been used in police investigations to locate bodies or even a weapon of some sort. You can ask them to "point in the direction" to find a location or even a BODY!!!!!!!!!
The same is true for pendulums. I know people that never go ANYWHERE without their pendulum. I being one of those people SSSHHHH don't tell anyone.......but I carry one in my purse. Spirits can use anything to talk with us and there just might be something scientific about the movement they cause in the pendulum. Most are made from some rock or crystal that may have a special conductivity, which spirits can manipulate. The pendulums or stones are placed on the end of a small chain. Try concentrating on a need to talk or clearing of the mind. Begin by asking questions and telling the spirit to show you what the "yes" and "no" responses will look like. Maybe for "yes" it will go in a circle and for "no" it will glide back and forth more in a straight line.
I myself LOVE BOTH OF THESE TOOLS and have had GREAT success with them. It may take you a little while to get the feel of it....but just concentrate and relax and your answers will come.
Now, here's the best part! You can get a small set of dowsing rods for around $10 and more decorative ones up to $50. And pendulums, you can get this little jewel starting at under $5!!!! You can pick these up just about anywhere but Amazon and Ebay along with your ghost hunter stores make owning these simple but VERY USEFUL tools a breeze!

Also, here is an old video of my daughter for the first time using dowsing rods. What makes this video so impressive(besides you had to be there) was the wind was blowing sooooo HARD.....and the rods were turning INTO the direction of the wind to answer questions for us!!! I just don't know how they did it!!!! You will also notice my daughter's face of disbelief as they begin to move. Hi everybody! Welcome to my first post on a Wednesday. Hope you are all recovering from all the great food of Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas! Man....I am meeting myself coming and going....and going and coming! No one can ever say I don't live life to the fullest. But you know every now and then I would take "half of fullest" LOL
Ok.....lets get to it. Let's face it...we are ALL curious about what is on the other side. We are always searching for proof and answers. I've been doing this long enough to KNOW there IS something beyond this physical life. But sometimes the desire to prove may override our "little voice of reason".
Phenomena can come in many forms....voices, visions, sensations. We have to be able to validate these messages and what they mean. Spirit connection is NOT random. This not a party that everyone comes to and just walks around asking for signs. You have to KNOW the dangers. The spirits who come through have SOME connection to you or someone with you. It's no accident that they communicate with certain people.
Here's the deal...you can't let your curiosity suppress your normal good judgment. Spirits who show themselves to you or communicate with you have something to say or a REASON for doing so. Whether your weak, frightened or sometimes "open" to receive.....this could be why a spirit or demons connect to you.
Today, I was talking to a friend on the phone and she was telling me about an investigation that someone was wanting her to do. She was telling me about all the things happening in this clients home. And let me TELL YOU......it was some CRAZY STUFF!!!! STUFF like you see on TV and in the movies. And not the GOOD kind. Like demonic.
When you are doing what we do.....investigating the paranormal and dealing with spirits.....you have to KNOW that you DO NOT have to say YES to investigate a location. For ME, and my team.....we make a choice........the choice is we do not investigate locations with EXTREME DEMONIC ACTIVITY. The reason is.......I believe that you have to be of STRONG, STRONG faith.....now, don't get me wrong....I BELIEVE in GOD and feel I am a spiritual person BUT......I DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT DEMONS to protect myself nor am I comfortable taking someone with me to a location that has demonic activity and protecting them. I am just NOT WILLING TO RISK IT!!! What if I thought I was able to protect them.......and I was WRONG??????
Now, I'll deal with your "everyday ghost" and even the "not so nice" bad ghost but DEMONS......I'm OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel you have to be someone like a priest, or someone that is declared HOLY to understand and know how to handle things like this.
When someone calls me to do an investigation or I am researching a location on my own...I know this sounds strange but I LISTEN to that little voice in my head as well as an immediate feeling about the location. If I have an immediate reaction that says.....Nooooooo this doesn't feel right I heed the warning!!!!!
When you go into a location, spirits or demons can cause REAL harm if you do not know what you are doing or how to protect yourself. It's like this.......I wouldn't ask you to pick up a snake unless you were a snake handler or a professional. You could get hurt or even die if the snake was poisonous.....and here's the deal....you don't know enough about snakes to tell if it IS poisonous or not. Anyway, you get the point.
So.....long story short........Say NO to a location if you have any doubts about WHAT you are up against!!!! So many people see the TV shows and think how fun.....and trilling it would to see a ghost! The problem is what does the GHOST think when it sees you.......friend or victim????
I wanted to share an article by Steve Gonsalves of the TAPS Team or Ghost Hunters as most of us know him as. I thought this was a really good article about skepticism that I think we all who are in this field get a "good dose" of very often from maybe others that just don't understand what we do or maybe they do and just want to give us a hard time....either way I think Steve's article was really good.
Guarding Against Skepticism – by Steve Gonsalves
You spend a lot of time doing the research, finding the evidence, and showing your evidence to the public.All this time spent just to hear someone say “That’s not real” or “That just looks like smoke”. This person we all love is known as a skeptic. The skeptic could be another research group, the media, or it could be your friend who you are showing your latest research to. Skeptic is such an evil word for some, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Not if you research, collect, and present your evidence properly. Be your own skeptic, Don’t believe it until you see it. Collecting your evidence could be the most important part of your research. Most common evidence collected are photographs and videos. We will focus mostly on photographs. When taking pictures, We all know to make sure it’s not raining, no dust in the air, no camera straps, no smoking on the premises and no breathing in cold weather.
I would like to go over a few things that can be very beneficial to your investigations. The first thing you should know about is coupling. Coupling is using other tools in conjunction with your photographs. For instance, you could use an EMF gauge in conjunction with your photography. Most people do this anyway, but a lot of researchers don’t and most new investigators don’t know any better. This way you could present your evidence as, “Everytime my EMF gauge spikes a reading that supports paranormal phenomena, I capture this smoke like mist on film”. That is a much better way to present evidence then, “Look at the strange mist in these pictures”. The EMF gauge offers a scientific backing for your evidence. The same would work with thermal probes or any of the paranormal adapted technology we use.
Next, I’d like to talk about control pictures. These are pictures of a non-paranormal nature on the same roll of film with pictures of a paranormal nature. What this does is stops people from assuming it is something wrong with the whole roll of film. For example, say you are investigating a case where a woman knows where the activity is, and can tell it’s in the same room as her. You take a few pictures in the area she says it is, and also take a few pictures in the same area when she says it’s not there. This way, when you present these pictures as evidence you can say, “When she said the ‘entity’ was present we took these pictures with the fog like mist. When she said the ‘entity’ was gone, we took these control pictures we took came out clear of the fog like mist”. So we have control pictures validating our paranormal pictures. It can also be used as easily as taking pictures outside of the investigation location to use as control pictures. So you can present them as, “In the location we have these pictures with the fog like mist, we took these control pictures outside of the investigation location and all of these pictures are free from the fog like mist”.
One other thing I want to address is the lingo we use when talking about our research, and more importantly presenting our evidence. Try to stay away from words that may cast a negative shadow on our research. Words such as “Ghostbuster”, “Ectoplasm” and “Psychic”. Not that these things don’t exist, it’s just that these words and words like them reflect negatively on our research. Ectoplasm was a substance that used to exude from the mouths of early century mediums. Come to find out it was just cheesecloth they would swallow and regurgitate at the climax of their session. Also the Ghostbusters movie made Ectoplasm seem like a made up word. Try to use phrases like mysterious fog, strange mist, or even Ectoplasm-like mist instead of ectoplasm. You’ll find that if you use words like Ectoplasm, Psychic and Ghostbuster, people will have a harder time taking you seriously. Of course there is a lot more to making and keeping your reputation healthy, but using simple tips like these it will be a lot easier to present your evidence to skeptics.

I am headed to the MOST HAUNTED HOTEL IN THE US this weekend....The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado! I can not wait!!!! Wanted to go there for years!!!! I will be sure and take lots of pics and hopefully have lots of exciting things to share with you all when I get back!!!
So, here is a little about the Stanley: (And I would love to hear from you if you have had an experience at the Stanley)
The Stanley Hotel was built during the early part of 1900 by Freelan Oscar Stanley, the creator of the Stanley Steam Engine. Stanley and his wife, Flora, came to Colorado in 1903 under instructions from Stanley’s doctor to get some fresh mountain air. He suffered from tuberculosis and had been given six months to live. His doctor made arrangements for them to stay in Estes Park at a friend’s cabin for the summer. Stanley’s health improved dramatically and the couple loved the area.

The Stanley Hotel was built on land bought from Earl Lord Dunraven, who visited the area during an 1872 hunting excursion. Dunraven built a cabin, hotel and hunting lodge for guests and then homesteaded illegally up to 6,000 acres to try to develop a private hunting preserve. When it was discovered that Dunraven was trying to swindle people out of their money and land, he was made run away.
Construction on the Stanley Hotel began in 1906. Rock and wood obtained from nearby mountains was used to build it in the Georgian style of architecture. It was completed in 1909 and held its grand opening. The hotel catered to the rich and famous and boasted electricity, running water, and telephones. It didn’t have heat, however, so it was turned into a summer resort.

The Shining Hotel
Many people are aware of The Stanley Hotel because of Stephen King’s book The Shining. While he did not write the book while staying at the hotel, he did experience some things there that influenced his writing. King was working on a story centered around a haunted amusement park that had roller coasters flying off the tracks to eat people. His friends didn’t like the story and told him so. He decided to back away for a bit and think about the story some more so King and Tabitha, his wife, traveled through Estes Park and into the Rocky Mountain National Park. Highway 34, or Trailridge Road, was closed because of bad weather. They turned back and King decided to stay at the Stanley Hotel instead. He experienced some scary things while they were there and he worked a lot of these events into The Shining. This is why the hotel is sometimes referred to as the Shining Hotel.
Stanley Hotel Haunted
There have been a number of ghosts spotted at the Stanley Hotel. One of the most well-known is F.O. Stanley himself. He’s often seen hanging around in the Billiard Room and the lobby as these were his favorite areas of the hotel when he was living. He once appeared to a group of tourists that were in the Billiard Room by materializing behind one of the tourists. Bartenders at the Stanley claim to see F.O. strolling through the bar and vanishing as they attempt to stop him at the kitchen.
In addition, Flora Stanley has been spotted quite often. She used to entertain the guests by playing the piano in the ballroom. She’s said to still do just that. Many times, her music is heard, but only the piano keys are seen moving. However, if anyone walks into the room for further investigation, the music ceases, as does the movement of the piano keys.
Various rooms in the Stanley Hotel are especially active when it comes to paranormal activity. One of these is Room 407. Lord Dunraven is said to occupy this room at times. He supposedly likes to stand in the corner of the room close to the bathroom door. One witness said that a light constantly turned on and off. When the light was off, the witnesses informed the ghost that they knew of his presence.
They also told him that they were just staying two nights and then politely requested that he please turn back on the light. That’s when the light came back on. Later, the lights were off, but noises kept coming from an elevator close by. The problem was that this particular elevator was out of order at the time. There are other reports of a ghostly face peering out of the window of Room 407 even when the room is vacant.
Stanley Hotel Hauntings
Another room that gets a lot of attention is Room 418. The spirits here are mostly from children. Cleaning staff have heard many odd sounds coming from the room along with seeing impressions on the bed when no one has been in the room. When Room 418 is occupied, the guests talk about hearing children playing at night in the hallway. There was even a couple that checked out really early in the morning because of all the noise the children had made in the hallway all night. Oddly enough, no children were staying at the hotel then.
When Stephen and Tabitha King stayed at the hotel, it was at the end of the season and they were the only two guests. They stayed in Room 217. There was a tragic accident in this room during 1911. Housekeeper Elizabeth Wilson was almost killed during a gas leak explosion in that room. She survived the explosion but died in the 1950s. Since that time there has been odd and unexplained activity in Room 217. This activity includes lights turning on and off and doors opening and closing on their own. There are also reports of guests having their suitcases unpacked and items put away.
There’s a story that the tour guides tell about a small child that’s been spotted by a lot of the staff members all over the hotel. Even Stephen King saw this child calling for his nanny on the second floor. If you want the best chance to experience some ghostly activity, the best place to stay is on the fourth floor of the hotel. This is where children are heard at all hours of the night playing and chasing each other.

I have been looking around for some stories about The Stanley Hotel and here is one that sticks out. A person was on a ghost tour of the hotel and happened to take this picture just outside the hotel. As you can see the window has a child at it, but the figure is very hazy when it shouldn’t be because that window is actually opened. The person that took the photo investigated into this photo and called the hotel.

Bizarre things start to happen......shadow figures in the night, objects being thrown across the room, creepy sounds, the lights going on and off by themselves, strange voices, foul smells...............when is ENOUGH........ENOUGH????
For those of us who have experienced these things first hand the sleepless nights and the overwhelming fear can be paralyzing!!! Do you suffer in fear without looking for help? Do you stay and hope things will "just get better?" Is it all "just your imagination?" If you are one of these people there are many things you can try before "getting the HEL* out!"
Here's the sad part...many times when someone has had paranormal experiences they DO seek help, and are told they're crazy. Whether one believes in the paranormal or not, if the only recourse people have is to get some kind of help when they believe their house is haunted from paranormal investigators because everyone else thinks their CRAZY - then there's a good justification for paranormal investigators to exist. This is where WE(paranormal investigators) have to step back and listen with an OPEN MIND.....but at the same time try to HELP the homeowner by asking the right questions, doing research on the location and of course conduct an investigation. I take PRIDE in being non-judgmental person....NO MATTER WHAT a person tells me, I have no reason to doubt them until I know otherwise.
Now, to get off the subject a little bit. If you are dealing with paranormal activity please know that there is help out there. BUT there DOES come a time when all you may consider is moving out!!!
Talk to it-
As simple as this sounds, talking to the ghost is generally the easiest way to either have the ghost leave or at least reach some type of compromise to cohabitate. It is also the first thing I recommend to all my clients. Keep in mind that you may have to repeat yourself many times and make the message a little stronger each time. You may start out with something like "I love this house and I know you do too, so could we co-exist together? We can do that if you will stop doing the things you are doing". Then if that doesn't help give this a try. "This is OUR house and you are NOT wanted here! You need to get out now! LEAVE!!!"
One thing I want to bring up is...if the paranormal activity occurring in your home is rather recent, think about any items you may have purchased lately. It could be any items from a thrift store, eBay, garage sale, or an antique store. ANYTHING you bought second hand could have a ghost attached to it. If this is the case...GET RID OF IT!!! I don't mean put it in the basement, I mean get it off your property!
Have Your House Blessed-
If the spirit in your home is persistent, you may want a clergy to come into your home and bless the space. Some people are uncomfortable with this idea but you may need their help so don't be afraid to ask.
Now, if you prefer you can do it yourself. It is important that you pay particular attention to all doors, windows, the kitchen, and the bedrooms. Also pay close attention to any other rooms where paranormal activity may have occurred at one time.
You can burn sage incense or dried sage in every room of the house one at a time and repeat this simple house blessing in every room: Please bless this house and fill it with only positive energy, happiness, love, and peace. Anyone who enters this space can only be someone who is filled with love and happiness. Any negative energy or beings can no longer reside within these walls, and they are to leave and are forbidden to enter this home ever again. ADDITION(add this if you are trying to get rid of a nice spirit) Only the living can stay here within the walls of this home. If you are a gentle and kind spirit, you must also leave going toward the light. You are not wanted here any longer. Use Holy Water-
You can take a small, clean container with a lid and respectfully go to a church and fill it with holy water. When you get the holy water, go around your house and put a bit on your finger and make a sign of the cross on every door frame. Say "I bless and clean this space in the name of the Lord" or any other prayer you wish. The trick to completing this task is to REALLY believe with all your heart what you're saying is true.
Sage-
This has proven to be very effective for ridding homes with uninvited ghosts. First, buy a sage stick and light it, then blow it out so that there is only smoke coming from the stick. Place in a bowl and with a feather or whatever you want to use to direct the smoke...crack open one window in each room and starting from one end of your house and working your way to the other, walk through every room making sure the smoke from the sage gets into all the corners and nooks and crannies. While doing this you can say something like "This smoke is cleaning out any negative energy or spirits. All negative energy or spirits are commanded to leave now through the open window and are never to return.
DO Not Use Salt; Use Rice-
I know, I know, everyone says use sea salt around the outside of your house, but here's the deal....if you ALREADY have a ghost inside your home using salt is the LAST THING you want to do!!! Now, I can't say that I have used this technique but I know people who have and have had great results. See the theory is that spirits or ghosts won't or can't cross a line of sea salt.
So, instead use rice. Sprinkle a line of rice around the outside perimeter of your home, getting the rice as close to the foundation of your home as possible. The theory here is that the rice will LURE the spirit out of your house. THEN....go back outside and do the perimeter with sea salt.
And the last thing I want to say is DON'T SHOW FEAR or have negative feelings. If you had a bad day at work, or your not getting along with your spouse, then THIS IS NOT a good day to sage. You need to be in the right frame of mind meaning being positive...
And if you try everything you can and you have asked for help and nothing seems to work...your best plan may be to move!!! For the safety of you and your family, for the peace of mind of being able to "feel safe" this may be your only option.

So, we are investigating Yorktown Memorial Hospital next month and I am sooooo excited!!! This place has been abandon for years and the best part is that all or most of the furnishings, beds, toys, dishes, and even some instruments used during surgery.
The Felicia Sisters of the Roman Catholic Church founded Yorktown Hospital in 1950. The hospitals' motto was "So that more may live longer," though the facility saw more lives lost than saved. The hospital closed in the late 1980s and was briefly turned into a drug rehabilitation center. It is estimated that the hospital saw fifty deaths per year, which is a total of about 2,000 during its history.
While death was a common occurrence, two have garnered special attention-a possible double homicide that took place in the basement. It is said you can still see the bloodstained wall in the basement. Can you believe that? In this day and age that we would ever live blood on the walls of a homicide. The story goes that a female staff member was involved with two male patients. One day, she was caught by one of the males, who observed her speaking quietly with the other. He flew into a rage and stabbed them both to death. It is said that you can still hear the screams and sounds of the attack drifting up through the walls.
And then there is "T.J." He is said to have allegedly been dropped off on the steps of the hospital by some friends late one night. No one rang the bell for help. The nuns found him in the morning, dead of a heroin overdose. It is said that TJ rings the entry bell outside and raps on the glass.
There have also been reports of people being kicked, punched, slapped by unseen forces inside the building. Even in the chapel, an malevolent spirit of a nun is said to choke intruders, especially men. This is one of those places you really have to keep your imagination in check. Inside this place where there are places of complete darkness, and the walls hold such secrets.....you are likely to encounter many spirits and MANY who are NOT happy about your visit.
Another spirit is said to be Dr. Leon Nowiersky. The Dr. practiced well into his 90's and held the oldest medical license in the state of Texas. He was notorious for making mistakes including slitting a patient’s throat during a thyroid procedure. Dr. Nowiersky is said to be one of the many spirits that haunt the hospital where he roams the halls around the ER/OR and near the doctor’s lounge. He is said to enjoy flirting and groping women in his office.
Stacy a little girl around the age of 8 is said to play in the basement hallway, as well as the room she stayed in on the first floor, and in the library on the second floor. One story is that if you contact Stacy in the basement and ask her to roll a ball & play and offer her a story reward, she will play with a ball & then if you go up to the library she will appear as your read a book to her (her favorite is Pokey Little Puppy). And Doug Richards. Doug was a heavy equipment Mechanic who, according to evidence gathered by different sources, died in 1973. Many people have claimed to see the apparition of Doug and have described him as a very tall man wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. And lastly the nuns. There are many reports of the spirits of some of the nuns who ran the hospital. One of the biggest reports is that up in the nun’s quarters and in the balcony of the chapel, people (particularly women, but sometimes men as well) with tattoos have been choked or even scratched by the nuns.
I can not WAIT to check this place out. Zak from Ghost Adventures said this is one of the MOST haunted places he has ever investigated. If any of you have been there or done an investigation PLEASE write me and let me know about your experience.

The art of dowsing has been around for centuries, perhaps even thousands of years. It is the oldest form of divination known to man and has been used for a variety of different reasons, including searches for underground water, discovering the location of unmarked graves, determining the sex of unborn children and even locating ghosts.
How dowsing actually works remains a mystery, but it has proven to be uncannily accurate over the years. Even the American Society of Dowsers admits that “the reasons the procedures work are entirely unknown.”
The standard practice of dowsing is to search for underground water sources. No one knows how this works, it simply does. I work for a water dept. and with all the MODERN DAY equipment to locate water lines, the one my company still RELIES on the most....is you guessed it...dowsing rods. I am just amazed sometimes when I watch the guys walk over a water source and the rods just cross!!!!
Here is a video of my daughter using a set of dowsing rods for the very first time. What impresses me about this clip, is that the wind was blowing pretty hard that day, so the rods SHOULD not have been able to move AGAINST the strong wind BUT THEY DID!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can see the surprise look on my daughters face. This video was taken at South Padre Island, Tx at a haunted light house. I just had to stop by on the way home. One more thing you will notice, it is NOT at night!!! It was early morning and we were having great communication as you will see. So, see ghosts don't care if it's nighttime....they just want to say HI.
OK......I know. It looks like Dowsing Rods could easily be manipulated by the person holding the rods, but until you use them, you won't understand that WE are NOT manipulating them at all!!!!! They are a favorite tool of mine to use when ghost hunting....so give them a try!
Just wanted to share this story with you guys about a haunted house in Hanover Pennsylvania.
A home in Hanover, York County will be featured on a national TV show on Saturday. The homeowners say their house is severely haunted, with multiple ghosts and other entities.
Homeowner DeAnna Simpson says they’ve lived in the home for seven years, and put everything they had into buying it. She says she and her husband didn’t find out it was haunted until soon after they moved in.
“We put everything into this house,” says Simpson. “And we do want to move, but we would have to list it at such a price where we could recoup what we put in.”
Simpson has ghostly photos, as well as photos from something that scratches people who come inside. She also has audio recordings of voices, children laughing, and dogs barking that were not in the house.
“Five plus,” she says of the number of ghosts in the house. “I have some here that are protecting me, some women here that are protecting me, but the majority are bad, dark forces, inhuman.”
Simpson says one of the entities in the house is a demon. It appears in a photo as a 7-foot-tall shadow figure. While the TV crew were there, Simpson recorded orbs on her cell phone camera and it caught a clip of a shadowy hand reaching out.
I just had to share this picture with you guys! I give a ghost tour one weekend of the month. One of the spirits we communicate with is STEVE, one of the NASTIEST spirits I have ever ran across!!! This guy has raped, murder and killed many innocent people. When he comes through to communicate... all other spirits are silent. He is VERY dominating! He swears and has NO remorse for what he has done.....and has physically grabbed me before!!! Not a nice guy!!!

The simple answer is "yes". It has long been reported that after a natural disaster has occurred that people almost immediately start to report sightings of ghosts. Think about all the reasons someone "stays behind"....... unfinished business, can't leave their loved ones, confused-don't know they are dead and many more ......who really knows but wouldn't you agree that in a natural disaster ALL of those reasons would be running through the minds of the victims? Where there were a lot of "emotional attachments" or "feelings" at a location.....usually the paranormal activity is pretty high.
So, if you think about it.....in a natural disaster such as a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, fire, explosions, etc. what do all these things have? EMOTION. Can you imagine the FEAR and the CONFUSION during a natural disaster as a earthquake or hurricane? Where are my loved ones? What is happening? Am I going to die? What will my loved ones do without me? What about my beloved pets....who will take care of them? I can't die, I won't get to see my kids grow up? My husband or wife can't make it without me! ALL of these things running through YOUR mind......now take that and times it by hundreds and thousands of people thinking the same thing! The energy in a location like this must be crazy!!!!Confusion, helplessness and chaos running through the minds of the living..........but also of the DEAD!!!
So many times spirits don't even KNOW what happened to them. Things happened so fast that they don't even realize that they have died and so they try live the same way they always did. But now maybe with a bit more confusion as to what happened and why their loved ones don't see them or respond to them. And for us the living, sometimes this can be very hard. Because keep in mind, helping them into the light, going to heaven, crossing over whatever you want to call it, is what we need to do..... being STUCK is not where you want your loves. So as hard as it may be, we must let them know what happened and that they have died and need to move on. I know if I lost my grandparents in a natural disaster and didn't get to say "Bye" or tell them "I loved them" it would be hard for me.....but here's the thing......keeping them HERE with US is a little on the selfish side. Sorry, but that's they way I feel. Keeping them HERE is for US to feel better, NOT what is best for THEM.
You know me, I am going to put it in "Becky Terms". It's like having a beautiful butterfly in a jar. Man...it is soooo pretty to look at and it makes you smile every time you look at it......BUT is being in that jar REALLY what is best for the butterfly??? Or would it be better to let it go.....so that it could fly up into the sky roaming around where ever it likes? Anyway, you get the picture. :)
It is VERY sad when something like this happens, and make NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT.....my heart goes out to anyone who has ever had to deal with this, but it does cause a location to become more haunted or active. So, if you are ghost hunting, a site where a natural disaster occurred is probably a good location to investigate. And again, be respectful of the place you are investigating.
Dark, Creepy and full of dead people.......what else could a girl ask for??? Right? LOL Ok...I guess that's not EVERY girls dream but for me....IT IS!!!! I LOVE CEMETERIES!!! As far back as I can remember, if you wanted a good scare...you headed to a cemetery. With all the legends of ghosts, vampires, witches, monsters, demons....you name it......you can find them ALL in a cemetery?
Why is that??? Why are we so fascinated with death??? And why is it that when people die, then we still can't let them go....all of the sudden there are stories and legends of the people buried in the cemeteries!
Now, let's be honest, most spirits are tired to a place because of a tragic death, or a horrific event that they died suddenly.....these kinds of events DON'T happen in cemeteries, so WHY would spirits be so active in a cemetery? Ghosts who haunt cemeteries seem to be a different "type" than you would find in a haunted house. Now, I don't mean.... one rattles chains and one doesn't. It seems that ghosts that haunt cemeteries are seeking eternal rest at the spot where their physical bodies lie. We have all heard of spirits that have risen from the dead for one reason for another and continue to roam freely in the cemeteries....looking for what?........peace.....resolution.......in some cases.....revenge of another......who really knows. The mystery remains as to WHY we immortalize death with stones and markers. Is it REALLY for the dead.....of course..... it is out of respect to those who have lost their lives and to help those left behind heal. But, then why do we continue to want to see them live on as a spirit? I don't think there is really a solid answer to this question....just because.
One thing that intrigues me is PORTALS or DOORWAYS in cemeteries. The theory behind this phenomena is that spirits can come and go in between worlds....what I call spirit world and the NOW world. It has been said that there are portals or doorways all over the world where spirits can come and go as they wish. But wouldn't you agree.....that a cemetery would be a great place for one? So many spirits in one place that could come and go freely? Far-fetched? Maybe. But the spirits that have been seen, heard, photographed and reported in cemeteries may have something to them. It has been suggested that portals are crossing points of sacred earth energy lines of temples, churches, stone circles and burial sites. At this particular spot is where a portal or doorway maybe located.
Here's the deal...whatever the reason.....and yes I do understand that there are some "ghost hunters" that would disagree with me a 100 % BUT......whatever the reason, I can honestly say, some of MY BEST experiences have been in a cemetery. I do believe however, that of all the cemeteries I have visited ONLY one do I truly believe to have found a PORTAL or DOORWAY to the "other side". Of course I'm going to tell you the name of it......DRY CREEK, in Terrell, Tx. I'm not going into great detail about my experience there, you can read about it under the archives (left side of blog)session of my blog under 2013.
Before I stop for the day I DO want to say one thing.........if you are in a cemetery.....roaming around....looking for the deep, dark secrets that it holds.....BE RESPECTFUL!!!!! Regardless of the reason you are there....this is a place that our loved ones, strangers and even some "not so nice" folks call "home". Act as if you are a guest in their home, would you please?
