About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

DO OUR DEPARTED PETS GIVE US SIGNS THEY ARE STILL HERE?

Your heart is breaking.....and the tears come pouring down your face like a raging water fall.  You can't believe how much it hurts.  How real the pain is!  If you have ever lost a believed pet like I did this past weekend, you understand completely what I'm talking about.

If you are a pet owner, no matter what the pet....a dog, cat, bird or even snakes (sorry, snakes scare the crap out of me) you develop a love for them that is unconditional.  When you had a bad day.... you've wrecked the car, and have no idea what to do now....you were still greeted with a long, wet kiss on the face when you walked through the door and suddenly what you thought was the worst day ever...doesn't seem so bad after all.  Or your are sobbing at that sad, sad last episode of Friends,  and your "best friend" jumps in your lap and looks up at you with those big brown eyes and gives you THAT SWEET look of "it's going to ok" and you can't help but smile.  Yep.  That's the power they have on us.

So, what happens when we lose them?  We grieve and grieve.  You think about them everyday and can hardly look at a picture of them without breaking down.  Suddenly, strange things start to happen.  You think you see something run through the hall.  You see something jump on your bed that isn't there.  But here's the deal.  Sometimes when we see apparitions or ghosts of a living person, they are here for several reasons.  Maybe because of a tragic event, unfinished business and sometimes the person doesn't even know they are dead.  But pets are different.....

There is only one reason their spirit stays behind.  And that's YOU!  Our pets entire lives are built around us and being our companion.  Nothing makes a pet happier than pleasing their owner.  So, guess what?  When they die....that doesn't change. And let me tell, thanks goodness it doesn't!
Me and Holly-My sweet girl that died in 2015
My boy Tanner.  RIP

This post is dedicated to my beloved Tanner.  My best friend for 15 years.  RIP my sweet boy.  You take a piece of my heart with you. (Feb. 2004-Feb.2019)
So, if you think you have lost your "best friend" you haven't.  The shadow in hall or the dog toy that suddenly shows up out of know where....is just he/she paying you a visit.  They will give you signs in many different ways to let you know they are still right by your side.

I want to tell you about my personal experience of a message Tanner gave me the day he died.  My poor boy, Tanner was 15 years old and even though his body was still going strong in spite of wobbly legs and being blind as a bat.  I always thought I would be able to make "that HARD decision" when the time came that he couldn't walk or move anymore BUT NEVER did I think I would have to make that decision because of his MENTAL state of mine.  He started pacing about a week ago.  He would scratch on the doors like he wanted out, but the doors where open.  He would stare into the corners of the room and seem to be so lost.  I wasn't sure what was happening so I took him to the vet who diagnosed him with Dog Dementia.  Who knew that was even a thing!!!!!  She said he just doesn't recognize where he is and it could be scary for him.

She gave me some medicine to try....but it didn't help at all.  After about a week of this, I couldn't take it anymore.  The thought that he was scared and didn't know where he was and being blind on top of that...was more than my heart could take.  I called the vet Friday morning and said, "today is the day".  I feed him his favorite food and gave him his favorite treats and in my mind tried to make it just like any other normal day.  Talking and playing with him first thing in the morning.  But then it was time.  I drove to vet and let my boy go to Heaven without me.  I had never had to make this kind of decision before.  And for anyone who has, even though you know it is the right thing to do, making this kind of decision is the worst feeling ever!!!!

I walked to the car and began to sob uncontrollably with my hands over my face.  Had I done the right thing?  Did he have more time?  Should I have waited?  I needed help.  I needed a sign.  I let my hands drop and looked to the heavens and said, "Tanner, PLEASE I need a sign that I did the right thing.  I can't move on unless I know."  I slowly started the car and just by habit I turned on the radio.  And there was only ONE sentence that came on.  It was Carrie Underwood singing Amazing Grace...but I didn't hear the whole song only the last sentence...……………..I was blind, but now I see.  And not another thing was said.  Not  a commercial...…..not a DJ for a few seconds.  There was definitely a pause before the DJ began to talk.  And with that, I raised my head and said "Thank you" and drove home with a smile on my face.

Now, I wanted to include an article written by Stanley Coren Ph D., that I just read that has nothing to do with ghosts, or ghost spirits, but it does have to do with death and how when we have more than one pet that the other pet grieves as well.  That's right.  Your other pet.  The one that will stare into the kitchen looking at the dog bowl as if they are seeing something.  Maybe they are!  But lets not forget them in this process.  They grieve as well.  And you know, as much as your pet loved you...they loved your other pet to.  So, it is no surprise that they would come back to say "hi" to them as well.  The article below talks about your pets grief.  I thought it was really good and just wanted to include it with this blog.

Do Dogs Grieve Over the Loss of an Animal Companion?

A poignant study confirms what many owners suspected about pets and grieving.

Posted Nov 10, 2016

I recently visited the home of some friends who have always had Boston Terriers as their companion dogs, usually in pairs, and always in the traditional black and white coloration. Quite often, they also had a cat as a pet, which was usually black-and-white to match the dogs. I always felt that it was Violet's work as an interior decorator that compelled her to have color-coordinated pets. On this visit, I found only one dog in the house. Lou explained that in the course of a few months they had lost one of their Boston Terriers (Lily) and shortly thereafter their cat (Rosie). Lou went on to say, "Now we only have Daisy. She took the loss of Lily and Rosie pretty hard, so we are looking to get a puppy companion for her as soon as possible."
I sat down on the sofa where Violet was sitting with Daisy. She said:
"Daisy was really upset when Lily passed. She kept checking the places where Lily usually took her naps, and when she didn't find her she would whine or whimper. She also got really clingy and demanded a lot of affection from me. Things got better after a month or so but then Rosie, our cat, died. I was surprised to find that Daisy showed the same kinds of behaviors when she couldn't find Rosie. Daisy kept looking for her in her usual spots, began whimpering again, and seemed to want to be close to me. She even stopped eating as enthusiastically as she usually did, as though she had lost part of her appetite."
Although Daisy's behavior at the loss of her canine companion was familiar to me, I was a bit surprised to learn she showed signs of grief at the loss of the cat as well. However, a recent study published in the journal Animals attempts to catalog the behaviors of dogs and cats when they suffer the loss of an animal housemate, and what the study found suggests that Daisy's behavior is not atypical. The study was conducted by a team of researchers headed by Jessica Walker of the New Zealand Companion Animal Counsel who collected data pertaining to 159 dogs and 152 cats. The data consisted of questionnaire responses from pet owners in New Zealand and Australia who owned multiple pets at the same time and had lost one within the past five years. The pet owners were asked to recall how the surviving pet responded to the disappearance of their companion.

One of the most common behaviors observed in dogs was to continually check the places where their lost housemate normally napped or rested. This behavior was found in 60 percent of the dogs (regardless of whether the lost companion was a dog or a cat) and 63 percent of the cats. Virtually the same proportion of surviving pets demanded more affection or became clingy and needy (61 percent of dogs and 62 percent of cats). Increases in whining and whimpering was less frequent, occurring 27 percent of the time in dogs. However, increased vocalizing was much more common in cats (43 percent). Roughly one in three dogs and cats reduced the amount of food they ate and the speed in which they ate it (35 percent in dogs and 31 percent in cats). Dogs were more likely to increase the amount of time that they spent sleeping (34 percent), which was less likely in cats (20 percent). The interesting thing is that these are all behaviors one might observe in a young human child experiencing grief and stress because of the loss of a human family member.

Two aspects of this data surprised me. The first is that the cats seem to show grief-like behaviors to the same extent as the dogs. The second is that the dogs seem to show an equal amount of grief-related behavioral changes when the animal companion they lost was a cat rather than another dog.
One particularly interesting finding is that some animal behaviorists believe that the grief response in dogs can be reduced if the animal has a chance to view their deceased companion's body. The idea is that this provides closure: The dog will understand that their companion is no longer alive and is not coming back. In the study, 58 percent of the dogs and 42 percent of the cats got to view the body of their companion. The majority (73 percent) took the time to sniff and investigate their deceased housemate. However, no one reported behavioral differences between the animals that saw, and those that did not see, a dead companion's body. This seems to confirm that dogs act very much like human children younger than four, in that they do not have a concept of death as a final and irrevocable separation. Instead, they simply feel the loss of the presence, friendship, and companionship of their loved one; that loss causes their stress and grief-like behaviors.

The conclusion to draw from this study is that dogs and cats suffer from stress when a companion animal from their household dies. Because of this, they show behaviors which can be interpreted as grief. Further, a dog is just as likely to grieve over the loss of the household cat as it is for the loss of a companion dog.

From me Becky:
Give them extra attention, toys and treats.  Remove or put away all the toys played with prior to the death of their companion.  Anything to do with the scent on it from the companion that died should be put aside and new things brought into the home to bring in new scents and memories.

And may I offer this suggestion if you lost your only pet.  The love that you had for them, doesn't go away...but the love can also be used to give to another.  The thing you notice...is the loneliness.  The dog not at your feet, no barking, no toys to pick up, no one to greet you when you come home..... it all makes the silence deafening!  Consider getting another pet that needs a good, loving home.

DOES LOVE MEAN LOVE ON THE "OTHER SIDE"????

Well, as I sat down to write this weeks post I wanted to write about Love.  You know....that's because it's February and just about everything this month is about LOVE.  So I wanted to pick a story about two people madly in love and were they still in love on the "other side"....... hhhuuummm Well, in the process......I realized....Wait.......There is so much more to LOVE....not just two people but many things.

Love can be:
  • Two people in love
  • Love between a pet and his owner
  • Love for a location...your favorite fishing spot, hotel, theater, restaurant
  • Love for an object....a child's favorite doll, your favorite pair of shoes
  • Love for a best friend
And the list goes on and on.  Does love go with us when we die?  I think it does.  More on that in a minute.  So, I want to tell you about an experience I had today with strangers where I saw nothing but LOVE!!!

I needed break at lunch today....one of those days that you don't want fast food for lunch, you've had enough Wendy's, McDonald and Chick-fil-a.  Ok.....let's be REAL.....you can NEVER have to much Chick-fil-a!!!!!!   Ok......back to my story.  Anyway, I just wanted to go somewhere and sit down, relax, have a big glass of sweet tea and just have a little down time alone.  Have you had that kind of a day????  Well I decided on Cracker Barrel (they have GREAT SWEET TEA).  As I walked in the hostess sat me down facing two ladies.  Well, you know how awkward that is....your trying not to look at them and they are trying not to look at you. :)  I ordered and my food and it can out literally in 5 minutes!!!!  I didn't even have time to check FB or anything!!!!!!!!!  As I began to eat I couldn't help but keep glancing up at the two ladies that sat in the table in front me.  One lady was in a wheel chair and guessing in her late 70's maybe early 80's and the other which I am guessing was her daughter in her mid 40's or 50's.

Well, this wasn't the BEST week for me, I dropped my IPhone and lost all my contacts and passwords that I kept in My Notes on my phone.  Called Apple and they basically "so sad...to bad".  LOL  There's nothing you can do!  It's just gone....:(   So, if your reading this and you are one of the people texting me about strange things happening or just in general PLEASE TEXT ME AGAIN and give me your name so I can resave your number. Or anyone else for that matter.  People are always texting me and now I can't get back in touch with them.  Sorry off subject again.....

As I sat there, these ladies were having so much fun, laughing and giggling.  Both had smiles on their faces the size of TEXAS!!!!!!!😀 They were taking "selfies" and I wanted to get up and ask them if I could take a picture for them, but before I could the waitress came over and said "would you like me to take your picture together"?  And the daughter said "WE WOULD LOVE YOU FOR TO TAKE A PICTURE OF US"!!!  So the waitress gave them back the phone with the picture on it and for the next five minutes they laughed and talked about the picture of themselves.  Now, I just COULDN'T HELP IT....... I just smiled and kept my head down but all I could think about was how much fun these two ladies were having!!!!  They weren't thinking about all the BAD things going on in the world today.  It really did make me feel WARM inside and I could NOT have enjoyed my lunch any more than sitting across from these two ladies!!!!

The older lady in the wheel chair asked for a to-go box and the other lady(I assume the daughter) got up to go pay leaving the older lady alone packing up the left overs.  I called the waitress over and whispered "could you please pack up two pieces of delicious chocolate cake for those two ladies and make sure it gets in their to-go bag and put it on my bill.  Don't tell them who it's from...just tell them....."FUN is always FUNNER(I know that's not really a word but it worked) with Chocolate."  I was just thinking when they get home and later are eating their left-overs how nice it will be for them to have a GREAT BIG SLICE of chocolate cake for dessert as they laugh and cut-up.

The waitress did just what I asked her and the ladies where very surprised and thankful.  I just kept my head down.....grinning, :)  You know I thought what I was watching was two ladies having a really fun and nice lunch together BUT NOW I KNOW what I saw was.......LOVE!!!!!!!  Love between a mother and daughter.  And I was suppose to write about it today.  Thank you ladies, for making my day.

Now, what does that have to do with tonight's topic.....well, I absolutely DO believe that what human love you feel here on earth goes with us to the "other side".  Ok.....I know you want a "little" paranormal stuff added in all this LOVE BUSINESS......So, here ya go.....a tragic LOVE story between two people and have been seen many times TOGETHER in a home in Jamaica.  June and Johnny Cash where married in 1986 after meeting 12 years earlier. June and Johnny had a tremendous love for one another but that didn't mean their life together was going to be a bed of roses.....it was anything BUT!!!!!   Despite Johnny's spiraling, drug fueled, sometimes out of control behavior, they remained married until June's death-due to complications from a heart procedure in May 2003.  The Man in Black followed his beloved June less than four moths later, with many saying he died of a broken heart. They are now seen holding hands in a home that they owned together in Jamaica. Do I think when June died she lost the love she had for Johnny?  Of course not!!!  Even though there are no human emotions in Heaven only pure love, I believe that our loved ones that was once here on earth STILL love us in Heaven.  What do you think???  This is a subject I could talk about all night but I won't... :)

Ok...very quick...if you listened to Bridging the Paranormal last night on KCORRADIO.com with the world renowned author and speaker on ghosts, and all things haunted....I said I would post pictures from an experience I had at one of his conferences.  Just scroll down about three topics and you will see a RE-POST on McPike Mansion.  Let me know what you think about the pictures. :)

WE ARE ON A FIRST NAME BASES! WHEN YOU MAKE A SPECIAL CONNECTION WITH THE SPIRITS

Your in a dark corner of an abandon house, your team is all set up in different locations.  It is a stormy night so this just creates an extra "unnerving" feeling.  Everyone has all their equipment set up and in place....."LIGHTS OUT" someone yells.  Boom!!!! A clap of thunder rumbles and the walls seem to shake and all that you can now see are the holes in the roof and in the cracks in the walls as lightening lights up the sky outside.  Game on.....

I can't tell you how many nights I have been in this exact situation.  After many years of investigating I seem to have developed.......what I like to call a "special connection" with our friends and loved ones from the other side...... and even those we don't consider friends just lost souls that we connect with in one way or another.

I can't tell you how many times within the first few minutes of an EVP session when we turn on the Spirit Box  or the Ovilus that all of the sudden I hear my name come through....BECKY..... Now, I wish that I could set here and tell you the first couple times this happened I was BRAVE and it didn't scary me at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well.........I can remember it like it was yesterday.........(picture me sitting... looking up with my finger on the tip of my chin.....and one of those big white bubble things over my head. hhhuuummm It will help set the mood. LOL).........Now flashback......my back was turned against the Spirit Box and I was fidgeting with one of my cameras........as I was doing so...I was asking questions out loud and I asked "was there someone here you would like to talk to?"  Through the static of the Spirit Box but very PLAINLY and very LOUDLY I heard "BECKY"!!!!!!!!!!!!  I stopped IMMEDIATELY.....my mouth dropped wide open....and my eyes were as wide as saucers.....I turned around and said "DID THAT JUST SAY MY NAME???????" as I was pointing toward the Spirit Box.  My head was saying RUNNNNNN BECKY RUNNNNNN .....but my heart even though beating out of my chest, said stay.  I couldn't move.  And yep...you guessed it.......it repeated my name again........BECKY..... This time there was NO mistaking WHO they were wanting to talk to!  It didn't say "Yecky" it didn't say "tacky" it said "BECKY".  Oh crap....that's me!!!  They know my name!!! And that's the way it all began......MY "special connection" with communicating with the spirits when they call you out by your name.

Now, after several times of hearing your name you start to really get used to it.....it's more like "give me minute, I'm busy" instead of RUN FEET RUN!  LOL

By know means, am I saying that I am the ONLY one this happens to, of course I'm not, nor do I claim to be a medium...no nothing like that...just your normal ghost hunting girl.  I think that after a while, spirits learn or seem to...... in someway understand that you are there to communicate with them and in many cases to help.  They get used to your voice and realize that the lines of communication are now open for a little while at least.

So, if you are just starting out as an investigator, don't be surprised if over time, you start to hear your name over and over again.  And not by the same spirit, but different ones at all different locations. Here is my theory.  Whether it is right or wrong, this is my opinion.  It's kinda like......the ice cream truck.  EVERYONE hears that cutesy music from around the corner and everyone comes running.  You don't SEE the truck but you HEAR that cutesy music and you know automatically what that means.  The same way with someone that tries to communicate with the spirits a lot.  Even though you may not see them and they may not see you....The Spirits start to realize that your voice means a direct line of communication.......that your someone who will hear them...........see them........help them.

So, next time you hear your name being called out.....Be BRAVE my friend.....just like me! LOL

MAN'S BEST FRIEND. NO GIRL'S BEST FRIEND! OUR BELOVED PETS....THEY STILL REMAIN LOYAL EVEN IN DEATH

My Holly!!

It is with a VERY HEAVY HEART that I write this weeks post.  I loss my sweet little Holly due to an unfortunate  accident two days ago on August 9th so now she is playing in Heaven.  As humans, we grow incredibly attached to our animal friends when they are alive.  When they die, we are often so consumed in grief that we feel like we might never recover.  Still we do, and life goes on.  And ya'll know me....I will try and communicate with my little Holly in everyway I can!!!  I know she is still with me in my heart.  So today's post is a re-post on losing our pets and I want to dedicate it  to my Holly.....may you always sleep with the covers over your head and have "treats" galore!!!  I love you Sis. Rest in Peace.

We have this GREAT power called "Love".  Love gives us the ability to open our hearts and love unconditionally and TO BE loved unconditionally.  The great thing about love is, we can love many different things.  We LOVE ice cream, we LOVE sports, and maybe one of our GREATEST loves, beside the love we have for family and friends.... is our pets!!!  We cherish them and consider them a member of the family in every aspect of the word "family".

Sometimes, though, there is an occasional visit from our departed friends.  The nudge of a cold noise, the click-click of their nails on a hardwood floor, the jingle of their tags in the night, the squeak of their favorite toy.  The deep bond between animals and humans, make no mistake is REAL and TRUE.  I am just waiting on Holly to curl up next to me in the bed and make her cute little "snoring sounds" she would make.

Now, according to your belief, animals may or may not have a soul.  For me, I believe anything that can feel love, pain and sadness must have a soul.  Just like us, pets have a soul and when the physical body wears out our souls go to heaven. Now, I know you are asking yourself, how can SHE (meaning me.lol) believe you go to heaven and still believe in ghosts?  Well, I do!  I just think sometimes it takes some of us a little longer to get there. :)  And who says God doesn't allow Angels to visit.  He does.

Again, just like a spirit, our pets may not want to leave their loved ones, and we all know how loyal pets can be.  I believe pets have a GREAT six sense....so when you are sad they know it, when you are happy they know it and when you need a hug and a kiss....no problem......up in the lap they go with a big lick on the face!!!

Our pets are still loyal even in the afterlife.  If everyday you feed your pet at 8:00am and 5:00pm then that is what your pet knows.  So, when they die they may continue to come back at 8:00 and 5:00 for breakfast and dinner.  And when they know you are grieving or sad they do what they do best....try and make you feel better by grabbing a toy, jumping in your lap or on the couch to snuggle.  Let's just say "they have unfinished business" the phrase that is soooo often used when describing a departed soul.

I could talk for hours on the subject of pets, but let me offer you these words of encouragement.....if you have lost a beloved pet, and you feel that you hear them or feel them or even see them....know that the LOVE and Loyalty that they had for you always remains with them.  Take ANY signs to heart and know they are still with you making you smile and feel LOVED.  Holly made me feel loved everyday and I will continue to love HER back everyday.

This may be a little off the subject but I want to say it anyway...I lost a beloved pet named Shasta years ago.  At the time, I cried until my eyes ached and there wasn't another tear left in me.  I grieved like I didn't know was possible.  An with the pain that deep, all I could think about was "I will never love another dog LIKE I loved Shasta."  And I couldn't even imagine replacing her.  As any animal lover knows, you can't replace a beloved lost pet.  But let me tell you what you CAN do.....you can ease the pain, by taking the love you had for your beloved pet and share it with another little soul that needs love and wants to give love.  I know it is one of the HARDEST things to cope with, but when you DON'T replace your pet with another....what you notice is the SILENCE and LONELINESS.  You sit in the house and notice that their NOT in your lap, you notice that your house is NOT full of dog toys all over the floor, and you notice no one is there to great you when you open your eyes in the mornings or when you get home from work.  That feeds the pain you feel.  That's when I welcomed this sweet, little, black dog named Holly into my world.

I know this is just MY OPINION and MY OPINION ALONE....but I feel, from experience that the sooner your replace the LONELINESS with a distraction of another little furry friend jumping in your lap, playing with toys, making a mess and chewing up your favorite shoes and most of all is being LOVED and giving LOVE the sooner your heart will start to heal.  PLEASE don't mistake what I am saying....I am NOT saying you will ever love another pet the way you did when you lost your previous one but I AM saying....you CAN LOVE another in another unique and special way.
Presley, my daughter and Holly.
Sorry, obviously I got a little "preachy" on the subject but it is because I am very passionate about animals and our bond with them.

I am fortunate, I have two other dogs that I love dearly, so through our house will never be the same without Holly, we will go on and enjoy the time we have with Tanner and Presley(my other two dogs) and still think about Holly everyday.

My sleeping buddy.

The video below is Holly trying to get me to cover her up! LOL

MISS MOLLYS IS HAUNTED!!!-FORT WORTH, TEXAS-SEE WHY

I am doing a re-post on the very haunted Miss Molly's in Forth Worth, Texas.  Some of my followers on Facebook are going and wanted to know about my experience at this awesome little place....so here ya go.....

Miss Molly's Fort Worth, Tx
December 13, 2013(Friday the 13th)

So, after living so close to this haunted Bed and Breakfast, I finally got to go investigate it! I have wanted to do this forever! Miss Molly's has been featured on many paranormal shows and has reported lots of activity there.  And I can say, I wasn't disappointed!!!

The place itself is awesome and no doubt you step back into time here.... it is very dark and dim inside with only one set of narrow stairs to get in and out of the hotel.  You must have a key to even get in the hotel at all.  There are only 8 rooms to rent(really 9 but Tina lives in #9).  The beds are the original rod iron beds from the 1800's (ok.....ok......don't freak out.....just the bed frames... not the mattresses LOL).  It has one "common sitting room" with one TV and one kitchen, and three separate bathrooms(not updated I might add. LOL) that all guest must share.  I'm not going to lie....this was a first for me....and I wasn't to sure I liked it at all, but  hey....you definitely got to know the other people staying at the hotel. The rooms are furnished with either a full size or two double beds and one very small closet.  So, if you bring a lot of equipment...you are going to be cramped for room.

And just so you know, the beds are very small.  The cowboys must not have been very tall back then.  Just ask Deak, his feet hung over the bed about the middle of his calves.  Very funny to see.  One more thing I want to point out....even though this place is GREAT and the "FEELING" of the place definitely gives you the impression you are going to get a lot of activity......the noise on the weekends is awful!!!  The walls are paper thin as I guess installation wasn't a priority back in the 1800's so all the bars and outside noise can be very distracting and really makes it very difficult when reviewing your evidence for EVP's.( Not "dogging" the place...just being honest)  But Tina,  the innkeeper and has lived there in the hotel for over a year and she was GREAT!!!!  She sat down with us and gave us the background of all the paranormal activity and who they believe are still here.  This is an old brothel where "lady's of the night" would entertain cowboys and other visitor's to Fort Worth.  Most of the customers were cowboys that brought in the longhorn cattle to be sold but of course there were the railroad guys and gunslingers to.

This time, I didn't take the whole team just Deak (boyfriend) and I went to check it out.  Right off the bat...Deak was talking with the innkeeper, Tina as I was walking around in the back taking pics and they heard something walk across the roof of the building, but Tina said there is nothing on top and no way anyone would be walking around up there. Now, keep in mind, this was just after a major ICE STORM here in Texas, so maybe it was ice shifting.  But when I suggested this as an explanation, Deak and Tina both said "no" they would know what that sounded like and this was "footsteps".

First, there are all kinds of reports of paranormal activity here from, lights going on and off by themselves, strange sounds, footsteps, a little girl's voice, believed to be named Emma which was the daughter of an unmarried "working girl".   Also, the Madame, Miss Josey seems to be very interested WHO visits her establishment.  And..... TOUCHING..... lots of TOUCHING have been reported especially by men.

Ok....back to my experiences.  You know me.....I get off track sometimes......just sometimes....LOL  One of MY experiences that I had personally was about 2:00am in the morning and I was sitting in the dark by myself with nothing but the glow of a small Christmas tree light beside the couch, the TV wasn't on and everyone was already in bed.  I had the K-2 meter going and also my M2 app on my phone when all the sudden I could hear VERY LOUDLY AND PLAINLY boots coming up the stairs.  I thought, well a guest must be coming back from the rodeo(as that was why all the other guest were there) so I just sat up straighter on the couch(you know....when know one is looking you kick your feet up and slouch)well............I just kept waiting..............and waiting...............and waiting........... to see someone come up the stairs because I knew the ONLY way you could get in the hotel was with a key......but know one ever came up.  But STEP......... BY.......... STEP I could hear them coming.....  so, I began thinking to myself "really.....how long does it take to walk up those stairs???"   So, I started taking pictures(1-4) and walked over to the top of the stairs and looked down and there wasn't anyone there!!!!!!  But here is the creepy part......the footsteps I heard just kept coming......STEP.........by STEP..............by STEP!!!!  I was in such disbelief....I was hearing the steps of heavy boots walking right up toward me but yet there was know one there!!!!!!!!!! I wished I could say my heart wasn't about to jump right out of my skin but it was, I thought SOMETHING or SOMEONE was going to walk right through me!!! After a few minutes they stopped.  JUST STOPPED!!!  After a huge sigh of relief(don't tell anyone about that part  hahaha  WE ghost hunters aren't suppose to get scared you know)....I went back and sat down trying to make since of what just happened!!!  And just for fun....I took one more picture.

As you can see......the first picture is from when I first started hearing the footsteps, the second and third is when I was looking down the stairs trying to figure out what was happening....and the fourth............see for yourself..................WAS I CRAZY or did an old cowboy come up for company??????

Heard very loud footsteps coming up stairs
#1(Got up off the couch to go see WHO
was coming up the stairs.
Couldn't BELIEVE I could HEAR the
footsteps so clearly, but no SEE anyone!!!#2
Walked over to where I heard footsteps...
Started snapping pictures because no one
was coming up the stairs but the footsteps
kept coming!!!#3
Or.......Was there SOMEONE coming
up after all???  These photos(1-4 were
taken back to back)#4

Orb over the "Madam's "room.  Miss Josey.
Room #3-Emma and her mother very
active here along with Miss Josey.
Another experience was in our room, room #8.  After we were done investigating, I was laying in the bed, just reflecting on the evening when a VERY BRIGHT....VERY BIG orb came down right in front of the closet and made a big swoop down to the floor and then disappeared.  It was one of the BEST orbs in motion I have ever seen!
Room #8.  This is NOT the orb I saw.  The one I actually saw was much bigger and Brighter.
But I think it helps validate my experience.

While we were investigating in Room #3, we communicated a lot with EMMA the little girl who lived there and died when she was around 7 in Room #3 where her mother "worked".  Miss Josey was also very welling to communicate with us.  I will be posting soon our video of that communication and have hopefully some EVP's from that night.  Miss Josey said that she had been in love with a cowboy that brought in longhorn cattle to sell but was shot in a gunfight and died.  I got the feeling she was a friendly spirit even though I heard she would lock up the "working girls" in a small, small closet in her room for being bad.

Now, EMMA is just a delight!!!  We brought her a toy horse to play with and she loved it!!!  Every time we would ask her to go play with the horsey....the K-2 would go crazy!
Emma loved this horse.
Lots of activity in and around Room #3
of a small girl spirit named Emma.
Is that Emma over Room 2??
Lots of activity.
Just another picture of an orb over
by Room #3.
And last but not least......Tina told us that spirits like to show themselves in the mirror in Room #3-Miss Amelia's room(Emma's mother).  We DEFINITELY had the most activity in this room.  Below are a couple of pictures I took of the mirror.  Granted....there is a lot of FLASH reflection so....I'll just let you decide.   Could the first picture be the silhouette of Miss Amelia?  The figure of a woman in a long dress with her arm bent upward?  An the second pic.....is this the face of a young girl growing up in a place young girls SHOULDN'T be???  The third and fourth pictures are the original photos BEFORE I enlarged them for you.

I blew this up and THIS is what I saw???
What do YOU see???

Is the figure of a female spirit in
an 1800 period dress with umbrella??
NOW do we SEE the face to go with
the above figure in the mirror???
Original Photo. The pic on top is of the
original photo of the "body" unedited
and the second one is of the unedited pic
of the face.  You tell me........just a REFLECTION???

I can't wait to go back to Miss Molly's and bring the whole team where we can set up everywhere and hopefully do it on a week night this time to avoid some of the outside noise.  Still LOVED THIS PLACE!!

Here is a video we made of a flashlight session.  I know it is a little weird and the questions Deak ask seem a little "edgy" but we didn't know what to ask "ladies of the night". It is a little embarrassing.  I told him to ask questions like he was a "customer". LOL so sorry.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU HUNT GHOSTS????

A little chocolate milk always makes things better...

LOL.  I hear it all the time..."Why in the world would you want to hunt ghosts"?  And you know my answer is always the same...."because I LOVE IT!!!".  I know that is hard for some people to understand, and yes I do realize it is NOT your NORMAL kind of hobby but FOR ME....it is my life passion!

I had a conversation with a lady this week and she just couldn't understand how I could LOVE something that is scary and sometimes dangerous.  Well, don't we ALL love something or maybe someone that is sometimes scary and dangerous?  Communicating with the dead is not at all scary to me.....the way I look at it is.....every time we go out to investigate.... of course there is going to be some element of danger involved,  but to me no more than...lets say playing sports...football, hockey...or even something more calm like hiking....or running....there is ALWAYS a chance that something could go wrong and someone get hurt.  Right?  But we still play football, hockey, go running or hiking... it doesn't stop us because we LOVE it!

Every paranormal investigator has his or her own reason that they sit in the dark all alone, or go into a haunted cemetery at night and spend hours...but I also have another reason that I do what I do.
And any of you that know me or have been following me for these past years know why. :)  That's right...because of my grandfather.

The reason I want to write about this today is because I recently met someone that I felt was lost.  And we have all been there at one time or another after a loved one has died we sometimes just don't know what to do.  How to get over the pain...how to move on.  Is it hard to lose someone you love....YOU BET....is it easy to move on....NEVER.  This is where I think we sometimes make the mistake of thinking....if we LET THEM GO or move on.....then we have lost them FOREVER.  That is just NOT the case.  When I lost my grandfather I was devastated and just wasn't sure how I was going to make it in this big, bad world without him. And to be honest, after weeks of sheer pain....and grief...I decided I WOULDN'T go on in this big, bad world without him.....there had to be a way to keep him here with me!!!!

So, I started reading everything I could get my hands on about the AFTERLIFE and the PARANORMAL....different ways to communicate with a loved one that had pasted.  Long story...short.....that's how I got to where I am today.  Over 30 years later of researching the paranormal....it has become just as much a part of me as breathing.  If I had not gotten into the paranormal field, I'm not sure where or what I would be doing today.  FOR ME, researching the paranormal and trying to find out ways to stay in touch with my grandfather(Nan...that's what I called him) without me even knowing it..... kept me from falling into a deep depression and many times in my life has caused me to FOCUS on something other than whatever bad things might be going on in my life....because I HAVE found ways to communicate with my grandfather and understand more today than ever....he has never left me!!!  This is MY way of staying in touch with him and I feel like we are doing this together. :)

See the truth is... as much as we would like to.....and as much as we would like to HOLD ON to our loved ones.....we have to let them go........BUT we don't have to say GOOD-BYE!  Our loved ones are watching over us always.....and they only want us to be happy NOT sad.  So....if you can change the way you think..........to lets say.......they are NOT really gone......and I WILL see them again someday......but until then........you kinda' have to have a LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP. LOL.  I know that's probably not the best way to say it....but sorry....it's the best way I know how.  Just like in a long distance relationship you may not always get to see them.....but you can talk to them anytime you like and believe it or not, sometimes...just talking with them is enough.

So, I guess what I want you to know....is DON'T fall into that depression......don't let the death of someone you love consume your life HERE in the real world.......that doesn't help you, your family or friends.........CHANGE DIRECTIONS.........you still can talk with your loved ones.....just long distance. :)

WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE??? WHY DO THEY STAY???

'Behind every man now alive stands 30 ghosts, for that is the ratio by which the dead outnumber the living.'  ARTHUR C. CLARKE, 2001: A Space Odyssey

The dead are all around us.  We are surrounded by ghosts, but most of us are unaware of their presence because we are preoccupied with our daily routine and our physical needs...... feed the kids breakfast, take them to school, make sure your spouse has money for the toll, pick up groceries, mow the yard, cook dinner, work out(lol)...well I think you get the point when I say "preoccupied".

So, just yesterday, I was asked "why do they stay around?"  Does it mean they HAVEN'T gone to heaven or can't until they complete some task?  hhhuuummm Let's think about that....

Invisible visitors might not be ghosts at all, but guides or guardian angels, but I don't think the name we give disembodied spirits is of importance.  The important thing is....THEYARE HERE!  Sensing their presence is sufficient to signify that there is another reality beyond our physical world, a belief that appears to be confirmed by the countless number of near-death experiences reported by people of diverse beliefs and backgrounds and from all around the world from ancient times to the current day.

So, now what? We KNOW they ARE here...we can sense them all around us.....their smell.....their touch.....we here their voices......we see their faces......we hear them and see things they have moved around to make their presence known.  Right? Right.

Ok....we have all heard that ghosts are here because they have "unfinished business", they don't know that they have died....or something more tragic....and they CAN NOT move on.  I believe, and again this is MY OPINION, that ALL the statements above are TRUE.  I do believe that some spirits stay behind because they died so quickly that they are a bit confused and don't really know what has happened to them...so that is where we come in....and encourage them to "go to the light" or "go ahead and cross over from this world".

Now, lets talk about "unfinished business".  Just because a spirit has "unfinished business" here in this world....DOESN'T mean that they have NOT gone on to heaven.  Sometimes, when someone leaves this world they have "unfinished business" that they need to fulfill to either help themselves or someone else.  Example:  Loving husband dies suddenly and his devastated wife is left to manage the household without him.  This is sooooo overwhelming to her and all she thinks about is their plans to retire, buy an RV and travel....now those plans can never happen.  She falls deep into depression.  God is a loving God and allows the husband to come back and help her with their "unfinished business".  Doesn't mean that he will not be allowed back in heaven...it just means God has allowed him to help his beloved wife.  So, out of the blue....the wife starts getting mail advertising RV's for sale and she suddenly feels her husband saying..."get up and go! You can do this!"  Then one day she receives a letter from a life insurance company explaining that she has just received her husbands benefit money that he had bought years and years ago that she knew nothing about.  And along with the letter is a picture of an RV.     What do you think???......... Did he FINISH his UNFINISHED BUSINESS????  :)

Now, yes they can come down from heaven and visit us....help us and be there when we need them...... BUT sometimes.......I do believe that ISN'T always the case.  Sometimes malevolent spirits that were not NICE(so to speak) here on earth don't get to change....and suddenly become nice and just float away into heaven.....so these spirits are very unpleasant and resent sharing their possessions or personal space with the living.  Because of the life they lived here on earth.......well.....lets jut say they have a really hard time getting to where they need to be....either heaven or....???  And to some spirits....being "trapped" is Hell.

But until I die and can come back and give you guys more answers to your questions(lol)....we ALL have to reach our own conclusions.  And you know........maybe that is the way it is meant to be..... this way.....some of us are in search of evidence of the paranormal and some of us will NEVER believe in it............ different things for different people.......just saying.  :)

PHANTOM PHONE CALLS

Western Electric Model 202

What would you do...... One day your phone rings and when you answer it.....there.....on the other end.....you HEAR the voice...... of your loved one that had just pasted away???

Often, the stories of receiving "ghost call" from a loved, is of a last minute message, such as "I love you" or "Goodbye."  The loved one receiving the true long-distance call is often shocked, recognizing the voice on the other end of the phone as being a deceased family member.

I can tell you from a PERSONAL experience I have seen this happen.  Not to me, but to a friend of mine.  I have a friend that lost a daughter is a violent car accident.  A couple days after the accident, we were standing in my front yard with his wife and myself.  All of the sudden, HER(Wife) cell phone rang.  She didn't recognize the number that appeared on her phones caller ID but went ahead and answered it.  She said "hello" and almost instantly her face went blank......... and her hand started to shake!!!!  We asked "What?  What's wrong?" and she suddenly burst out in tears!!!!  My friend grabbed his wife's phone and said "HELLO!" and there was no one there!!!!  He looked at his wife and asked..... "WHO WAS IT???"  As she began to slump to the ground she said "Terrie" (their daughter that was killed in the accident)  He looked at her with confusion and so did I !!!!!! Did she mean Terrie THEIR DAUGHTER????  She said that the voice on the other end said "Mom, I Love you".  Without a doubt, she pleaded, "it WAS Terrie!!!!!!!! I heard her as plain as day!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Terrie was an only child so it couldn't have been any of her other children calling to say "I love you".  She grabbed the phone from her husband and held it tightly to her chest......sobbing saying "my baby....my baby wanted me to know she loves me".   I was there!  I saw the phone ring with the strange number......I believe that she heard her daughter........Maybe SHE knew her Mom needed one LAST CALL.

Strange enough, when such ghost calls from the dead occur, caller ID screens have been said to display weird phone numbers, such as 000-000-0000. There have even been reports of people receiving the ghost calls as messages on their answering machine or voice mail!

I wanted to share another story about Phantom Calls.   Below is a letter a lady wrote to another ghost group.  And then there is a recording that she received on her answering machine from....who she believes to be her departed Mother.....what do you think?

"We came home one weekend and this was on our answering machine....not sure what it is. If it's not an EVP I'm not going to worry about it. My mom passed away five years ago, and of course, I'd like to think it's her. I can almost make out it saying my name.....probably wishful thinking. I almost deleted it, but thought I'd check caller ID first. There were no calls from anyone we didn't know, and the one or two that did call left messages. It was unusual to me, because of the way the voice sounded. I've never received anything like that before. Plus, I got chill bumps when I first heard it, because it sounded so much like my name. That's got to mean something." - Lanna

Recorded ghost message saying "hey Lanna"

If YOU have ever experienced such calls, PLEASE write me and tell me your story.  I would love to hear them.
