ANGELS....ARE THEY SENT FROM HEAVEN ABOVE?

So first.....I know my post is late but I'm on vacation with my family and trying to keep up is a little crazy!!!  But I didn't want you guys to think I forgot you. :)

Now, lets talk angels.  To most people when you say the word ANGEL they think of a beautiful lady in white with wings floating above us in the clouds.  Well, they may be, but in my opinion, angels take many different forms.  Have you ever heard people refer to perfect STRANGERS as their "Guardian angels"?  Let's say, you where held at gunpoint....and from out of know where a stranger shows up and wrestles the robber to the ground and then you never see or hear from that person again?  Are they REALLY your guardian angel?  You better know they very well could be! 

Many believe that GOD chooses his angels to come down from Heaven to protect and guide us.  What do I believe?  I DO believe GOD allows certain love ones to watch over us and protect us. I think they "show" themselves many times...in many different ways.  I can't say that I have ever SEEN an angel in the FORM that most people think....but I CAN TELL you that I FEEL them all the time...I see the SIGNS that I think I am suppose to see.  Angels are all around us all the time all WE have to do is pray and OPEN our minds that the LITTLE THINGS aren't just a coincidence.

IS THERE MORE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY AFTER A NATURAL DISASTER?

The simple answer is "yes".  It has long been reported that after a natural disaster has occurred  that people almost immediately start to report sightings of ghosts.  Think about all the reasons someone "stays behind"....... unfinished business, can't leave their loved ones, confused-don't know they are dead and many more ......who really knows but wouldn't you agree that in a natural disaster ALL of those reasons would be running through the minds of the victims?  Where there were a lot of "emotional attachments" or "feelings" at a location.....usually the paranormal activity is pretty high.

So, if you think about it.....in a natural disaster such as a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, fire, explosions, etc. what do all these things have?  EMOTION.  Can you imagine the FEAR and the CONFUSION during a natural disaster as a earthquake or hurricane?  Where are my loved ones? What is happening? Am I going to die? What will my loved ones do without me? What about my beloved pets....who will take care of them?  I can't die, I won't get to see my kids grow up?  My husband or wife can't make it without me!  ALL of these things running through YOUR mind......now take that and times it by hundreds and thousands of people thinking the same thing!  The energy in a location like this must be crazy!!!!Confusion, helplessness and chaos running through the minds of the living..........but also of the DEAD!!!
 
So many times spirits don't even KNOW what happened to them.  Things happened so fast that they don't even realize that they have died and so they try live the same way they always did.   But now maybe with a bit more confusion as to what happened and why their loved ones don't see them or respond to them.  And for us the living, sometimes this can be very hard.  Because keep in mind, helping them into the light, going to heaven, crossing over whatever you want to call it, is what we need to do..... being STUCK is not where you want your loves.  So as hard as it may be, we must let them know what happened and that they have died and need to move on.  I know if I lost my grandparents in a natural disaster and didn't get to say "Bye" or tell them "I loved them" it would be hard for me.....but here's the thing......keeping them HERE with US is a little on the selfish side.  Sorry, but that's they way I feel.  Keeping them HERE is for US to feel better, NOT what is best for THEM.

You know me, I am going to put it in "Becky Terms".  It's like having a beautiful butterfly in a jar.  Man...it is soooo pretty to look at and it makes you smile every time you look at it......BUT is being in that jar REALLY what is best for the butterfly??? Or would it be better to let it go.....so that it could fly up into the sky roaming around where ever it likes? Anyway, you get the picture. :)

It is VERY sad when something like this happens, and make NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT.....my heart goes out to anyone who has ever had to deal with this, but it does cause a location to become more haunted or active.  So, if you are ghost hunting, a site where a natural disaster occurred is probably a good location to investigate.  And again, be respectful of the place you are investigating.

HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES THAT HAVE PASSED.

People ask me all the time about "how do you know if a place is haunted?"  "Can I still contact my loved one"?  First, let me say YES you can!!!  They are always around you so you don't have to be in a certain place or it doesn't only have to be at night.

But for some people, they want PROOF or at least get some kind of sign that their loved ones are still around.  I understand this because if you get sign or in some way communicate with them YOU feel better.  Right?  I am going to tell you a couple of inexpensive ways to communicate with someone that has pasted.  Very easy stuff.  You have to talk to THEM like they are still living.  Lets say you wanted to communicate with a grandfather that had passed away.  You can ask him to move an object such as a pair of glasses.  Before you go to bed put the glasses in a certain spot and very lightly sprinkle baby power around the glasses.  Make sure they are in a location out of the vents for the AC or heater and shut the door the room where no one can go in until morning.  Then in the morning, check to see if there are any marks in the baby power that would indicate movement.  Hopefully will you will be able to see if the glasses have moved at all.  And remember, it doesn't mean the glasses had to move SEVERAL inches, just a little so that you can see the baby powder is disturbed.

You could also ask them to move a picture.  Make sure the picture is straight and ask them to title the corner of the picture.  Again, make sure no one would be going near the picture overnight.  And the next morning if the picture is titled......well say "hello to Granny". lol

Another way, of course, is pictures.  When you are alone or their is not a lot of traffic, pets or things that might stir up dust, go from room to room and ask if you loved ones are around could they please show themselves.  If you are using a digital camera make sure it is at least a 7.2megapixels or higher.  The "old timey" Polaroid camera's that shoot out an instant picture is the most undisputed evidence camera you can have as for as pictures.  Digital camera's can be photo shopped so easy and you can't photo shop an instant pictures.  What you are looking for here is orbs......small round balls of light or if your lucky your loved one can manifest in a "mist" form or something that looks like "fog".  This is what you are looking for in your photos.  Now, you may not be able to see them at the time you take the picture with the naked eye, but go back and review your pictures and hopefully you will find what you are looking for.

Before I ever start this week's topic let me say..... I have THE BEST group of people that go with me to places that few would ever dream of going in the dead of the night!  I guess they are just as crazy as me, right??? LOL

Getting together a group of people that you can rely on and know that they got "your back" just like you have theirs....well it's not as easy as it sounds.  Not EVERYONE is willing to go up against a ghost for ya!!!  Pictured are the BEST group of people I could ever ask for!!!  Thanks to every one of you:

OK OK....enough mushy stuff LOL.  Back to business.  With all the publicity that our field is receiving these days anyone came snap off a couple of pics, catch a couple of EVP's and claim to be a GHOST HUNTER.  The difference between a....hhuuummm......how do I say this nice....."a jumping on the band wagon" ghost hunter and a TRUE GHOST HUNTER is HEART(Hunting Evidence And Researching Truth....I just made that up but I LIKE it!!! hahaa ) TRUE Ghost Hunters or the more formal term..... Paranormal Investigators are in this field because we are driven by the desire to understand and search for TRUE evidence that there is an afterlife and we can still contact spirits or our loved ones after they have passed.  Another reason we stand apart is because we know that our strength of character, honesty, courage, an objectivity for the paranormal last longer than a few fleeting months.  For me, I have said before, that studying the paranormal is as much a part of me as breathing!!!  It is in my heart and soul, and a passion that few ever get to experience!  Thank you Nan.

When you start a group you need to have a goal in mind....what is it you are looking for, how are you going to go about finding it and how are you going to present it.  You need to set a few rules and guidelines.  I have a handbook that explains how to conduct an interview, research the location, what is expected as far as conduct is concerned etc.  This just helps things run smoother when people know what is expected of them. You know me....I've got to say it in BECK TERMS......it's kinda like driving down the highway....with the dotted lines down the middle....everyone knows which side of the lines to drive on....if you didn't have the lines...well.....might make things more difficult for people to know which side is theirs.  Anyway.....make sure everyone understand the basic theories behind paranormal anomalies.  You want to chose people that can put their ego's aside.  You don't want someone that tries to "be in everyone's business" so to speak or tries to constantly be judging someone's evidence or the way they are conducting their investigation.  Remember....you can eat a cookie with your left hand or you can eat a cookie with your right hand.....either way....once it gets in your mouth......uuuuuummmm it taste GREAT so see one isn't better than the other.  LOL  You get point.... :)  Another example, a better one maybe...is....I do not conduct my investigations the same way that Zak from Ghost Adventures does.  He is very much into taunting and I am not!  Now I am not bad mouthing Zak..... it's just that I do NOT want someone talking to my loved that way so I chose to speak to the spirits in a more respectful manner.

I personally feel that EVERYONE needs room to grow and develop their OWN style of investigating that works best for them and you, the lead investigator, and the team as a whole.  I also believe that IF you give people the chance, they will develop their own "six sense" so that they are able to pick up of feelings, smells, sounds etc. and be more in tune with their surrounds.  This does nothing but BETTER your team.  And if you can, keep your team small or if you have a larger group, make sure that you separate them into smaller groups, it just seems to flow easier that way.

When someone request to be a member in your group, I suggest that you let them attend a couple of investigations first.  This way you can see if they are serious or just curious.  Come up with your own question and answer form BEFORE you invite them in to see why they are interested in the paranormal. 

Communication is KEY!!!!  If you have to drag information out of someone because they don't want to share their photos, or EVP's with the group(sometimes, people feel THEY won't get credit....you know how that goes) chances are good they'll withhold critical information while on assignment or during an evidence review.

Once you feel comfortable they are in the field for the same reasons you are and their character seems to be what you and the other team members are looking for....then invite them into this crazy world of ours.  Don't forget that all your team members should approach each investigation with skepticism until other wise proven differently.  You don't want someone that every little noise, spot on a picture or sound is paranormal activity.

I will probably have an additional post on this subject down the road because there are still things I would like to suggest, but for tonight, that's enough.

POSTING ABOUT MY GRANDFATHER NAN.

Ok.  So a promise is a promise.  And I said once my blog reached over 50,000 views I would write about losing my Nan and my "visit" from him.  So you guys bare with me, I am working on it, but it is very difficult as I have not told but one or two people about "HIS visit" he had with me after his death that changed the rest of my life! I can't give you a exact date I will have it finished but I will be posting it soon.  I know I say this a lot, but without you guys, Becks Everyday Ghost Hunters would not be possible.  So together, we will continue....  :)

WHY DO SPIRITS HANG AROUND WATER? WHAT DOES WATER HAVE TO DO WITH IT???

Hi everyone!!  Man!  Is it just me or does it seem like it's been a long time since we talked????

Let's talk about ghosts and water.  What do they have to do with one another?  Have you ever gone into the kitchen late at night, in the dark, half a sleep and you turn on the facet and fill up a glass of water then slowly bring the glass up to your mouth and all the sudden you feel like someone is watching you???? Yeah....me neither!!!! haha Just a little "ghostly" humor on my part....trying to start out with something that sounded creepy. LOL

Ok.  Down to business.  Many paranormal investigators believe that water is a great conductor of electricity.  Could this explain why some old buildings seem to be more active than ones built recently?  Older buildings used much more water in their brick and mortar than today's materials.
In theory, the older the building gets, the water starts to evaporate and therefore, the residual haunting becomes weaker and weaker over time.

 And with this theory, it would explain why renovations or remodeling seem to make the "haunting" more active.  Inside some structures, water may be "locked in" and prevented from evaporating, like inside of the wall or in the foundation.  Disturbing that may cause the water that has been stored for decades to be released and in this way, allow its memory to be played.  This stored water could hold a higher quality copy of the original event and this could seem to make the location "active" again with "ghostly" activity.  Once this water also evaporates, the haunting then fades away once more.
Water is a conductor of electricity. (Not a great one though, but it does conduct). Water doesn't create the activity , it just seems to make it more intense.

I don't know really how much "stock" I personally put in this theory but I can say, that SEVERAL places I have investigated around or near water seem to be quite active.

The pictures I have posted throughout this post are all mine that I took in places near water. And I can say, that at these places I got lots of activity.   So, what do you think?  Could water be the "food" that the spirits need?  To manifest, to be stronger for us to see?  Seems to be a possibility.

FOR ALL VETERANS...A GREAT BIG GHOSTLY THANK YOU!!!!

Whether you know someone personally, or have a family member currently serving our country...today take just a couple of minutes out of your busy day and THANK THEM(that's the least we can do for someone that does soooo much for us.)  Whether it is in spirit or you can thank them in person, lets not forget that WE can only lay our heads down each night on our soft pillows...and close our eyes and never think about  if tomorrow never comes BECAUSE of those who protect us while we sleep.  They sleep out in the cold and hot weather, with there heads resting on rocks, hearing gun shots ringing in a distance......so that YOU and I can sleep peacefully.

So here is a great big ghostly THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you have done and will do to protect this great country we live in!!!!!  May God watch over you and keep you safe.

ABANDON MANTENO MENTAL INSANE ASYLUM... HAUNTED??? WELL I WAS JUST THERE.....LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE.....

Imagine a place where the patients roam the halls yelling and screaming walking around in a daze because of shock treatments all through the night.  They would pound and bang on doors at all hours.  Therapy shock treatments like lobotomy, fever cabinets and who knows what else for mental               illness.  Even reports of government experiments on patients.  If you weren't crazy when you went in, there's a good chance you would be when you left.                                                                                                                                                       

 

Opened in 1929 and closed 1985 ...over 8,000 patient at once with just a little over 200 medical personnel this place is one for the books.  It's no wonder people claim to hear screams, cries, yelling and more.  One reason a spirit stays attached to a place is because it is a place with a great emotion.  Whether the emotion is happy or sad, spirits stay. I would say this place has it all!!!

Ok.  Now to the investigation.  First let me say...I have posted a lot of pics and some of them I had to lighten because we were doing the investigation in complete dark. All we had were our flashlights.  I tried to post several different parts of the builds because I wanted to give you guys a feel for what it was really like there.  The weather conditions on the night we were there was cold and rainy so you will see us plenty bundled up. I am from Texas and it doesn't get cold in Texas so I dressed like I was headed to the North Pole.  If something had chased us, I would have never made it because I could barely put my arms down I had soooo many cloths on and like two pairs of pants so I walked like the Good Year Tire Guy.(you know the one...the little white guy that looks like a marshmallow with a little blue hat)  LOL

 

As we crawled in a broken door way, being very careful because everything was slick and wet...at first sight (even in the dark) you can't but help feel all the activity that once was inside these walls.  Although the floors were soaked with water because of the rain we were able to find very small area's that we could set up our equipment.  Without getting to detailed, let me tell you that we heard voices, some of children, saw balls of light, heard footsteps, saw shadows again and again and even near the underground basement that reportedly has underground tunnels attached to them so they could take the really unruly patients from building to building without going through the main entrance ....we heard GROWLING!!!  Yep.....GROWLING!!!  The basement area BY FAR...was extremely creepy!  We had some great flashlight communication and have some really awesome EVP's that I hope to post soon.  We still are going through our evidence.  Below is one of my FAVORITE photo's that Anthony with White Dog Paranormal caught inside.  This is what I call an Eco Mist.  It is a spirit that is trying to manifest itself.  This is an AMAZING photo!!!  For a ghost hunter....catching a photo like this is kinda like winning the GHOST lotto. LOL  You can see to the right side of the photo a very intense mist.  And before you even say it.... no.  It wasn't someone's breath.  You can see the location of AJ, an investigator with White Dog Paranormal and you can clearly tell that the mist is WAY above his head and on the far side of the room.

There is just soooo much to write about on our experience at Manteno that I am really struggling to try and keep this short.  The next pic.... another unbelievable photo that Anthony also caught outside the entrance of this abandon place... I am beginning to wonder if there may be a portal to the left side of the main entrance.  For whatever reason.....the outside of this building just in trigged me. I just kept wanting to go investigate near the front entrance.  Can you imagine if you were walking up to this place....first.....seeing this size of the place and then hearing screams and cries coming from inside, knowing this is where you were going to be living???  The FEAR must have been crazy!(pardon the expression LOL)  First, you will see in MY photos(All the ones posted below are my original photos)number #7 and #8 that I believe shows the entrance to a portal because in photo 8. There are TONS of orbs or spirits clearly seen here and in the photo actually number 7 is taken immediately AFTER 8 and all the orbs are gone!!!! Within secs, they are GONE!!!  So, it couldn't have been dust...for two reasons...it had been raining and had stopped and second...because we had not been on that side of the building AT ALL so we couldn't have stirred anything up!  You'll notice the timestamp for proof.  This is sometimes an indication of a portal with two back to back photos and one having tons of orbs and the very next shot having absolutely none.

 

That along with Anthony's photo below showing again....another eerie MIST makes me really feel there is something definitely there!                                                                                                   

 

So, do I think this place holds secrets...tales that most of us would rather not know about...that only our friends in the spirit world know ???  You better believe it!!!!  Check back soon for the creepy EVP's we collected including one saying "BECKY".  Really????
