Horror movies based on REAL LIFE EVENTS

Sometimes life can be scary.  But when they make a horror movie out of a real-life event, you realize there really is EVIL out in the world today!!!  Here are a few REAL-LIFE EVENTS that you may or may not have known had a movie made of them.

Evil Does Exist

IS THERE A PORTAL IN THE BASEMENT OF THIS TEXAS HOSPITAL? SEE THE PHOTO THAT SUGGEST THERE IS!!!

I don't think you would find it to hard to believe, that a portal might exist in the basement of a hospital, right?  And think about all the emotions tired to a hospital....sadness, anger, joy and confusion are just some of the emotions that may tie spirits to a location.  And this Texas Hospital may have just MORE than emotions tired to it.  I believe there is actually a Portal in the basement.

Now, sorry I can't say at WHAT hospital this picture was taken  at because I had to sign a "non-discloser agreement" with the hospital.  But I can tell you it is one of the "older" hospitals in Sherman, Tx.  It is a fairly large hospital and it has strong ties to Choctaw Nation.  It does have an interesting past on how it got its name.  If you do a little digging it won't take you long to figure it out.

I did this investigation many years ago.   The night I was contacted, I was told about tons of paranormal activity which included: things moving by themselves, voices, lights going on and off in vacant rooms when no one was present.  The employees of the hospital had even said, they thought there could be "a portal" somewhere because of all the apparitions they had seen.  Some of the employees were starting to get a little "freaked out." 

So, one night around 11:00pm (at the request from hospital employees) to see what was going on.    After following procedure of signing in for security purposes, I began my investigation. For security reasons, I had to be assigned a security guard to follow me around the hospital.

Now, when your in a hospital you just can't walk around taking pictures and using EMF meters because you would scare people and the LAST THING a hospital wants is for it to get out that their hospital was HAUNTED!!!!!   I could just hear me asking the patients in the rooms "excuse me....I know your sick and all...but do you have anything strange going on in your room.....like things moving on their own or seeing dead people?" lol  Like that WOULDN'T STRESS YOU OUT!!!!!!!!So, trying to be discrete, I talked to several of the nurses and employees and they began to tell me about some of their experiences.  One of the stories that they told me was the night before I was there, they had to move two patients out of a particular room because they both complained of a "little girl" bouncing a ball in their room.  Now, this was two different patients that knew nothing of each others claims.  One man said that he had a package of "chicklets" gum sitting by his bed and the box began to shake all by itself!!!  It scared him so bad, that he requested to be moved IMMEDIATELY!!!!  But the night I was there, they had already put another patient in the room so I could not go in. Dang it!!!

After doing some research, I found out that there had been a family, a father, mother and daughter all killed in a drunk driving accent and they were brought to the hospital.  All were put on the same floor and the mother was placed in the room where these two patients had been, and both reported seeing a little girl bouncing a ball and playing.  In this room is where her mom would pass away.  Down the hall on the same floor, the father and little girl also died.  So, I think that the little girl is coming down to her mother's room and playing.

Instead, the security guard and I started beneath the hospital, in the basement.  You could go down to the basement of the hospital and actually go underneath where the floor was nothing but dirt and you could see the beams of medal and wood the hospital was built on.  The hospital was built back in the early 1800's and had even been reported to have been built on an "old Indian burial".  First, let me say, going underneath this giant hospital that looked so nice from the outside but below was nothing but dirt floor and wood, it really did feel like walking over sacred ground.

While down in the basement, there were some employees sitting around a table on break.  I was asking them about some of the claims. They told me they believed the hospital was DIFFIDENTLY haunted! Not only did they believe beyond a shadow of doubt (no pun intended) this hospital was haunted, they believed there was a portal down underneath the hospital.  They all would just have these creepy feelings and see shadows. I can tell you, I have interviewed many people but these four TRULY believed they had seen ghosts.   One of the employees offered to show me around and share with me some of his experiences.  I think there were four employees that night on break and all four brought up having a portal under the hospital.

Now, here is where it gets good.  I wanted to take a picture of my "guide" so this was the first picture I took.  I was really just taking HIS picture before we began our tour. By now, it's like 2:00am in the morning. Nothing interesting to take a picture of, just him standing in front of a solid concert wall.  I blacked out his face and badge to protect him.  He was standing in front of the concert wall right in front of the door that went into the underground part of the hospital.  There was not a SINGLE thing on the wall......it was just a wall.

When I got finished and went back to review the evidence....I COULD NOT BELIEVE what I saw in the very first picture!!!!  It looks like an "open ended tunnel"!  You can see that it looks that you could just walk right through it and be outside.  You can see how it appears to have the sun shining down on the other end.  It also looks like "greenery" to the left of some stairs.  Do you see that?  Another thing, the little carts over to the left, I know this is hard to believe, but they weren't there!  I took the picture, there was nothing there but a man standing in front of a wall.  I drew a line above where I believe the wall was and I do remember seeing that big pipe going across, but that was it!  Everything else in this picture WAS NOT THERE!!!

I sent this picture back to the hospital and ask if they knew if this could be a reflection of something? They were FLOORED!!!!!  They just couldn't believe what was in the picture because of the employees watching us just before we went under the hospital.  I ask them to please go down to where we were and see if they could see ANYTHING that might cause it to look like this.  They sent me an email back saying there was nothing of ANY KIND that would have made this kind of a reflection or a reflection of any kind!  And the carts were not there either!  They could provide me with no reasonable explanation for this photo.  And let me remind you, I was way underneath the hospital and it was around 2:00am in the morning.  How could there possibly be light or sunshine?  If you look close it looks like an open ended tunnel you could just walk through.  You can see "the sun" or a light source shining down causing the ray of light to reflect on the bottom.  It looks as if there is a stair walkway leading upward. You can see "greenery" all around the stairs leading up. And it almost looks like one of the old timey wheel chairs over to the left.  Possibly, even some kind of maybe stone arch over to the left.  This is AMAZING!!!!!  Because there was absolutely nothing behind this man but a concert wall!!!!!

I believe this to be a TRUE picture of a portal.

CAN A SPIRIT FOLLOW YOU HOME- RE-POST

Hi everyone....so here's the question.....Can ghosts follow you home?  I could "dance around" the answer... but let me be blunt.  The answer is YES.  It is not common, but it CAN happen.  Now, with that being said lets talk about it.

There are reports of individuals having a particular ghost or spirit follow them home.  Some ghosts and spirits can attach themselves to objects, individuals, and or families.  Some people have reported taking something from a site that is said to be haunted....lets say something as simple as a stone from a building and suddenly finding that they have "bad luck" or unusual "things" just start happening.  Coincidence?  Maybe or maybe not.  Some people report purchasing an antique that has a ghost attached to it and it follows them home.  A ghost is not bound to a certain location, only drawn there because it was of significance to them when they were living.

I believe that sometimes ghosts or spirits will attach themselves to a person or family because they have been angered in some way..... but I also believe that sometimes a ghost or spirit may follow you home because they like you.  Sounds crazy? Well, think about it.  Do you want to be around people that are nice to you?  I think it is the same for spirits.  Lets say you have a location that is said to be haunted by a little girl.  Parents died tragically and she was left all alone and eventually dies herself.  You may have "people" that want to come investigate for the sheer purpose of making fun of ghosts or spirits.....then you have someone "like you and I, the GOOD ghost hunters" (LOL) that truly care about what happened to the souls.  So, what do we do....we talk as if we were talking to a child (no tauting) and we offer candy or we bring toys with us for the spirit to play with.  This little lost soul  has been lonely for so long and now someone wants to talk to her and play, she doesn't want you to leave.  So, she "attaches" herself and follows you home where she can be with you.  So, there you go....instant daughter! LOL  Also, beware of buying "used" objects as the same principle may apply.  Except, they may love the OBJECT and NOT you.

I get asked all the time, has you ever experienced someone or something following you home?  The answer is YES!!!!  Do I think it was a malevolent spirit?  No.  The things I was experienced did not make me feel threatened but more like....HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME......I'M HERE!!!  I give ghost tours down at a haunted bridge (Goatmans Bridge, Denton, Tx) and I communicate with a young 14 year old girl named Rebecca that died back in the mid 1800's.  First, we have the same name so I think she relates to that.  Second, I speak to her very respectful and tell her how happy I am to talk with her every time.

What was I experiencing?  Well, for starters, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS SOILD my tv would come on at 3am and the volume would be full blast and it would be all "staticy"!!!  And anyone that is connected to cable knows when your cable goes out there is nothing on the tv but a blue screen.  Every night I would get up and turn it off.  At first, I thought it was something going wrong with the tv or the cable.  I called and ask everyone what would cause that and everyone would tell me the same thing....It should NOT be doing that if it was going out.   Finally, I unplugged the tv thinking that would do the trick.....NOPE.....still came on by itself full blast!!!  Finally, one night when I couldn't take it anymore....I STOOD MY GROUND.....I turned it off after coming on at 3am and said out loud "OK.  I know you are here.  But this is MY house and I'm not moving.  So here is the deal.....You can stay BUT I don't want you to turn the tv on again.  And if you do, I will just get up and turn it off every time!  So we can live here together but you can not turn on the tv."  I swear....it has NEVER done it again.

Not only that...but the water in both the bathrooms would come on full blast by themselves, things would move from one place to another by themselves, alarms and other things would go off that shouldn't be going off and that had no batteries in them.  I really think it was Rebecca.  So I smudged the house and ask her to go back to the bridge and wait for me there.  And the activity stopped.

Now, this doesn't mean ghosts are just waiting to hitch-a-ride home with you, so don't start to worry yet.  But sometimes, you may "invite" them in by accident....say by using a Ouija Board.  You may be trying to contact  your departed loved one but that may NOT be who comes through.  If SOMEONE else decidesd it likes, or can manipulate you , it may just stay.....and LETS BE CLEAR...the spirit that decides it wants to stay from a Ouija Board may not be very nice at all.  So, this is nothing to play around with, so if you ARE going to use a Ouija Board be sure and take measures to protect yourself.  And just for the record, I NEVER AND WILL NEVER USE A OUIJA BOARD!!!

Lets talk about how to protect yourself from a spirit (good or bad) from attaching itself to you and following you home. Before and after you enter a location that you feel is haunted, say a prayer telling the spirits they are not allowed, or welcome to follow any of you home.  This is a command!   I take this very seriously, as we all have families, and friends that do not want a ghost to follow them home.  I believe you will start to see this more and more on all the TV Paranormal shows.  This protection prayer.

The metaphysical dangers of an investigation are real and should be taken seriously.  If it were only the physical and emotional thing to worry about, then this field of study could be done by almost anyone....but that's not the case.  Sometimes things we are looking for are there, and more often than not these things can and do follow us home at the end of the night.  This is where the dangers come in.

I believe it is my duty to tell you while ghost hunting can be very exciting, scary, and mind blowing, there are dangers.  Yes, anyone can grab a recorder, ask a question and get a response.  And yes, if you do not know how to protect yourself, anyone can have their lives turned upside down by unseen forces. I cannot express enough how important it is, if you want to become an investigator or you want to get involved in the paranormal, that you go with a team that has years of experience and is fully aware of the dangers out there and how to conduct themselves professionally and, most of all, safely.

So, is it possible for a ghost to follow you home? Yes.  But it is rare.  Do I want you to stop investigating because of the chance that someone or something will follow me home...NO.  Just take precautions and you should be fine.

Now, enough with all the serious stuff.  For myself, personally, ghost hunting is one of the most rewarding and fun things I do.  I love it with all my heart and will continue to research and look for answers in the field of paranormal. I look at it like a "sport" kinda........playing professional football lets say..... you have to watch out for the big, bad, muscle guy that is going to nail you on the field possibility breaking your bones.  Well, when you ghost hunt you have to watch out for the "dead people"......the ones that like to play tricks on you or the ones that really want to cause harm.  Oh well....I'm still "IN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SIGNS THAT YOU MAY HAVE A DEMONIC ENTITY IN YOUR HOME

Now, there are lots of different reasons you could have bad things start to happen to you in your home or to people around you. Let's try and rule out what really may be cause for a greater concern.

Generally, before repression, oppression, and/or possession occurs, a demonic entity will infest a location.  There are specific signs of a demonic infestation or haunting, and many of them mimic an intelligent haunting of a spirit that was once in human form.  This is why it's sometimes so difficult, even for seasoned paranormal investigators, to distinguish between a ghost or spirit and a demon. 

First, there are CHANGES IN YOUR HOME.  This is one of the signs of a traditional or intelligent haunting that could also be a demonic haunting.  A person might have electrical or battery-operated appliances or gadget that begin to operate on their own.  For example, the lights may turn on and off, the TV blares it when was turned off, blender or maybe even the water comes on by itself.

All of the sudden, you may see a plate or a dish fly across the room with no explanation.  This can be extremely frightening!  You may also notice things aren't in the same place you left them.  Doors open and close on their own. 

You may experience all of these things.  If you are trying to figure out what is going on.....it is VERY important to start writing them down.  Journal all the activity.  It will help if you have to call in help.

Next, NOISES.  Strange sounds, like dragging, banging, raps or things falling and breaking but when you go to check their is nothing out of place.

You may even hear your name being called out, but BE CAREFUL here!!!  Demons will often mimic a deceased loved one in order to gain your trust and be more accepting of its presence.  But it is also, important to look at all the paranormal activity in the location as well as how the behavior of the living people in the home may have changed since the activity started.

SMELLS.  That's right! Smells.  Smells play a huge part in hauntings  and demonic infestation.  Although you may smells that you recognize like cigar or cigarette smoke, perfume, in a demonic presence, you will smell things you haven't smelt before and they are usually NOT pleasant.  A smell like sulfur or "something rotting" may be noticed.

CHANGES IN THE AIR.  You know....the air seems "heavy" or "oppressive".  It just seems harder to breath...like something heavy is on your chest.  If you start to feel this way, usually leaving the location should help.

EMOTIONAL CHANGES.  People who have come into direct contact with a demon called the experience changes in their moods and emotions.  Demons feed off negative energy, so the changes in someones moods that is normally a "happy" person could be something more than "just having a bad day".  But let me say....that when someone is in a "bad mood" I think it would be BEST NOT TO SAY....your just possessed by a demon!!!!!  LOL  Now, you could REALLY stir things up.

PHYSICAL COMPLICATIONS.  A person who resides in a home where a demonic entity is present could experience a wide variety of physical symptoms or illnesses that cannot be linked to a specific ailment.  But please always, consult your dr. if you are not feeling well.

Sometimes, people may experience bruises, headaches, vomiting and other types of physiological conditions for which the medical profession is not able to find  a logical explanation.  Sleep issues, such as nightmares maybe a way for the demon to wear a person down physically and emotionally to make their victim more vulnerable to their influence and make their prey easier to control.

PHYSICAL HARM.  Demonic entities can be very violent in nature and won't hesitate to attack.  Besides the scratching and bruising that can take place, victims of a demon have reported having their hair pulled, or having been pushed or pulled to the point that they have fallen and become injured, sometimes seriously, specially if a flight of stairs is involved.

CHANGES IN ANIMAL BEHAVIOR.  One of the main signs of a demonic entity is when your pets, especially a cat or a dog, start to display behavior that is erratic or uncharacteristic.  Now, don't confuse this with a "visit from a loved one" that your pets may see that you don't.  They may wage their tails or bark at an empty space, but with a demons presence it is more like growling, backing up, not wagging their tag, and even refusing to enter a particular room.

BECOMING WITHDRAWN.  Generally a demon will target one person in the home as their victim.  This person may start to withdraw and lose interest in activities.  They will become withdrawn from social events and even school or work.

Withdrawing from family and friends is exactly what the demon wants them to do.  That way, the demon can isolate their victim to gain control over them. 

If you suspect you or one of your family members are experiencing a demonic infestation, you should seek help from a paranormal professional or a member of clergy who has experience dealing with demonic entities.

THE 10 WORST CRIMES EVER COMMITTED ON HALLOWEEN

Poisoning of Timothy O'Bryan

While the vast majority of Halloween scare stories about razor blades in apples or poisoned candy are either urban legends or moral panics, one story is, unfortunately, completely true. And it had nothing to do with a demented stranger randomly killing children. Eight-year-old Timothy O'Bryan had a packet of Pixie Stix given to him by his father Ronald to cap off his trick-or-treating. He almost immediately went into convulsions, and died an hour later.

The death sent the O'Bryan's small Texas town into a panic, and the police determined that the Pixie Stix that Timothy ate were laced with cyanide. When Ronald's story kept changing, police began investigating him. They found him to be deeply in debt, and that he'd taken out massive life insurance policies on his children. Police found that other O'Bryan children had also been given the candy by their dad, but hadn't eaten them.

Ronald O'Bryan was found guilty of murder, sentenced to death, and executed in 1984.

Late on Halloween night 2004, roommates Leslie Mazzara, Adriane Insogna, and Lauren Meanza went to bed after handing out candy. Meanza was woken up at 1AM by the sounds of a scuffle. Not knowing what was happening, she ran in terror from the house and hid in the backyard, watching an assailant climb out of a window. When the coast was clear, she ran back upstairs, and found both of her roommates butchered. 

In the course of the investigation, FBI agents found cigarette butts near the scene of the crime that matched blood evidence inside the house, but found no known matches in any DNA databases. Officers and FBI agents spoke to nearly 1,500 persons of interest during the investigation of the double murder including one of Insogna’s friends, Lily Prudhome. Her husband, Eric Copple, became a person of extreme interest during the investigation when he refused to give a DNA sample to exclude him from the suspect pool. Nearly a year after the commission of the crime, Copple turned himself in and confessed to the deaths of his wife's friends while giving no motive for the execution of his crime.

If the nature of the murders wasn't heinous enough, consider the fact that Copple was, at the time of the murders, only engaged to the friend of one of his victims and carried on with the wedding thinking his crimes would not be tied to him. This quote from Adriane Insogna's mother, Arlene Allen, gives a chilling insight into a murderer who thought he got away with it.

“You are the man who is so cruel as to invite me, the mother of the woman you murdered, to stand up for you at your wedding, to read scripture to you of love and death and to bless your union. Throughout that weekend you brought me into the heart of your family, knowing all the while it was you who destroyed mine."

Liske Family Murders

On Halloween 2010, Ohio teenager Devon Griffin returned home from Sunday church services to find the corpses of his brother Derek, mother Susan, and Susan's new husband William Liske. The killer had bludgeoned Derek with a claw hammer, shot William five times with a .22-caliber pistol, and raped Susan before shooting her three times. Devon was so traumatized he could only say it was like “something out of a haunted house.”

The killer was found to be William Liske’s son from a previous marriage, William Liske Jr., who had a history of schizophrenia and violence. Liske was picked up at a halfway house, and pleaded guilty to all three murders. He committed suicide in prison in 2015. 

Murder of Tony Bagley

Seven-year-old Las Vegas boy Tony Bagley went trick-or-treating on Halloween night in 1994 with his sister, aunt, and mother. They were walking down the street when a man in a hoodie ran towards them with a gun and opened fire, killing Tony. He then jumped into a waiting car and drove away. The killer has never been caught, and police speculated that the shooting was revenge against Tony's father for a drug deal gone wrong.

Murder of Karl Jackson

Bronx resident Karl Jackson was a 21-year-old data entry clerk at Morgan Stanley. On Halloween night 1998, Jackson went with his girlfriend to pick up her young son from a party. While there, some teenagers threw eggs at their car But the classic Halloween prank soon turned really ugly.

Jackson got out of his car, exchanged words with the throwers, and got back in the car. Then one of the teens pulled a gun and shot Jackson through the head, killing him instantly. Police arrested 17-year-old Curtis Sterling for the murder, and New York cracked down on egg-throwing pranks. 

The Woodbridge Abductions

In 2009, three teenage girls were abducted by a man with a gun on their way home from trick-or-treating in Woodbridge, Virginia. All three were taken at gunpoint to a wooded area, and two were sexually assaulted. The third girl was able to call her mother, causing the rapist to flee. Two years later, police arrested Aaron Thomas, who was already suspected in dozens of sexual assaults from 1997 until then. Thomas pleaded guilty in 2012 to the three kidnappings. 

Death of Yoshihiro Hattori

Yoshihiro Hattori was a Japanese exchange student living in Baton Rouge as part of the American Field Service program. On Halloween night 1992, Hattori and the young son of his host family went to a Halloween party for AFS students. Unfamiliar with the neighborhood were the party was, the boys rang the doorbell of the wrong house.

When they got no answer, they started walking back to their car. The owner of the home, Rodney Peairs, then opened the door armed with a 44 Magnum revolver. Hattori turned around and said "we're here for the party." Claiming he feared for his life and that the exchange student was "scary," Peairs shot Hattori at point blank range, hitting him in the chest and killing him.

Peairs and his wife then went back into their house and waited 40 minutes for the police, who questioned him and let him go. Only when both the governor of Louisiana and the Japanese consulate got involved was Peairs actually arrested, after which he was acquitted of manslaughter. 

Murders of Ronald Sisman and Elizabeth Platzman

Sometime in the early hours of Halloween 1981, Manhattan couple Ronald Sisman and Elizabeth Platzman were murdered in their Chelsea apartment. The couple was severely beaten before being shot in the head, execution-style, with the apartment completely ransacked. New York police initially believed drug money to be the motive, but then the case took a turn for the bizarre. A prison informant claimed that one of his fellow inmates had predicted the crime weeks before it actually happened. That inmate turned out to be the “Son of Sam” killer, David Berkowitz.
 

Berkowitz had long been rumored to be involved with a satanic cult that helped him with some of the murders. According to the informant, Berkowitz had told him that his cult was planning to enter a residence near Greenwich Village (Chelsea would qualify for that) on Halloween to carry out a ritual murder. When questioned, Berkowitz claimed that Sisman had footage of one of the “Son of Sam” shootings and was planning to hand it over to the authorities in exchange for dropping some drug charges.

While no evidence was found to support Berkowitz’s claims, he was basically right about the description of Sisman’s apartment. The killings are still unsolved.

Pasadena Gang Shootings

On Halloween night 1993, a group of five Pasadena Bloods gang members opened fire on trick-or-treating teenagers returning from a party, killing three and wounding three others. The gang members were soon arrested, and police determined they had fired at the wrong people, randomly shooting a group of kids, rather than their intended targets. Three Bloods were found guilty of the shootings.

The Murder of Martha Moxley

The night before Halloween 1975, Connecticut teenager Martha Moxley left her house to attend a neighborhood party. Her body was found the next morning beneath a tree in her backyard, brutally beaten by a golf club.

Twenty-five years went by until Michael Skakel, who was also 15 at the time, was arrested, charged, and convicted of her murder. The case drew worldwide attention since Skakel was a nephew of Robert F. Kennedy's widow. Because of his family's wealth, he had lived life in and out of rehab for alcohol, trying out for the Winter Olympics, and flunking out of multiple schools.

Skakel’s alibi seemed bizarre - that he had been masturbating under that tree earlier the same night (accounting for DNA found on the body), but that he had no connection to the crime. He had a letter written on his behalf by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and after numerous appeals, was given a new trial in 2012 due to prosecutor misconduct and a poor defense. He's currently out on bail, waiting for the new trial to start.
