About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

TOP TEN SCARY MOVIES FOR A HAUNTINGLY FRIGHTFUL MOTHERS DAY

See the source image
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE!!!   I hope everyone that has children or is a Mom to our four legged friends or has to be both Mom and Dad and to those that are not related at all but step up and give love and guidance in the absence of a biological birth Mother enjoy this very special day just for you.

I want to give a quick shout out to MY MOM for allowing me to be me!  And trust me....I don't think that was always easy! lol  But she has always supported my passion for the paranormal and although she may not want to go with me to sit in dark, old houses (although I never understood that)...she has ALWAYS loved me and made me feel like she is very proud of me know matter what I did.....yep....even GHOST HUNTING!!!!!  I love you MOM.  And even though my grandmother has passed she is YELLING IN MY EAR......"WHAT ABOUT ME?????  NOT GOING TO MENTION ME?????" lol  I love you to Nanny and miss you everyday. :)  There are you happy now....

Ok...so not all Moms like flowers and to be taken out to dinner....SOME MOMS....like.....well......lets just say the "unusual". LOL  So guess what???  This is my suggestion for you!!!!

So is your Mom into scary shows, interested in the paranormal or just ....likes creepy stuff?????  I have picked my top 10 Scary movies for you to plan a Mother's Day your Mom won't soon forget.  READY...here ya go....

First, to get Mom "in the Mood" take her out for a drive and end up in a CREEPY cemetery.  Take pictures, EVP's and just enjoy being together....yes....even in a cemetery.

Next, get ready for the FUN STUFF.  The gift.  You can't forget the gift.  So pick out a really scary or ghost book, buy a nice candle, maybe even buy one of the small Meglite flashlights so she can try some flashlight communication sometime at a haunted location and put it in a cute little bag. You can even through in a throw (or a cute little blanket) because with the scary movies planned for the night she is going to need something to "hide her eyes" in.  lol  Plan on spending the night with your Mom because after the scary movies she isn't going to want you to go home!

Now, at some point during the day or that morning make one of those cute little graveyard desserts and have it ready for MOVIE NIGHT.  If you want to get really creative you can get bones, skeletons etc. candies at Michelle's, Hobby Lobby or a place like that and come up with your own creation.  Here are just a couple suggestions and YES even a healthy one for THOSE Moms. lol
Image result for graveyard dessert    Image result for Graveyard Salad Image result for scary desserts

Get all comfy and cozy with Mom, turn down the lights or even turn them out...have your dessert ready and a bottle of RED wine...(ok...white is fine to but RED for blood...lol).  Now, put in your movie and get your SPOOKY ON!!!

Enjoy your CREEPY MOTHER'S DAY NIGHT with your Mom and most of all...have FUN...tell your Mom how much you appreciate and love her.  That's what she really wants to the most anyway. :)

LOOKING FOR A HAUNTED VACATION SPOT? ROSE HALL IN JAMAICA HAS ONE EVIL SPIRIT IF YOUR WILLING TO VISIT.

So it's vacation time and everyone is trying to think of fun and cool places to go.  And if you live in "my world" you are looking for something HAUNTED!!!!!!!
About 3 or 4 years ago, my boyfriend, Deak and I went to Jamaica.  First, it was extremely HOT and I live in Texas so I am used to hot but here.....I almost died!!!!!!!! lol  I loved Jamaica! The people are very friendly but be prepared to be asked every hour on the hour if you would like to buy some "weed" or "pot".  This made me a little uncomfortable but I guess for some this might be a "good thing".  lol

I wanted to share our investigation at Rose Hall in Jamaica with you.  Rose Hall is a very haunted mansion that is hidden in the beautiful hills of Jamaica. A VERY EVIL spirit lingers here.  I wanted to share several photo's with you guys because unfortunately, we were told they are no longer are allowing photos inside or outside of the house.  You can't even take pictures of the grounds.  I don't understand that and hope that isn't true.  But that is what the tour guide told us.

I was lucky enough that Deak was able to arrange a Private tour and we were allowed to take pictures during our investigation, but no video.  Because we were on a cruise, we were unable to investigate at night, but we were able to take our time, and hear lots of horrible tales of the "White Witch" Annie and of the paranormal activity reported.  You are sure to feel a cold chill as you walk through this amazing mansion and as you learn the captivating and chilling stories of love, murder and mystery. You’re sure to feel goose bumps as these eerie tales come to life (even in the daylight)of a very, very EVIL lady.
Rose Hall, Jamaica(Man, it's HOT in Jamaica)

Ok....long story short of Annie Palmer.  Annie Palmer married John Rose Palmer in 1820 and lived in the 1770 Mansion that was built by John Rose Palmers Great Grandfather, John Palmer.  Little did John know that his young wife possessed “black magic” powers that would eventually lead to his demise. During her reign as mistress of the plantation, Annie did away with two more husbands and countless lovers. “The White Witch of Rose Hall” has fascinated generations, and even today, there are those who claim to see Annie passing through the Great House.  The Great House at one time sat on 650 acres of land mostly sugarcane fields and houses about 250 slaves.

Annie is also referred to as the "White Witch of Rose Hall" because she had countless affairs with her slaves and practiced "black magic" she learned from the slaves.  Unfortunately for Annie Palmer she took the promised husband of a slave's daughter to bed and killed him. With his daughter grief stricken, the slave who was also verse in black magic engaged and managed to kill Annie Palmer.

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!!! Annie Palmer was a very EVIL woman and what she did to her husbands and slaves is unbelievable!!!  She got great joy out of watching others suffer. This is one woman that horror shows are made up of!

Ok...the first group of pictures are VERY exciting to me!!!  They are photos that we took ourselves and well........you decide.
Underneath the mansion where slaves where
thrown down a 16 foot hole, no windows and just
a small cutout at the top for air.
This photo was taken just before the one below.

These holes have now been filled in and are under the bathrooms.
Is this Annie still making sure her salves are suffering?  Or is it a salve
wanting someone to know they are STILL here???

The Sitting Room in Annie's room.
Many say that Annie shows herself
in her favorite mirror. (original photo )
The one below is blown up
Did we get to see Annie????

Blown up photo that we caught
in Annie's favorite mirror
in her bedroom. Is that.... Annie????

Deak caught this AWESOME orb on the ground
floor of the mansion where Annie would sit and play the piano.
The following pictures are just some I wanted to share with you guys so you could see the inside and outside of the house since you can no longer take pics of the house.

The Great House-Rose Hall
I always find a ghost everywhere I go! LOL

Annie had this special little balcony made
so that she could watch the slaves in the sugarcane
fields.  She would also have slaves brought out in
front of her so that she could watch them being tortured and killed.  As well
as letting all the other slaves watch.
Annie's room.  Said to be done in Red because
she liked to see blood.  Notice the portrait beside her bed.
It is said to have a ghost painted in the background to represent
her murdered husbands.
In Annie's room where she is said to have sex
with her many slave lovers.

Annie used to hide and lock the knifes every night
in this beautiful piece.  She was afraid the salves would
try to kill her as she slept.

Annie's grave.  Buried on the property beside
the Great House.

A letter that was submitted with the
photo to the right of the mirror with
Annie in it???

Our escort.  She was very knowledgeable
of the history of Rose Hall and paranormal
activity.
Photo we were shown that was summited by
a guest.

Annie's tomb has three crosses on it.  The slaves placed three crosses
on it to contain her evil spirit and voodoo ways.  One was left off, in error, and
now it is said that Annie can roam freely in and out.

Another photo a guest took that shows a high
intensity mist.

THE SOLDIER AND THE NUN- A GHOSTLY LOVE STORY THAT HAUNTS A PENNSYLVANIA CATHOLIC SCHOOL. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL LOVE STORY!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!!!!

To me, Valentine's Day isn't just for lovers....it's a day for LOVE.  Love of friends, family, pets, and it can be hard for some people that are alone that has lost loved ones.  Listen, you are NOT ALONE!  Your loved ones are all around you, wither you see them or not.  Here's what YOU on a day like today....do something that was your deceased loved ones FAVORITE thing to do.  Make a favorite dish, watch their favorite movie, maybe even have a quiet cup of coffee and "reflect" about all the times that person made you smile.  Guess what????  That is what your loved ones want you to do today.  Being happy sometimes is hard on Valentines if you have lost someone dear to your heart....but "smiling" in their HONOR isn't hard at all!!!!!!!

So here is a ghostly story about lost loves.  It is from the book Haunted Love by Chris Gonsalves. It's not your "typical" love story and that's why I wanted to share it with you. It has a BIG twist in this love story!!! And yes, you can actually visit this haunted place in real life.

Rose  was at the top of her sophomore class at Mercyhurst College, a Catholic girls' boarding school in Erie, Pennsylvania.  There Rose was right at home.  To her is was a little bit of heaven on earth.  Those feelings lately had her considering entering the school's convent, where she could chart a life on course to becoming a Sister of Mercy.  Sister Rose.  A nun.  The life of quiet, contemplative solitude and service was increasingly appealing to her.

One night at a local barn dance, Rose was standing alone when a boy in a hand-me-down suit walked up and asked Rose to dance.  Nervously, she accepted thinking he looked so gentle....and smart.

He said "My name is Tom".
"I'm Rose" she said as Tom put his arm around her waist to guide her to the dance floor.

Rose was a bit sad when the evening was over, as she really liked Tom and wanted to see him again.

A few days later, one of the dorm supervisors came to her room and told her she had a visitor.

"Is it Tom?" Rose asked the messenger.
"I didn't ask", the woman replied.  "It's a frightfully skinny boy with messy brown hair".
Rose's smile widened.  "It's Tom".

Rose found Tom waiting for her downstairs, flower in hand.   He'd brought them, he said, because his brothers told him that's what a boy should do if he felt a girl was particularly special.
"Is that how you feel?" Rose asked.
"Oh, yes! Yes I do!" Tom replied.

From that moment on, the two were inseparable.  Wasn't long before Tom presented Rose with a simple gold ring, a symbol of their engagement.  It was early winter 1941.  Their families began to plan a wedding for the spring of 1942, a wedding that would never take place.

In December 1941, the global war reached a thunderous crescendo in the skies of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.  Suddenly the United States was pulled into World War II and across the nation young men were drafted to fight the war on several fronts.  Tom knew he had to go and serve his nation.  His brothers were all going, as were nearly all of his friends.
"Let's marry before you leave," Rose said.
"Rose, we have no money, and beside there's no time," Tom replied.
"We don't need much," she said.  "We'll have a simple wedding, just you and me.  Please Tom".

He held her close, her face cupped gently in his hands.
"Rose, I love you.  Nothing in the world is going to keep us from being married and living the rest of our lives together.  But I want to do it right.  You deserve the best there is.  And I want our children someday to know their dad did the right thing for his country when duty called.  Let's wait, my love.  When I return we'll have a wedding like you've only dreamed of."

Rose uneasily conceded.  Tom was assigned to the army infantry.  Within weeks he was shipped out to fight the Nazis in Europe.  He wrote home regularly, telling Rose about the horrors of war and professing his ever deepening love for her.  Rose found the letters heartbreaking.  The thought of the kind, gentle boy she knew being hardened into manhood by war and violence both sickened and saddened her.  But with her abundant faith she resolved to keep the love he relied on burning strong.  She prayed for him almost constantly.

One week before the spring day they had originally set for their wedding, Rose got the news that Tom had been killed in action, along with his entire squad.  Their bodies were never recovered.

As if she had been physically kicked, Rose doubled over and fell to the floor in the kitchen of the simple farmhouse where Tom's family had already begun mourning his loss.  The life she knew, and the life she had dreamed of were over.

In the months that followed, Rose found comfort in the Queens chapel at Mercyhurst.  She spent long hours there in the shadowy, deep-blue room, lighting candles to Tom's memory and praying for guidance.  Finally, she decided that she knew what she was to do with her life.  Without a second thought, Rose stopped mourning her fiancé and joined the Sisters of Mercy.  She would never love another man, she decided.  She would become a nun after all.

After Rose's final vows she went alone into the chapel to pray.  Symbolic of her transition from Tom's fiancée to bride of Christ, she took off her engagement ring for the first time since it had been given to her years before.  She placed it on the tiny fingers of the Christ child statue and left it there.  She had no more use for it.

One afternoon in 1945, Rose was on her way back from lunch when the mother superior stopped Rose and told her she had a visitor.  This must be very important, perhaps the bishop is here, but what would he want with her.  It was very unusual for the mother superior to announce an arrival of a visitor.

Rose sat in the pew and waited.  Almost immediately she recognized the figure.  It was Tom!  In his uniform and still painfully thin.  He ran to her and tried to embrace her.  Her years of chastity in the habit forced her to keep him at arm's length.
"Rose, it's me Tom!" Tom said.
"I know.  I'm so happy to see you. But what.....why....?  They said you were dead."
"Dead. Yes, I know.  I'm so sorry, Rose.  I'm so sorry so many people were hurt, but most of all you."

Tom tried to explain the unexscplainable.  He escaped an ambush and hide behind enemy lines for more than a month.
"Why didn't they tell us then, Tom?"  Rose whispered.
The days and pain of hose day and months came rushing back at her.
"Why couldn't they just say they made a mistake and you were alive?" Rose asked as she started to cry.
"It's because of what we did in that month we were missing, if the army had ever let on that any of us had lived, a great many men might have died." Tom said.
Tom spent the rest of the afternoon telling Rose how they'd lived as fugitives behind German lines.

Rose took Tom's hand and said "you took an Oath for your county but I took an Oath of my own."  She pointed to the little statue where on the child hand hung her little gold band.

Tom started to cry.  He knew that the love he had dreamed of and longed for would never be.

A few days after Tom returned, his family and Rose's family joined forces to ty and convince the young nun to leave the convent and return to a normal life as a wife to the man who loved her so deeply.

She told them she would pray about the matter but in the end, it would be His decision.

There would be no easy answer.  The more Rose sequestered herself in the dark chapel, the more conflicted she became.  She prayed and wept before the statue of the Christ child, but all she felt in return was that she was being pulled apart by two great forces bent on destroying her.  What had she done wrong?  Why was she being tortured for following a pure heart from tragic love los to a life of godly service?

With what seemed like nothing but a life of conflict and sadness ahead of her, Rose fell into a deep depression.  A short time later she did the only thing she could think of to ease the pain.  In her tiny, sparsely appointed room directly above the Queen chapel in Mercyhurst, Sister Rose tied a blanket to a ceiling light fixture and hanged herself.

Intense right!!!!!!  Now here is were it gets even more interesting and the "haunting" part comes in.  Becky said(LOL just had to through that in)

News of her suicide rocked the Sisters of Mercy and the college at large.  It didn't take long before reports began of apparitions of the young nun all around the campus, especially around the college tower and in the Queens chapel and nearby Christ the King cathedral.  Witnesses saw her wandering students' rooms, often reflected in mirrors or passing like a misty vapor through the dormitory halls.  Sister Rose's ghost remains mostly benign until a female student crossed path with it in a violent way.

Lori was a senior in 1954.  She was in love with a boy at the nearby college of Erie.  The two had been dating for nearly four years.  Lori thought this had been long enough and her boyfriend needed to "step up".  She decided a little practical joke was in order.

She called her boyfriend and asked he met her on a Wednesday evening at the Mercyhurst campus.

She told him she "had a very urgent matter that needed to be discussed."

Lori snuck down to the dark chapel and grabbed Rose's engagement ring off the statue's tiny figure.  As soon as she had it in her hand a blast of cold wind shot through the chapel, extinguishing the candles and leaving her in pitch blackness.  She gasped and the sound echoed around the cavernous room.  Lori immediately found her way to the door and ran out!

Lori's plan was simple.  She was going to wear the ring and pretend she'd been asked by another boy to be his bride.  As she sat there looking a the little gold band she was overcome with sadness. She knew the story of Rose and Tom and thought that maybe Rose would like being a part of bringing to loves together.  She couldn't have been MORE WRONG!

One of Lori's friends spots Lori and hysterically tells Lori that the police is looking for her!
"Oh my gosh" did they think she stole the ring?  Did someone tell them she took it.  Surely she could explain why she had the ring.

Her friend say, "No Lori.  It has nothing to do with the ring!  It's your boyfriend.  He was coming here to meet you when a truck crossed in from of him and hit his car.  They said he's dead, Lori.  I'm so sorry."

Lori immediately ran back in the chapel and placed the ring back on the small finger of the statue.  She cried all through the night and her friends found her the next morning exhausted saying "the ring did it, the ring killed him."

After a half of dozen attempts to keep the ring under lock and key, in which it kept showing up back on the child statue of Christ, administrators decide that burying it might better serve all involved.  Not to mention that every time they would lock up the ring, the paranormal activity would increase.  The location of the ring's final interment has never been made public.

Sister Rose continues to haunt the Catholic school, appearing more frequently to young men and women in love.  Countless paranormal investigations have examined the college and the convent, some saying definitely haunted with evidence of photos and videos.  Because of all the interest, Mercyhurst officials now have started locking the chapel and the Old Main tower at 10PM  perhaps to keep the curious out, or perhaps to keep the lovesick in.

Vera Miles stars as Lila Crane in the horror classic 'Psycho', directed by Alfred Hitchcock, 1960. - Archive Photos/Stringer/Getty ImagesThe Movie Story: Norman Bates is a psychologically disturbed hotel owner who has delusions this his dead mother, whose body he keeps in the cellar, wants to kill hotel guests. He develops a dual personality and dresses like her when he commits his murders.
The Real Story: The character Norman Bates was inspired by Ed Gein, a Wisconsin man who was arrested in 1957 for committing two murders and digging up the corpses of countless other women who reminded him of his dead mother. He skinned the bodies to make lamp shades, socks and a "woman suit" in hopes of becoming a woman. He was found to be insane and spent the rest of his life in a mental institution.

The Exorcist (1973)

The Movie Story: A pair of priests attempt to exorcise a demon that has possessed a 12-year-old girl living in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. The Real Story: William Peter Blatty, screenwriter and author of the novel The Exorcist, was inspired by an article he read in college at Georgetown University about an exorcism performed on a 13-year-old boy in Mount Rainier, Maryland in 1949. The story's details have been muddled through the years -- perhaps intentionally so, in order to protect the family -- but the boy's actual home lay in Cottage City, Maryland, and the exorcism was performed in St. Louis. Evidence points to the boy's behavior not being nearly as outrageous or supernatural as was portrayed in the film.

Audrey Rose (1977)

The Movie Story: A couple's young daughter exhibits increasingly outrageous behavior, forcing them to consider the possibility that the soul of another young girl, Audrey Rose, has taken residence in her body. The Real Story: Frank De Felitta was inspired to write the novel -- and later the movie script -- after he heard his six-year-old son, Raymond, who'd never taken piano lessons, playing music perfectly on the family piano. De Felitta consulted a Los Angeles occultist, who called Raymond's talent as an "incarnation leak," explaining that the boy had lived many lifetimes. The incident led to the author's personal belief in reincarnation.

The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

The Movie Story: A family driving through the southwestern desert in an RV takes a short cut that leads them to run headlong into a family of violent cannibals who live in caves in the hills. The Real Story: The movie was inspired by the legend of Alexander "Sawney" Bean, a Scottsman of the 15th or 16th century who reportedly headed a 40-person clan that killed and ate over 1,000 people, living in caves for 25 years before being caught and put to death. His life has inspired numerous stories and films worldwide, including The Hills Have Eyes and the British film Raw Meat, but most serious historians today don't believe that Bean ever existed.

The Amityville Horror (1979)

The Movie Story: The Lutz family moves into a riverside house, the site of a mass murder the year before. They encounter a series of malevolent paranormal events that drive them out of the house after only 28 days. The Real Story: Perhaps the most notorious horror movie "based on a true story," the film is based on a self-proclaimed nonfiction book describing what George and Kathy Lutz experienced during their four weeks in the house, including disembodied voices, cold spots, demonic imagery, inverted crucifixes and walls "bleeding" green slime. Most, if not all, of the events portrayed in both the book and the movie have been called into question by investigators, and it is widely believed that the entire incident was a hoax.

The Entity (1981)

The Movie Story: Carla Moran, a single mother of three, is plagued by a supernatural entity that abuses and rapes her repeatedly. She receives help from paranormal researchers, who document the haunting and attempt to trap the spirit. The Real Story: In 1974, paranormal researchers Kerry Gaynor and Barry Taff investigated the case of a woman believed to be named Doris Bither. Bither lived in Culver City, California and claimed to have been physically and sexually assaulted by an entity. Gaynor and Taff witnessed objects move in her house, captured photos of floating lights and saw a humanoid apparition, but they never saw it assault the woman and never tried to capture it. Gaynor stated that the attacks diminished when Moran moved.

Gothic (1986)

The Movie Story: In 1816, poet Lord Byron gathers fellow poet Percy Shelley and his soon-to-be-wife Mary, along with Mary's half sister Claire and Byron's doctor, John Polidori, at his Swiss mansion. They tell ghost stories and experience surreal supernatural encounters that are physical manifestations of their fears. The Real Story: In the rainy summer of 1816, Percy Shelley and Mary Godwin (soon to be Shelley) visited Lord Byron at his Swiss villa. Due to the rain, they stayed indoors discussing the animation of dead matter and reading German ghost stories. Byron suggested they each write their own supernatural tale, and Godwin came up with Frankenstein, while Byron wrote what would later be adapted by Polidori into The Vampyre.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)

The Movie Story: A priest is on trial for the death of a young woman named Emily Rose, upon whom he had performed an exorcism. Through flashbacks, we see the tribulations that she suffered while possessed. The Real Story: The film was inspired by Anneliese Michel, a 16-year-old German girl who, in 1968, began displaying symptoms of demonic possession. For years, she suffered paralysis, self-abuse, starvation and demonic visions until 1975, when two priests performed exorcisms of what was believed to be several demons over 10 months. During that time, Anneliese barely ate, and she died of starvation in July 1976. Her parents and the priests were tried and found guilty of manslaughter. They were sentenced to six months in jail.

An American Haunting (2006)

The Movie Story: Nineteenth-century landowner John Bell and his family are tormented by an invisible entity, which targets his daughter Betsy in particular. The Real Story: The movie is based on the legend of the Bell Witch, a tale that originated in Tennessee in the 1800s. It is believed by many to be a work of fiction, although the characters in the story were real. According to the tale, John Bell was poisoned by the ghost, and although the film's marketing declared that it is "validated by the State of Tennessee as the only case in US history where a spirit has caused the death of a human being," there is no such validation on record. Some claim that The Blair Witch Project was also influenced by the story.

The Haunting in Connecticut (2009)

The Movie Story: The Campbell family moves to Connecticut to be near the doctor caring for their ill son, Matt. They soon realize that their new home is a former mortuary haunted by a malevolent force. The Real Story: The film's inspiration was the Parker family, who moved to Connecticut in 1986 to be close to the specialists treating their 14-year-old son, Paul, for cancer. In the basement, where Paul slept, they discovered embalming equipment that implied that the house had been a funeral home. They reported encountering unexplained phenomena, like bloody floors, disembodied voices and shadowy figures. Paul became possessed by a force that caused him to attack his family. Eventually, an exorcism was performed to cleanse the house.
