Many times, people just think about seeing ghosts at night.  They only come out when it is dark, quiet and spooky.  Right?  Wrong.  Ghosts don't hide until you go to bed at night and then say "Ok.  They turned out the lights, that's our queue to go haunt them".  lol

Nighttime does provide more contrast to see an apparition or spirit.  The IR camera uses an entirely different light wavelength that makes it easier to capture things in the dark that we just can't see in the daytime.  There is no doubt that during the daytime, outlines of apparitions, spirits or orbs are faint and harder to see, but that doesn't mean they can't be seen at all.

Think about it.  At night, when you are ghost hunting, you are very aware of your surroundings.  You notice every little sound.  You notice every shadow that crosses a light.  You are "expecting" to see and hear things.  During the daytime, you just aren't.  Your busy with the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.   Here's an example of what I mean by being aware of "your surroundings."  In a room full people, talking and moving around, you may not notice a ball on the floor.  But if the room was empty, quiet and calm, you may see the ball on the floor right away.  That's kinda what it's like between the difference of seeing an apparition in the daytime or at night.

I want to share a quick story with you to prove when you are least expecting it and in broad daylight, that's when it can happen the most. 

I work very close to a cemetery.  Which I may add, my office is VERY HAUNTED to!  Wonder why???  Ok.  Back to my story.  One day, I decided to grab some lunch and take it down to the cemetery.  It was a beautiful, bright sunny day and had just enough of a breeze to make it perfect.  The Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Tx. is a small cemetery that has some beautiful big trees that make wonderful shade.   The cemetery is very well maintained with beautiful tombstones and lots of green grass.  The perfect place to have a nice quiet lunch.

I pulled up to the very back of the cemetery, parked my car under a huge shade tree, rolled down my window and turned off the radio.  Ok.  Full discloser...I turned my phone on that had a ghost app on it, so I was just letting it run while I ate my lunch.  What can I say?  It's in my blood.  Nevertheless, I was alone and enjoying myself very much.

Even though my car was at the back of the cemetery, it was facing the street where I could see the cars going by.  

Now, this is where I would say, "all of the sudden" but every ghost story starts that way, so I want to be different and say, "Suddenly" (lol) I looked up and could see a very tall, old man walking along the side of the road.  He was extremely skinny and was looking down kicking the dirt up as he walked with his old, worn leather cowboy boots.  Here's something else.  HE WAS NOT TRANSPARENT!  I could see him in full color.  I could see dried, caked on dirt on the side of his boots.  I could see his jeans were dirty and worn and he had a dirty off-white long sleeve shirt on. The top two buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned. His face was very dark brown as if he had been in the sun a long time.  It was wrinkly, and leather looking.  He looked like he had been working in a field or something.  I noticed him in detail because there was nothing else going on as I was just sitting there eating my lunch in my car.  NOT FOR A SINGLE SECOND did I think he was anything but a living, breathing old man walking down the road.  As I watched him walk along the side of the road, I thought to myself, "He must be someone that watches out for the cemetery and is wondering what I am doing down here.  I better go tell him I am just eating my lunch here."  

Now, I want you to know that I watched this man for probably, about 30 secs before I decided I better go tell him what I was doing in the cemetery.  I put down my hamburger (yes, it was a burger, don't judge. lol) and sat my drink in the holder in the center of my car.  I started to drive up the gravel road to the main street.  As I looked up, I couldn't see him anymore.  I thought, "well, he must have just walked over the hill and I just can't see him anymore".  I didn't think anything about it and continued to drive up the road.  But when I got to the top of the hill, he was GONE!!!  Like vanished!  He wasn't anywhere to be found. Where did he go???  It didn't take me but a minute to get to the street and for sure he would have not had time to walk anywhere without me seeing him.  I literally, stopped and looked around for probably five minutes before I started to realize what I had seen, might have been an apparition!  This guy did not seem like someone "of today's times" for sure.  Had I seen an apparition in the middle of the day?  And why?

On the other side of the cemetery and street, is an open field.  Huummmm.  Maybe what I saw was an apparition of an old farmer walking back across his field.  He was walking very slow, and the ground was so dry, that the dust was kicking up around his old boots as he walked.  Maybe he had been plowing or something like that.  Whatever he was doing, I saw him!    

The moral to my story?  Is that you CAN see ghosts and spirits in the daytime.  But why?  How is that possible?  Again, at night, it is much quieter, and things are settled down.  There are also, not so many distractions.  You are more relaxed and focused and that makes it much easier for you to have an experience or to realize that something may not be a normal occurrence and could be paranormal.

The same rules apply for ghost hunting during the daytime as they do at night.  Always take more than one picture.  Taking two or three pictures back-to-back can help prove your evidence.  Protect yourself.  Whether that is praying to a higher power or something else that you believe can protect you by surrounding you with love and light, then please don't forget to do that.

THE HAUNTING HOUSE OF ROSALYNN CARTER'S HOUSE

Rosalynn Carter's “Haunted House,”Plains , Sumter County, Georgia, United States.
This creaky house on the Old Plains Highway, locally referred to as “The Haunted House” , west of Plains.Old Pains Highway was rented by the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter and their three sons from 1956 – 1961. Legendary ghost stories have inspired this location being dubbed as “The Haunted House.”

The Carters rented an old Southern house in Plains, Georgia. Although she was not a true believer of ghosts, she recalled several instances of strange goings-on in the house. In fact, her experiences with the house started long before moving in. As a child growing up in town, she would do her best to avoid the house at all cost. But on the occasions when she did pass the empty house, she would often see flashing lights emanating from the attic. Former residents of the home spoke of sleepless nights when blankets were torn from their bodies as they lay in bed. A white dog had been seen on the front porch on several occasions, yet when approached, it would vanish. Another resident reported that one night his body was lifted out of his bed and placed on the floor, only to be placed back in bed again. Legend has it that the activity began after the building had been taken over by Union soldiers. The tortured souls of the soldiers killed during the skirmish are believed to still reside within its walls. She was so distraught by the rumors of haunting, Rosalynn decided to turn the "haunted bedroom" into a sitting area when the Carters moved in. During the years they rented, Rosalynn also reported that her son inadvertently uncovered a hidden room beneath the fireplace with nothing but a lone chair in it. She believed that the Union soldiers hid in this room, and perhaps this contributed to the rumors of the haunting.
But did she have a ghostly encounter herself? Although she never saw a ghost, she does admit to hearing eerie sounds each night that echoed in an empty attic. Sounds that sent chills up her spine.

Former President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter lived with a terrifying ghost years before moving into the White House.

Their once magnificent antebellum home in Plains, Georgia was haunted by the eerie specter of a sobbing woman in a white dress and a mysterious phantom dog.

Built in 1850, the old wood frame plantation-style building was already the legendary haunt of ghosts and fearsome creatures of the night when Jimmy and his wife-to-be, Rosalynn Smith, were growing up in Plains. "When I was a little girl, my best friend was Jimmy's sister Ruth," Rosalynn recalled.

"We had to pass the haunted house to visit each other. We were about 11, and so afraid of the house that we took the long way around."

Amazingly, years later after Rosalynn had married her best friend's brother, the young couple had moved into the scary house.

From 1956 to 1960 they raised their three sons in the spook-filled home.

Almost immediately after they moved in, the mysterious forces lurking in the house reminded the new occupants that they were not alone.

Mrs. Carter said that one night they were startled by the sound of a loud crash coming from the front room.

"We waited a bit, then the whole family trooped in together, thinking a window had fallen shut. But the window was still wide open," she shuddered.

Inez Laster, who worked in the house as a cook during the early 1950s, also learned first hand of the menacing supernatural presences that haunted the scary room.

"Things would happen in that room," she whispered. "I could hear knocking on the door. Then it would open and shut and I'd hear walking. I'd see a woman with a long white dress coming from the cemetery."

"Sometimes I'd hear her walking on the attic stairs," the cook confided.

Mrs. Carter also recalled stories she heard of a tiny, silent, white dog which was said to appear on the front steps. It always suddenly vanished when someone reached down to pat it.

One of the most puzzling mysteries of the brooding old plantation house a small secret space squeezed between the attic and the haunted living room. The Carter boys discovered it one day as they were playing and noticed a loose brick in the hearth. They found that there was just room enough for about three men to hide.

CAN A SPIRIT FOLLOW YOU HOME- RE-POST

Hi everyone....so here's the question.....Can ghosts follow you home?  I could "dance around" the answer... but let me be blunt.  The answer is YES.  It is not common, but it CAN happen.  Now, with that being said lets talk about it.

There are reports of individuals having a particular ghost or spirit follow them home.  Some ghosts and spirits can attach themselves to objects, individuals, and or families.  Some people have reported taking something from a site that is said to be haunted....lets say something as simple as a stone from a building and suddenly finding that they have "bad luck" or unusual "things" just start happening.  Coincidence?  Maybe or maybe not.  Some people report purchasing an antique that has a ghost attached to it and it follows them home.  A ghost is not bound to a certain location, only drawn there because it was of significance to them when they were living.

I believe that sometimes ghosts or spirits will attach themselves to a person or family because they have been angered in some way..... but I also believe that sometimes a ghost or spirit may follow you home because they like you.  Sounds crazy? Well, think about it.  Do you want to be around people that are nice to you?  I think it is the same for spirits.  Lets say you have a location that is said to be haunted by a little girl.  Parents died tragically and she was left all alone and eventually dies herself.  You may have "people" that want to come investigate for the sheer purpose of making fun of ghosts or spirits.....then you have someone "like you and I, the GOOD ghost hunters" (LOL) that truly care about what happened to the souls.  So, what do we do....we talk as if we were talking to a child (no tauting) and we offer candy or we bring toys with us for the spirit to play with.  This little lost soul  has been lonely for so long and now someone wants to talk to her and play, she doesn't want you to leave.  So, she "attaches" herself and follows you home where she can be with you.  So, there you go....instant daughter! LOL  Also, beware of buying "used" objects as the same principle may apply.  Except, they may love the OBJECT and NOT you.

I get asked all the time, has you ever experienced someone or something following you home?  The answer is YES!!!!  Do I think it was a malevolent spirit?  No.  The things I was experienced did not make me feel threatened but more like....HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME......I'M HERE!!!  I give ghost tours down at a haunted bridge (Goatmans Bridge, Denton, Tx) and I communicate with a young 14 year old girl named Rebecca that died back in the mid 1800's.  First, we have the same name so I think she relates to that.  Second, I speak to her very respectful and tell her how happy I am to talk with her every time.

What was I experiencing?  Well, for starters, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS SOILD my tv would come on at 3am and the volume would be full blast and it would be all "staticy"!!!  And anyone that is connected to cable knows when your cable goes out there is nothing on the tv but a blue screen.  Every night I would get up and turn it off.  At first, I thought it was something going wrong with the tv or the cable.  I called and ask everyone what would cause that and everyone would tell me the same thing....It should NOT be doing that if it was going out.   Finally, I unplugged the tv thinking that would do the trick.....NOPE.....still came on by itself full blast!!!  Finally, one night when I couldn't take it anymore....I STOOD MY GROUND.....I turned it off after coming on at 3am and said out loud "OK.  I know you are here.  But this is MY house and I'm not moving.  So here is the deal.....You can stay BUT I don't want you to turn the tv on again.  And if you do, I will just get up and turn it off every time!  So we can live here together but you can not turn on the tv."  I swear....it has NEVER done it again.

Not only that...but the water in both the bathrooms would come on full blast by themselves, things would move from one place to another by themselves, alarms and other things would go off that shouldn't be going off and that had no batteries in them.  I really think it was Rebecca.  So I smudged the house and ask her to go back to the bridge and wait for me there.  And the activity stopped.

Now, this doesn't mean ghosts are just waiting to hitch-a-ride home with you, so don't start to worry yet.  But sometimes, you may "invite" them in by accident....say by using a Ouija Board.  You may be trying to contact  your departed loved one but that may NOT be who comes through.  If SOMEONE else decidesd it likes, or can manipulate you , it may just stay.....and LETS BE CLEAR...the spirit that decides it wants to stay from a Ouija Board may not be very nice at all.  So, this is nothing to play around with, so if you ARE going to use a Ouija Board be sure and take measures to protect yourself.  And just for the record, I NEVER AND WILL NEVER USE A OUIJA BOARD!!!

Lets talk about how to protect yourself from a spirit (good or bad) from attaching itself to you and following you home. Before and after you enter a location that you feel is haunted, say a prayer telling the spirits they are not allowed, or welcome to follow any of you home.  This is a command!   I take this very seriously, as we all have families, and friends that do not want a ghost to follow them home.  I believe you will start to see this more and more on all the TV Paranormal shows.  This protection prayer.

The metaphysical dangers of an investigation are real and should be taken seriously.  If it were only the physical and emotional thing to worry about, then this field of study could be done by almost anyone....but that's not the case.  Sometimes things we are looking for are there, and more often than not these things can and do follow us home at the end of the night.  This is where the dangers come in.

I believe it is my duty to tell you while ghost hunting can be very exciting, scary, and mind blowing, there are dangers.  Yes, anyone can grab a recorder, ask a question and get a response.  And yes, if you do not know how to protect yourself, anyone can have their lives turned upside down by unseen forces. I cannot express enough how important it is, if you want to become an investigator or you want to get involved in the paranormal, that you go with a team that has years of experience and is fully aware of the dangers out there and how to conduct themselves professionally and, most of all, safely.

So, is it possible for a ghost to follow you home? Yes.  But it is rare.  Do I want you to stop investigating because of the chance that someone or something will follow me home...NO.  Just take precautions and you should be fine.

Now, enough with all the serious stuff.  For myself, personally, ghost hunting is one of the most rewarding and fun things I do.  I love it with all my heart and will continue to research and look for answers in the field of paranormal. I look at it like a "sport" kinda........playing professional football lets say..... you have to watch out for the big, bad, muscle guy that is going to nail you on the field possibility breaking your bones.  Well, when you ghost hunt you have to watch out for the "dead people"......the ones that like to play tricks on you or the ones that really want to cause harm.  Oh well....I'm still "IN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE HAUNTED CONGRESS HOTEL IN CHICAGO-SEE WHAT I FOUND-REPOST

If you have not stayed at the Congress Hotel in Chicago....you should!!!  It is reportedly the most haunted hotel in the city.  I was lucky enough to get a room at this hotel to do an investigation as a Christmas Present from my boyfriend and I loved every minute of it!!!  I was also lucky enough to have one of my FAVORITE paranormal groups White Dog Paranormal to meet me there.  We had a great time!

Ok....I know, you guys don't care about all that....you just want to know if we saw any GHOSTS!!!
First here is a little bit about this wonderful place.  It was built to help house visitors of the World Fair in 1893.  It was also owned at one point by the one and only Al Capone.  Supposedly the most haunted floors are the 4th and the 12th(I stayed on the 12th).  Some of the spirits roaming this place is none other than Al himself along with a mother and two sons, whom supposedly was waiting for the arrival of her husband and when she found out he wasn't coming, she through her two boys over the 12th floor balcony and then jumped herself.  Then there's Peg Leg Johnny, a hobo that was murdered in the hotel.  And the MOST HAUNTED ROOM OF ALL #441.  YES, I did request to stay in that room but was told the whole 4th floor was closed!  Of course, we had to go check it out ourselves and found that the 4th floor was completely dark!  Did we leave......of course not!!!  We just sat down in the floor, in the dark and started conducting an EVP Session.

When you start asking questions about the spirits that haunt the hotel you will find out quickly that some of the people DON'T want to talk about it, but a couple of the bell hops were willing to share their stories.  We were lucky enough to meet Johnny the late night security guard who has worked at the Congress for about 18 years.  At first, he wasn't willing to talk, but he couldn't resist my Texas accent!!! LOL  He eventually warmed up to us and took us on a tour all around the hotel and to places we normally wouldn't have access to.  THANK YOU JOHNNY!!!!  He told us story after story of paranormal activity.  Even as recent as the week before we were there, of people leaving their rooms claiming things were moving, they were touched, etc.

After we left Johnny, we investigated on our own.  Yep...you guessed it, we went places not many people could or WOULD not go.  We had a lot of activity in a little stairwell we found behind an unmarked door.  Be sure and watch the video I am posting of that session.   You DON'T want to miss it!!!

RE-POST ON THE YORKTOWN MEMORIAL-ONE OF THE MOST HAUNTED PLACES I HAVE EVER VISITED!!!

Ok.  I am a day late but I was up all night working on the video I wanted to share with you guys.  Well, as you know this is part 3 of our Yorktown investigation with White Dog Paranormal out of Chicago.  The hospital is Yorktown Memorial in Yorktown, Texas.  MAN!!!!!!!!  What great evidence you guys are about to see!!!

I am just going to post a few pictures with this article and then I will have the video uploaded in a couple of hours.  And TRUST ME when I tell you.....YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!!!!  It has a FULL BODIED APPARITION and footage of a door opening and closing all by ITSELF!!!!!!!  This is some of the best footage I have ever seen!  This place was sooooo fun and the group of people with us were just AWESOME!!!!  I want to give a big SHOUT OUT to all those who attended this investigation......BOOOOOOO to you!!!! LOL

Now, most of the activity I want to tell you about in part 3 was on the second floor, in the nuns living quarters.  We  already had such great communication downstairs in the CREEPY "doll room" and also at the nurses station we COULDN'T wait to go to another floor! We made our way up the dark and cold stairway, which I might add was pretty creepy itself...but just like you would expect the first thing you see when you get up to the second floor is a long, dark hallway. There is no electricity in this place and very, very minimum light from the outside.  Only moonlight coming in through some of the broken windows and it was not a full moon or anything so........ can you say....DARK....because this place was!!!! The second floor is where the nuns used to stay.  The rooms still have some bed frames in them and some old furniture, some with "whatnots" on them (please tell me you know what a "whatnot is" or I feel really OLD if you don't! LOL) But again, let me remind you that so many of the items in this hospital ARE NOT original to the place.  It just looks like miscellaneous things have been put there to ENHANCE your experience.....if you know what I mean. :)

Anyway, we went into the first room on the right on the second floor that had like a wooden slats as part of the wall...you know...the kind you can see through.  Inside was an old couch, a couple of tables and chairs, dusty books, etc..  We set up in here and began an EVP session with MaKesha Bailey reading from a children's book first..... then Belynda.  I was sitting on the couch, right beside Belynda as she began to read.  I was filming with my new Tri-Cam from Paranologies, which I LOVE, but back to the story.....and Michele with White Dog Paranormal Group was doing the video recording with her camera.  We could see on the Tri-Cam and on Michele's video a couple good orbs flying around, and here again let me caution you...there is TONS of dust floating around, so be sure to debunk what is a true orb and what isn't.

Mike, the caretaker, had told us that Stacy one of the young female spirits liked to be read to upstairs in the nuns quarters so that is why we were reading the children's books out loud.

As Belynda was reading...she just suddenly STOPPED!!!  We all wondered what was wrong.  Michele ask "Belynda, what's wrong, why did you stop reading?"  Belynda laid the book down in her lap and said "I don't know...but something is VERY.......VERY.....WRONG!!!"  She said she was cold as ICE and her teeth started to chatter.  I was sitting right beside her and had  a thermo on her and the temper started dropping down very quickly... like 15 degrees in about 3 minutes but yet, I couldn't feel any difference in the room.  All of the sudden Belynda said "it's gone!" and sure enough the temperature started to go back up.

Now,  Michele WAS inside the room with us and then she decided she would go stand in the doorway looking out toward the hall.  We asked Belynda if she wanted to continue and she said "yes".  As she started reading again......Michele all of the sudden started having problems with her video camera.  Now, she had been using the same video camera all night and not once did she have any problems.  But for some reason, her auto focus COULDN'T FOCUS! It was like it was TRYING to focus on something........but what........there was nothing nor anyone in the hallway. Two things happen next.  ONE........... is she steps out into the hallway to try and adjust her camera and as she is trying to figure out what is wrong.....she catches a FULL BODIED APPARITION!!!!    The location of this apparition would have been right behind Belynda walking right though the wall with the wooden slats.  You will see in the video that IT almost seems to "step out in the hall" and then "retreats back" as if to see Michele in the hallway.  Then it steps forward and walks across the hall and almost right up to Michele before disappearing but NOT before it appears to LEAN back as if to look at Michele one more time before disappearing for good!!!  CRAZY???? I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY...but just wait till you see the video!!!!!

And that's not even the BEST PART!!!!!  As soon as the apparition disappears, all of the sudden Michele's camera begins to focus!!! Not even 5 minutes passes, when out of the blue, or should I say dark...lol a door opens at the end of the hall!!! Yep...just opens and closes a couple times all by itself!!!!  The GREAT part....Michele SEES this happen AS WELL as captures it on video!!!!!!!!!!!    It was amazing!!!!!!!!!  One thing that we notice is.....that it is illuminating the hallway with light????  How can that be possible?????  There are no lights, and no one in the hallway but yet it is bright enough to SHINE light across the floor of the hallway!!!  I CANNOT explain this!!!!!  We go into the room where the door opens and closes.....and all that is in the room is an old sewing machine.  And as for a window, there IS a window but it is far from the door and only a half window at that.  There is NO WAY a light as bright as it was, could be coming from this window or room!!!!!!!!!!!

PEOPLE...PEOPLE.....PEOPLE..... Is this place haunted???????  You betcha  bottom dollar it is!!!!!  We are already planning our trip back in the fall.  So, if you want to join us, just let me know. :)
