MISS MOLLYS IS HAUNTED!!!-FORT WORTH, TEXAS-SEE WHY






I am doing a re-post on the very haunted Miss Molly's in Forth Worth, Texas.  Some of my followers on Facebook are going and wanted to know about my experience at this awesome little place....so here ya go.....

So, after living so close to this haunted Bed and Breakfast, I finally got to go investigate it! I have wanted to do this forever! Miss Molly's has been featured on many paranormal shows and has reported lots of activity there.  And I can say, I wasn't disappointed!!! 

 

The place itself is awesome and no doubt you step back into time here.... it is very dark and dim inside with only one set of narrow stairs to get in and out of the hotel.  You must have a key to even get in the hotel at all.  There are only 8 rooms to rent(really 9 but Tina lives in #9).  The beds are the original rod iron beds from the 1800's (ok.....ok......don't freak out.....just the bed frames... not the mattresses LOL).  It has one "common sitting room" with one TV and one kitchen, and three separate bathrooms(not updated I might add. LOL) that all guest must share.  I'm not going to lie....this was a first for me....and I wasn't to sure I liked it at all, but  hey....you definitely got to know the other people staying at the hotel. The rooms are furnished with either a full size or two double beds and one very small closet.  So, if you bring a lot of equipment...you are going to be cramped for room.  

 

And just so you know, the beds are very small.  The cowboys must not have been very tall back then.  Just ask Deak, his feet hung over the bed about the middle of his calves.  Very funny to see.  One more thing I want to point out....even though this place is GREAT and the "FEELING" of the place definitely gives you the impression you are going to get a lot of activity......the noise on the weekends is awful!!!  The walls are paper thin as I guess installation wasn't a priority back in the 1800's so all the bars and outside noise can be very distracting and really makes it very difficult when reviewing your evidence for EVP's.( Not "dogging" the place...just being honest)  But Tina,  the innkeeper and has lived there in the hotel for over a year and she was GREAT!!!!  She sat down with us and gave us the background of all the paranormal activity and who they believe are still here.  This is an old brothel where "lady's of the night" would entertain cowboys and other visitor's to Fort Worth.  Most of the customers were cowboys that brought in the longhorn cattle to be sold but of course there were the railroad guys and gunslingers to. 

  

This time, I didn't take the whole team just Deak (boyfriend) and I went to check it out.  Right off the bat...Deak was talking with the innkeeper, Tina as I was walking around in the back taking pics and they heard something walk across the roof of the building, but Tina said there is nothing on top and no way anyone would be walking around up there. Now, keep in mind, this was just after a major ICE STORM here in Texas, so maybe it was ice shifting.  But when I suggested this as an explanation, Deak and Tina both said "no" they would know what that sounded like and this was "footsteps".

 

First, there are all kinds of reports of paranormal activity here from, lights going on and off by themselves, strange sounds, footsteps, a little girl's voice, believed to be named Emma which was the daughter of an unmarried "working girl".   Also, the Madame, Miss Josey seems to be very interested WHO visits her establishment.  And..... TOUCHING..... lots of TOUCHING have been reported especially by men. 

 

Ok....back to my experiences.  You know me.....I get off track sometimes......just sometimes....LOL  One of MY experiences that I had personally was about 2:00am in the morning and I was sitting in the dark by myself with nothing but the glow of a small Christmas tree light beside the couch, the TV wasn't on and everyone was already in bed.  I had the K-2 meter going and also my M2 app on my phone when all the sudden I could hear VERY LOUDLY AND PLAINLY boots coming up the stairs.  I thought, well a guest must be coming back from the rodeo(as that was why all the other guest were there) so I just sat up straighter on the couch(you know....when know one is looking you kick your feet up and slouch)well............I just kept waiting..............and waiting...............and waiting........... to see someone come up the stairs because I knew the ONLY way you could get in the hotel was with a key......but know one ever came up.  But STEP......... BY.......... STEP I could hear them coming.....  so, I began thinking to myself "really.....how long does it take to walk up those stairs???"   So, I started taking pictures(1-4) and walked over to the top of the stairs and looked down and there wasn't anyone there!!!!!!  But here is the creepy part......the footsteps I heard just kept coming......STEP.........by STEP..............by STEP!!!!  I was in such disbelief....I was hearing the steps of heavy boots walking right up toward me but yet there was know one there!!!!!!!!!! I wished I could say my heart wasn't about to jump right out of my skin but it was, I thought SOMETHING or SOMEONE was going to walk right through me!!! After a few minutes they stopped.  JUST STOPPED!!!  After a huge sigh of relief(don't tell anyone about that part  hahaha  WE ghost hunters aren't suppose to get scared you know)....I went back and sat down trying to make since of what just happened!!!  And just for fun....I took one more picture. 

 

As you can see......the first picture is from when I first started hearing the footsteps, the second and third is when I was looking down the stairs trying to figure out what was happening....and the fourth............see for yourself..................WAS I CRAZY or did an old cowboy come up for company??????

Another experience was in our room, room #8.  After we were done investigating, I was laying in the bed, just reflecting on the evening when a VERY BRIGHT....VERY BIG orb came down right in front of the closet and made a big swoop down to the floor and then disappeared.  It was one of the BEST orbs in motion I have ever seen!

Room #8.  This is NOT the orb I saw.  The one I actually saw was much bigger and Brighter.
But I think it helps validate my experience.

While we were investigating in Room #3, we communicated a lot with EMMA the little girl who lived there and died when she was around 7 in Room #3 where her mother "worked".  Miss Josey was also very welling to communicate with us.  I will be posting soon our video of that communication and have hopefully some EVP's from that night.  Miss Josey said that she had been in love with a cowboy that brought in longhorn cattle to sell but was shot in a gunfight and died.  I got the feeling she was a friendly spirit even though I heard she would lock up the "working girls" in a small, small closet in her room for being bad.

 

Now, EMMA is just a delight!!!  We brought her a toy horse to play with and she loved it!!!  Every time we would ask her to go play with the horsey....the K-2 would go crazy!

 And last but not least......Tina told us that spirits like to show themselves in the mirror in Room #3-Miss Amelia's room(Emma's mother).  We DEFINITELY had the most activity in this room.  Below are a couple of pictures I took of the mirror.  Granted....there is a lot of FLASH reflection so....I'll just let you decide.   Could the first picture be the silhouette of Miss Amelia?  The figure of a woman in a long dress with her arm bent upward?  An the second pic.....is this the face of a young girl growing up in a place young girls SHOULDN'T be???  The third and fourth pictures are the original photos BEFORE I enlarged them for you.

I can't wait to go back to Miss Molly's and bring the whole team where we can set up everywhere and hopefully do it on a week night this time to avoid some of the outside noise.  Still LOVED THIS PLACE!!

Here is a video we made of a flashlight session.  I know it is a little weird and the questions Deak ask seem a little "edgy" but we didn't know what to ask "ladies of the night". It is a little embarrassing.  I told him to ask questions like he was a "customer". LOL so sorry.
 



THE SILVER QUEEN HOTEL...HAUNTED? THIS PLACE IS AS CREEPY AS THEY COME!



The Silver Queen Hotel in Virginia City, Nevada was built in 1876 and has been noted for many different accounts of paranormal activity. So much in fact that the guests of the hotel, often complain about strange sounds during the night. The Queen has served many different purposes. The wedding chapel was once used as a make-shift morgue, when the ground was too frozen to bury the dead.

There have been MANY reports of paranormal activity from this old but I wanted to share a story James Oberding wrote about.  I have not been to the Silver Queen, but it to is on my list!!!

James wrote that the night he spent in the Silver Queen Hotel was "not at all" restful.  He talked about the couple next to his room having an argument.  The walls are paper thin in this hotel so there is little room for "private conversations" much less to have an argument with your spouse!  He said he rolled over and looked at the clock and it was 2:30am in the morning.

He said the fight was on!  He said something cruel, she snapped back.  He replied, and she started to cry.

"Come on you two," he yelled to the people next door.  "No one wants to hear your fights."
WHAM!  It sounded like he had shoved her against the wall.  She was crying and begging his forgiveness.  That was it!  He was shoving her around and she was begging for forgiveness.  He needed to go to jail and she needed help..........but more help than he could give her.  He jumped up, ready to call the front desk when he thought..."what a minute, this is a small town and those who manned the desk were probably home somewhere sleeping like babies."  "Fine, I'll call the sheriff."  No.  That won't work because there was no phone in his room.  And this was before everyone carried cell phones, so James couldn't call anyone. 

Then the name-calling began; he reeled off every vile name you could think of.   She just kept crying.

"Why don't you just leave him?  James thought to himself.  Anything has to be better than what you're enduring.  He pushed her against the wall again.  She whimpered and promised never to do it again.  What could she have done that warranted this kind of abuse???  Nothing.  He was a cruel monster, and James was going to report him first thing in the morning.

Then there was silence.  Had they kissed and made up?  James glances at the clock again.  By now it was a little past 3;00am, and if the couple next door stayed quiet, he could still get a few hours of sleep.

The next morning, James got up a 7:30am because he wanted to get down stairs and report what went on in the room next to his before the couple checked out.  He found the manager and dutifully shared what he had heard.  She looked at him very confused.  "Your kidding me right?" she asked.

Kidding her!!!!  Why would I kid about a thing like that?  People begin abused is something he would not kid about!!!

The manager said, "there was no one in that room last night".  James finding this very frustrating that the manager wasn't taking him seriously, said "so, what they just sneaked in?"

The manager smiled and said, "well, not exactly".  "What you heard were our ghosts.  A man murdered his girlfriend in that room a long time ago, and....".  She stopped at James expression of disbelief.  "No one could have possibly stayed in that room last night.  Come on, I'll show you".

James followed her up the stairs and she opened the door.  Except for a ladder, a drop cloth, and other painting supplies, the room was empty!  James could NOT BELIEVE what he was seeing!!!! 

The manager just smiled and said, "Come back and stay with us anytime".

Isn't that a cool story!!!  I have had a similar experience like that before and it IS really weird when you hear all the noises in another room and come to find out there is no one in there.  Love to hear about your experiences or even better........if you have stayed in the Silver Queen Hotel!!!!

UPDATE ON THE HAUNTED BARKER HOTEL

Thought I would share this with ya'll.....found it interesting since I just wrote about this Tuesday under Worlds Most Haunted Places II and I hadn't heard anything about the Barker since we went to a ghost conference about three weeks ago.

 

WORLDS MOST HAUNTED PLACES II

No doubt that every town, city or state has haunted places in them.  If you search long enough, you can find them just about everywhere!  But certain locations....whether they are haunted because of a tragic event.....battles...murders...whatever....some locations peak the interest of people more than others. 

Below I have list some of the most HAUNTED PLACES in the world.  These locations are ALL very haunted and sought after by the most experienced ghost hunters and the public for that matter.

The Lizzy Borden House, Boston, Mass.

    Everyone knows about this house!!!   The story of a young girl named, Lizzie Borden was accused of brutally hatching her step-mother and father to death in the house.  What made this crime even more disturbing...was Lizzie took the ax to their faces!!    Although she was tried and found innocent, others feel it was very CLEAR on who committed the murders.  Many say that that all three spirits remain tied to this house.  I have only drove by the house, which by today's standards seem very small and has been repainted and the outside remodeled just a little.  The day I went to take the tour it snowed so we couldn't go in.  Love to hear if you have been to Lizzie's house and what kind of experience you had?

     Handprints in the mirrors, footsteps on the stairs, mysterious smells, vanishing objects, death by poison, hangings, murder and gunfire -- the Myrtles Plantation in the West Feliciana town of St. Francisville, Louisiana holds the rather dubious record of hosting more ghostly phenomena than just about any other house in the country.  The story goes...Chloe, the vengeful slave who murdered the wife and two daughters of Clark Woodruff in a fit of jealously and anger.     I have not gone here YET...but definitely on my list!!!

    This Mansion is also in Louisiana.  It is in New Orleans and considered by many to be haunted by slaves that practiced voodoo back in 1830.  It is the treatment of the slaves who cleared the land, built the main house and store, and planted and harvested the fields that has left this historic mansion riddled with ghost stories and paranormal activity. Though some would say the slaves at Magnolia were treated humanely, lingering artifacts tell a different story. Leg stocks used for public punishment, humiliation and starvation still stand on the property. There are journal entries from Lecomte family members and foremen that describe hunting escaped slaves all the way to Texas.

I have not been here, but know people who have and say it is VERY HAUNTED!!! Be sure to check it out!


The Barker Hotel, Mineral Wells, Tx

    This hotel was built in 1929 because so many people were starting to come to Mineral Wells because of the water.The stories of ghosts and hauntings began in the Baker long before it ever closed. A porter who worked there during the 1950's and 1960's was the first known to witness the ghost of the woman on the seventh floor. She was possibly the mistress of the hotel manager. Distraught from her affair she jumped to her death from the top of the building. The year of the incident has not been verified but the room she stayed in, apparently quite comfortably, was a suite on the southeast corner of the seventh floor. Many have reported smelling her perfume and her spirit is said to be quite flirtatious with men she may fancy.

I recently went to a paranormal conference where a physic was talking about the Barker Hotel.  She had been there a couple of times and said she spoke with the spirit that was said to have jumped to her death.  This spirit wanted her(the physic) to let people know that she DID NOT jump to her death.  Someone else is responsible for it. 

I have contacted the Barker a couple of times trying to get in to do an investigation, but the City said it is to dangerous because of the condition of the building decaying. At the convention they also announced that developers where in the process of buying the building to refurbish it.  I think that would be great!  Have a beautiful building like the Barker and you KNOW with all the construction, it will make the activity there even better!  That is a little selfish on my part...but true. LOL  Nevertheless, this hotel has many spirits and I hope to get to visit it soon!

I always find a ghost everywhere I go! LOL

Ok....long story short of Annie Palmer.  Annie Palmer married John Rose Palmer in 1820 and lived in the 1770 Mansion that was built by John Rose Palmers Great Grandfather, John Palmer.  Little did John know that his young wife possessed “black magic” powers that would eventually lead to his demise. During her reign as mistress of the plantation, Annie did away with two more husbands and countless lovers. “The White Witch of Rose Hall” has fascinated generations, and even today, there are those who claim to see Annie passing through the Great House.  The Great House at one time sat on 650 acres of land mostly sugarcane fields and houses about 250 slaves.

 

Annie is also referred to as the "White Witch of Rose Hall" because she had countless affairs with her slaves and practiced "black magic" she learned from the slaves.  Unfortunately for Annie Palmer she took the promised husband of a slave's daughter to bed and killed him. With his daughter grief stricken, the slave who was also verse in black magic engaged and managed to kill Annie Palmer.

 

We had a private tour and was allowed to take pics but was told that they are no longer going to allow pictures of the outside or inside of the house.  They didn't give us a really good reason for that, but I feel lucky we got to. ssshhhh  No one is suppose to know that!

 

This place is beautiful!!!!  But is has a VERY DARK PAST and I think at night, this could be a really creepy place to visit.  Anyway, if you get the chance, check it out!!!!

I wanted to share this with you guys.  It is at the Wingate Hotel in Illinois.  There have been many complaints about noises and screaming coming from room #209.  Take a look for yourselves.  It gave me chills when I saw it.  To me, it is very impressive even though the "shadowy figure" seems a little suspect.  Either way, to me, this looks authentic.  Differently gives me the creeps!!!  VERY GOOD!!!  It will have you thinking about it for hours. :)
