I thought I would re-post this because I love this cemetery!!!!  And every time I visit it, it stills just sends a little chill down my back.  I it just like looking at a field of coffins!!!  

Anyway, enjoy the post and if you know anything about these kind of "markers" or grave tombs, please I would love to know more about them.

So, I need your help.  I went to visit my brother in Arkansas this past weekend and we did a little ghost hunting around where he lives in Kingston, Arkansas.  We came across the Mc Broom Cemetery that sits up on a hill all by itself.

In all the years of investigating cemeteries, I have not ever ran across one like this.  It had several grave markers that were shaped like coffins.  Some little, some big, facing all different directions. The earliest settlers had their feet pointing toward the east and the head of the coffin toward the west, ready to rise up and face the "new day" (the sun) when "the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised" or when Christ would appear and they would be reborn.  So, I really don't understand the way these people were laid to rest. hhuummm  I really feel the coffin markers are the actual size of the casket and the body inside...that was laid to rest beneath them because the baby's were very small and the adults larger.

I am very curious about these "coffin" shaped tombstones.  The best I can find out is that back in the 1700's the stone coffin marker was set on top of the actual casket. I wish I could read the dates on the tombstones, but they had all eroded over time.  I just think it is odd that I have been in some really old cemeteries and NONE of them had these kind of tombstones. 

If you know anything about these coffin shaped tombstones I would LOVE to know about them.  I posted several pics of this really "cool" cemetery.

GHOSTS OF FLIGHT 401-WHAT ARE THEY PROTECTING???

So, I had heard about this before but after reading about it I thought I would share it with you.  In short, it is about a plane that crashes and the Pilot and flight engineer seem to appear on planes that have been been restored with random parts from the Flight 401 plane that crashed.   

You know, it is pretty creepy to think that the person sitting next to you on a plane......MAY BE A GHOST!!!!  I guess for me anyway, I just always think about ghosts being on the ground.....you know.....in haunted houses and cemeteries......but this story DOES make you wonder.....hhhhuuummm  What about that man in uniform setting in the set in front of you.........

Ghosts of Flight 401

Perhaps the most extraordinary and credible research into the ghost phenomenon ever documented is the so-called "Ghosts of Flight 401." On December of 1972, an Eastern Airlines Tri-Star jetliner, Flight 401, crashed into a Florida swamp. The pilot, Bob Loft (on the left), and flight engineer Don Repo (on the right), were two of the 101 people who perished in the air crash. Not long after the crash, the ghosts of Loft and Repo were seen on more than twenty occasions by crew members on other Eastern Tri-Stars, especially those planes which had been fitted with parts salvaged from the Flight 401 wreckage. The apparitions of Loft and Repo were invariably described as being extremely lifelike. They were not only reported by people who had known Loft and Repo, but their ghosts were also subsequently identified from photographs by people who had not known Loft and Repo. The strange tales of the ghostly airmen of Flight of 401 circulated in the airline community. An account of the paranormal happenings even appeared in a 1974 US Flight Safety Foundation's newsletter. John G. Fuller, the best-selling author of The Ghost of Flight 401, carried out an exhaustive investigation into the hauntings with the aid of several cautious airline personnel. A mass of compelling testimony was produced as a result. The website Flight 401 – The Black Box Storyprovides an account of the crash as told using material from the Black Box. It highlights how poor cockpit resource management caused a tiny light bulb to distract the pilots and bring down a Tristar jetliner. The cause of the crash was found to be a couple of minor design faults in the controls, and Lockheed rapidly corrected them. However, it was after some of the undamaged parts of the aircraft were subsequently recycled onto other planes that the mysterious incidents began to be reported. Although Eastern Airlines refuses to discuss the matter, researchers have interviewed numerous individuals claiming to have encountered the ill-fated pair on L-1011s. As the reports would have it, Loft and Repo have devoted their after-lives to watching over the passengers and crew of these Lockheed passenger planes. Many of the testimonies are extremely persuasive. Many come from people in highly responsible positions: pilots, flight officers, even a vice president of Eastern Airlines, who allegedly spoke with a captain he assumed was in charge of the flight, before recognizing him as the late Loft. Other sightings are convincing because they have multiple witnesses. A flight's captain and two flight attendants claim to have seen and spoken to Loft before take-off and watched him vanish - an experience that left them so shaken they cancelled the flight. One female passenger made a concerned enquiry to a flight attendant regarding the quiet, unresponsive man in Eastern Airlines uniform sitting in the seat next to her, who subsequently disappeared in full view of both of them and several other passengers, leaving the woman hysterical. When later shown a sheet of photos depicting Eastern flight engineers, she identified Repo as the officer she had seen. Another incident occurred when one of the L-1011 passenger planes that had been fitted with salvaged parts was due for take-off. The flight engineer was mid-way through carrying out the routine pre-flight inspection when Repo appeared to him and said, "You don't need to worry about the pre-flight, I've already done it." Repo and Loft are apparently not content merely to be present on these airplanes. Often their style is far more hands on, particularly in Repo's case. Aside from his appearance to a pre-flight engineer who he appeared to have been assisting, there is testimony from a flight attendant who observed a man in a flight engineer's uniform, whom she later recognized as Repo, fixing a galley oven. The insistence of the plane's own flight engineer that he had not fixed the oven, and that there had not been another engineer on board, would seem to lend weight to her claim. Repo was also seen in the compartment below the cockpit by a flight engineer who had accessed it in order to investigate a knocking he heard coming from there. On another occasion, Faye Merryweather, a flight attendant, saw Repo's face looking out at her from an oven in the galley of Tri-Star 318. Understandably alarmed, she fetched two colleagues, one of whom was the flight engineer who had been a friend of Repo's and recognized him instantly. All three heard Repo warn them to, "Watch out for fire on this airplane." The plane later encountered serious engine trouble and the last leg of its flight was cancelled. It is interesting to note that the galley of Tri-Star 328 had been salvaged from the wreckage of flight 401. The sightings were all reported to the Flight Safety Foundation (an independent authority) which commented: "The reports were given by experienced and trustworthy pilots and crew. We consider them significant. The appearance of the dead flight engineer (Repo) ... was confirmed by the flight engineer." Later, records of the Federal Aviation Agency recorded the fire which broke out on that same aircraft. One of the vice-presidents of Eastern Airlines boarded a Miami-bound TriStar at JFK airport and spoke to a uniformed captain sitting in First Class. Suddenly, he recognized the captain was Loft, at which point the apparition vanished. Another incident occurred when Repo appeared to a captain and told him, "There will never be another crash. We will not let it happen." A female passenger found herself sitting next to an Eastern Airlines flight officer who looked pale and ill, but would not speak; she called a stewardess but before the eyes of several people, the man disappeared. The woman was later shown photographs of Eastern Airlines engineers and she identified the man as Repo. Unfortunately, further research into the well-witnessed paranormal incidents was severely hampered by the airline company which steadfastly refused to co-operate with the ghost investigators.

HOW TO TELL IF YOUR SCHOOL IS HAUNTED?

I have had a couple of teachers and students ask me "How can I tell if my school is haunted"?  So I thought this would be a good week to write about it with school starting.

Have fellow students or even teachers admitted that they have encountered strange activity, such as doors opening and closing on their own, lights going on and off, disembodied footsteps or voices, phantom music, or maybe even an apparition? Perhaps you’ve experienced something unusual yourself. I have had some teachers and students write me on HOW they can tell if there school is haunted so......Here are some ways you can find out:

1. Ask around. Seek school staff and ask them if they have had any experiences with strange activity. Those who work after hours might be the most helpful. Maintenance workers are often at the school in the evening or at night when the place is empty and quiet, and paranormal activity can more easily be noticed. Teachers sometimes stay after hours, too, to grade papers, prepare activities, or oversee a student club. Find out if they've come across anything that could be considered paranormal. Likewise ask fellow students if they've had any weird experiences. Ask them to spread the word that you are seeking this information. (Be cautious, however; some students are likely to make up stories.)

1. Check online listings. There are some good sources on the Internet for information about haunted schools. This site has a gallery of Haunted Colleges and Universities. Another great source is Shadowlands.net, which has listings of haunted places for every state. Find your state and city and see if your school is listed as a place where ghosts have been reported. The listing often provides a brief description of reported activity.

Do a Google search. Use Google, Bing, or some other online search engine and see if there is any additional information online. For example, enter into the search engine:

1. "John Smith High School" ghosts haunted haunting
   Perhaps an article will show up in the results that tells you about haunting experiences.
2. Newspaper articles. An online search might yield newspaper articles, but not all newspapers put their archives online. Go to the newspaper and ask how you might conduct such a search of their archives. The local library might be helpful as well.
3. School newspaper. Does your school have a newspaper? Checking back issues of the paper might yield some ghostly anecdotes.
4. Historical Society. The local historical society is often a good source of information about the area, possibly even the school or the grounds upon which it was built. (Perhaps it was once the location of something creepy.) The society might be a source of records, legends, or stories about the location.
5. Ghost hunting groups. Contact any ghost hunting or paranormal investigation groups in your area. They might have information about haunting activity reported at the school. Perhaps they have been contacted by students or staff about experiences there. They might have even done an investigation.
6. Your Own Hunt. If you uncover some evidence that there has been some paranormal activity at your school, you could seek permission to conduct your own investigation. If they allow it, the school authorities will most likely want to have a faculty member or other school staff present. The local ghost investigation group could be helpful in providing guidance and equipment.

Tips:

1. Be persistent. It might be difficult finding out any information about hauntings or ghost reports at your school. Such research can be hard work.
2. Be skeptical. If there are stories or anecdotes about haunting activity at your school, do not automatically assume that they are true. Legends that are nothing more than made up stories are sometimes manufactured by imaginative students. Try to get the best sources you can.
3. Document your experience. If you have had your own paranormal experience at the school, write it down. Be sure to include where and when it happened, who was with you, and every detail of the experience as best as you can remember it, including every sight, sound, smell, and sensation. It might be a good idea to inform a faculty member of your experience also.
4. Document your research. It's quite possible that no one has ever assembled all of the information about paranormal activity at your school. With all of the research you've done, perhaps you can be the first one to put it all together. You could write an article or even create a small booklet or website about your haunted school. Be careful to label rumors as rumors, legends as legends, etc. You want to be a good journalist. Who knows, your English teacher might even give you extra credit for it. I would also be interested in hearing about what you have discovered.

POLTERGEIST ACTIVITY IN 1965-REAL OR NOT???

Even in 1965 Poltergeist activity was being filmed.

In 1965 there were strange happenings occurring inside the small house of Marcia Howells in Swansea, Wales. The mother and her family had been tormented by an unseen force that pushed and tossed their furniture around. Not knowing what to do, the Howells called in the local police to assist in the matter. However the police quickly found themselves rendered helpless against the unexplained phenomena that was trashing the Howells’ home.

Like most true poltergeist cases, the happenings inside the Rhondda street house abruptly stopped and no logical explanation was ever found.
Poltergeist activity is said to not be induced by “ghosts”, rather many parapsychologists believe that psychokinetic energy is to blame. A force of energy that has not been yet proven real but has been observed in the wild by trained professionals. Anyone else remember Nina Kulagina?

CAN A GHOST FOLLOW YOU HOME??? RE-POST

Hi everyone....so here's the question.....Can ghosts follow you home?  I could "dance around" the answer... but let me be blunt.  The answer is YES.  It is not common, but it CAN happen.  Now, with that being said lets talk about it.

There are reports of individuals having a particular ghost or spirit follow them home.  Some ghosts and spirits can attach themselves to objects, individuals, and or families.  Some people have reported taking something from a site that is said to be haunted....lets say something as simple as a stone from a building and suddenly finding that they have "bad luck" or unusual "things" just start happening.  Coincidence?  Maybe or maybe not.  Some people report purchasing an antique that has a ghost attached to it and it follows them home.  A ghost is not bound to a certain location, only drawn there because it was of significance to them when they were living.

I believe that sometimes ghosts or spirits will attach themselves to a person or family because they have been angered in some way..... but I also believe that sometimes a ghost or spirit may follow you home because they like you.  Sounds crazy? Well, think about it.  Do you want to be around people that are nice to you?  I think it is the same for spirits.  Lets say you have a location that is said to be haunted by a little girl.  Parents died tragically and she was left all alone and eventually dies herself.  You may have "people" that want to come investigate for the sheer purpose of making fun of ghosts or spirits.....then you have someone "like you and I, the GOOD ghost hunters" (LOL) that truly care about what happened to the souls.  So, what do we do....we talk as if we were talking to a child (no tauting) and we offer candy or we bring toys with us for the spirit to play with.  This little lost soul  has been lonely for so long and now someone wants to talk to her and play, she doesn't want you to leave.  So, she "attaches" herself and follows you home where she can be with you.  So, there you go....instant daughter! LOL  Also, beware of buying "used" objects as the same principle may apply.  Except, they may love the OBJECT and NOT you.

I get asked all the time, has you ever experienced someone or something following you home?  The answer is YES!!!!  Do I think it was a malevolent spirit?  No.  The things I was experienced made me feel threatened but more like....HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME......I'M HERE!!!  I give ghost tours down at a haunted bridge(Goatmans Bridge, Denton, Tx) and I communicate with a young 14 year old girl named Rebecca that died back in the mid 1800's.  First, we have the same name so I think she relates to that.  Second, I speak to her very respectful and tell her how happy I am to talk with her every time.

What was I experiencing?  Well, for starters, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS SOILD my tv would come on at 3am and the volume would be full blast and it would be all "staticy"!!!  And anyone that is connected to cable knows when your cable goes out there is nothing on the tv but a blue screen.  Every night I would get up and turn it off.  At first, I thought it was something going wrong with the tv or the cable.  I called and ask everyone what would cause that and everyone would tell me the same thing....It should NOT be doing that if it was going out.   Finally, I unplugged the tv thinking that would do the trick.....NOPE.....still came on by itself full blast!!!  Finally, one night when I couldn't take it anymore....I STOOD MY GROUND.....I turned it off after coming on at 3am and said out loud "OK.  I know you are here.  But this is MY house and I'm not moving.  So here is the deal.....You can stay BUT I don't want you to turn the tv on again.  And if you do, I will just get up and turn it off every time!  So we can live here together but you can not turn on the tv."  I swear....it has NEVER done it again.

Not only that...but the water in both the bathrooms would come on full blast by themselves, things would move from one place to another by themselves, alarms and other things would go off that shouldn't be going off and that had no batteries in them.  I really think it was Rebecca.  So I smudged the house and ask her to go back to the bridge and wait for me there.  And the activity stopped.

Now, this doesn't mean ghosts are just waiting to hitch-a-ride home with you, so don't start to worry yet.  But sometimes, you may "invite" them in by accident....say by using a Ouija Board.  You may be trying to contact  your departed loved one but that may NOT be who comes through.  If SOMEONE else decidesd it likes, or can manipulate you , it may just stay.....and LETS BE CLEAR...the spirit that decides it wants to stay from a Ouija Board may not be very nice at all.  So, this is nothing to play around with, so if you ARE going to use a Ouija Board be sure and take measures to protect yourself.  And just for the record, I NEVER AND WILL NEVER USE A OUIJA BOARD!!!

Lets talk about how to protect yourself from a spirit (good or bad) from attaching itself to you and following you home. Before and after you enter a location that you feel is haunted, say a prayer telling the spirits they are not allowed, or welcome to follow any of you home.  This is a command!   I take this very seriously, as we all have families, and friends that do not want a ghost to follow them home.  I believe you will start to see this more and more on all the TV Paranormal shows.  This protection prayer.

The metaphysical dangers of an investigation are real and should be taken seriously.  If it were only the physical and emotional thing to worry about, then this field of study could be done by almost anyone....but that's not the case.  Sometimes things we are looking for are there, and more often than not these things can and do follow us home at the end of the night.  This is where the dangers come in.

I believe it is my duty to tell you while ghost hunting can be very exciting, scary, and mind blowing, there are dangers.  Yes, anyone can grab a recorder, ask a question and get a response.  And yes, if you do not know how to protect yourself, anyone can have their lives turned upside down by unseen forces. I cannot express enough how important it is, if you want to become an investigator or you want to get involved in the paranormal, that you go with a team that has years of experience and is fully aware of the dangers out there and how to conduct themselves professionally and, most of all, safely.

So, is it possible for a ghost to follow you home? Yes.  But it is rare.  Do I want you to stop investigating because of the chance that someone or something will follow me home...NO.  Just take precautions and you should be fine.

Now, enough with all the serious stuff.  For myself, personally, ghost hunting is one of the most rewarding and fun things I do.  I love it with all my heart and will continue to research and look for answers in the field of paranormal. I look at it like a "sport" kinda........playing professional football lets say..... you have to watch out for the big, bad, muscle guy that is going to nail you on the field possibility breaking your bones.  Well, when you ghost hunt you have to watch out for the "dead people"......the ones that like to play tricks on you or the ones that really want to cause harm.  Oh well....I'm still "IN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE MANSION OF TORTURE!!! BE GLAD YOU DIDN'T VISIT THIS HOUSE ON HALLOWEEN!!!

This is ONE house you will be GLAD that the kidos' didn't go to the door for candy!

The presumed epitome of high society, Lalaurie Delphine, owner of the Lalaurie mansion on Royal Street, in New Orleans was reputed to have an evil side.  But it was her cook who would finally put an end to her cruel ways.  Chained to the kitchen floor, the cook started a fire, attracting the attention of the local fire department.

When help arrived, they were horrified with what they found.  The firefighters discovered punishment rooms with victims of macabre treatment still chained inside, barely alive.  For her own amusement Lalaurie had cut off ears and various body parts of her slaves!   Some poor souls were disemboweled.  Others had their eyes and mouths sewn shut!!!  The 1834 fire had found

male slaves, stark naked, chained to the wall, their eyes gouged out, their fingernails pulled off by the roots; others had their joints skinned and festering, great holes in their buttocks where the flesh had been sliced away, their ears hanging by shreds, their lips sewn together ... Intestines were pulled out and knotted around naked waists. There were holes in skulls, where a rough stick had been inserted to stir the brains. DeLavigne did not directly cite any sources for these claims, and they were not supported by the primary sources.  Can you imagine WHAT kind of person does this sort of stuff just for shear pleasure!  With the discovery of her cruelty and torture, Lalaurie was forced to flee New Orleans.

In the years since, during renovations, workers have discovered numerous skeletal remains in the mansion's floors and walls.  And these poor slaves that perished at the hands of Delphine still haunt the mansion even today!!!  The clanking of chains being dragged down the steps has been heard.  Agonizing screams and groans radiate from the attic.  And one visitor of the mansion awoke to find hands encircling his throat!  He claims that while he was being strangled the spirit of a black woman appeared and came to his rescue.  His protector removed the offender's hands and them both spirits disappeared. 

The haunting, it seems, is not confined solely within the mansion's walls.  Passerby of this three story mansion's have witnessed a young black girl jump to her death!  Sadly, she is believed to be the ghost of a slave who escaped her chains, choosing to end her life before her insane mistress could end it for her.

 



Now, some people say "there is no evil in this world".  Are you kidding me????  Could this lady have been any more "evil"???  This is the part about being a ghost hunter that is hard sometimes.  You read stories and do research and find out that THESE kinds of people really existed and I'm sure still do.  It breaks my heart to know someone would treat another human being this way.  Ok....moving on....if you guys have any COOL pictures of this place or had any experiences here, please write me.  I would love to hear about them.


 

WHITE ROCK LAKE, DALLAS,TX- I DON'T REMEMBER EVER BEING SO SCARED!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!  IT'S FINALLY OCTOBER!!!!!  My favorite time of year!!!!!!  I love it!!!!

Ok.  Back to business....White Rock Lake, Dallas, Tx.   This beautiful lake is located just north-east of Dallas.  Now, I have heard about White Rock Lake for years and the story of the "lady in white" that supposedly haunts it shores.  And it could just be me.....but almost every HAUNTED location has a "lady in white" apparition associated with it, so I have never put much stock into the haunting........until NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   
 Reports of a ghost of a twenty year-old looking girl, described as wearing a soaked 1930s dress, who usually appears at night along the roadside of East Lawther Drive. Witnessess claim the phantom asks to be taken to her home on Gaston Avenue in Dallas before disappearing in the car during the ride. Legend claims the woman to be a drowning victim during a boating accident in the 1930s. Reports of the ghostly encounters were published in Dallas-area newspapers in the 1960s.
Another story is that on November 24, 1942, another distraught woman, 35-year-old Rose Stone of Mansfield, Texas, also committed suicide by drowning herself in the lake. Her body, dressed in sweater and skirt, was discovered in eight feet of water near the municipal boathouse by Johnnie Williams, who assisted the park superintendent and city fireman in the search. A note was pinned to her sweater asking that relatives in Fort Worth be notified of her death. Mrs. Stone's coat and hat were found on the shore.

A friend and fellow team member who lives close to the lake offered to take me out to the lake and so off we went!  Now, I can say this....at night...I DON'T get a warm and cozy feeling about this lake.  I don't know why...just don't.

Now, I have been investigating the paranormal for more than 30 years.....and I can honestly say....my experience at this lake was like none other I have EVER had!!!  In other words.......scared the crap out of me!!!!!!  My friend John and I were riding around the lake stopping every now and then to take pictures.  It was already creepy....but what happened next I will NEVER FORGET!!!  We took a small road John said he had never been down before.  As we pulled into a small turn around area, we saw this very long, tall structure, with windows broken out and tall narrow metal doors.  It was crazy looking.  John was like "what is this place?  I have never seen this before".  For lack of a better description....it reminded me of like war bunkers....all in a row.  It had to have at least 20 doors and windows all in a row, and at night it was WAY WAY CREEPY!!!

 



I said, "what do you think?  Should we get out and see what this is?"  John says, sure.  John had been  driving so he got out on the drivers side and stepped away from the car to take pictures of some sort of building that was on his side.  Now, from the minute I opened the door, I had a "cold chill".  What WAS this place????  I just couldn't make sense of what it would be down here at this beautiful lake???  It just didn't fit in.  As I started to walk away from the car and into the moonlight that was providing me enough light to make my way over to this strange place....just as I lifted my camera to start taking pictures, I heard a noise.  At first it wasn't loud and I wasn't for sure what it was.  So, I put down my camera so I could listen better and see if there was......maybe a person or animal walking up to the car....but it DID NOT sound like footsteps!!!!  It was something else!  I turned and looked over my shoulder to see if John was hearing anything and he obviously wasn't because he was just starting to take pictures and didn't seem distracted by any noise.  Is this my imagination??? Maybe I'm just edgy because we had been to some pretty scary cemeteries before we came out to the lake.

As I slowly turned back around, I realized it WASN'T my imagination!!!!!!!!!!!  There was something there and it was getting closer and closer to me!!!  My heart was beating so fast, and I was trying so hard to be calm and come up with a responsible explanation as to what I was hearing.   I kept looking around and could see NOTHING.....but SOMETHING was getting closer and closer to me....and it WASN'T walking......it WASN'T like footsteps.......it was SWISHING!!!!!!!!!! Which just confused me more????  What the heck!!!  The SWISHING just kept getting closer and closer and with every second it was getting louder and louder..........it was coming right up to me and getting right in my face!!!!!!!!!!!!  You know you have that space around your body that is your comfort zone and when people get to close...you tend to step back because they are to close to you.............well THIS was TO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!  I wasn't imagining it.....but yet I could not SEE anything....but MOST DEFINITELY a presence was there.  All of the sudden, I had this terrible pain in my stomach....it was a physical pain.....and I knew WHATEVER this was.....I had to get away....and quickly!!!!!!!!!!   I started screaming at my friend to GET IN THE CAR NOW.....WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!  He was so confused and was like "what's wrong.....what happened?"  I said JUST GET IN THE CAR....SOMETHING IS HERE AND WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW!!!!!!!!!!! 

We jumped in the car and all I could say was "SWISHING.......SWISHING....IT WAS RIGHT UP NEXT TO ME!!!!"  He said.....did you hear footsteps?????  I kept saying NO....it wasn't footsteps...it was SWISHING AND IT WAS RIGHT IN MY FACE!!!!!!!!!!  As John drove off...I looked back over my shoulder to see if I could see anything..........and there was nothing there....nothing but the shadows of this strange building.

I was shaking and trying to catch my breath!!!  Was something trying to enter my body?  Was something going to hurt me?  I just didn't know!  After we drove off I started to apologize to John and tell him how sorry I was that I reacted that way.  I just don't scare that easy....and I can't remember one time that I wanted to run.....but this time I DID!!!!  I was sooooo mad at myself for reacting that way!!!  I have NEVER had that kind of experience were something UNSEEN was right in my face!!!!  It was like any minute I was going to feel the breath of SOMEONE or SOMETHING on my face!!!  Now, you guys don't tell anyone about that part......I am STILL the great, not scared ghost hunter!!! LOL

The next morning John called someone that worked for the property and found out what we saw was an old abandon boathouse that was built way back in 1930. I still don't understand the design of the building it just doesn't look like a boathouse at all!!!  It's creepy.  And yes, reports of hauntings have been reported from there.  After John told about the abandon boathouse....I found the story above about Rose Stone committing suicide at the boathouse.  NOW IT MAKES SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The SWISHING.............the SWISHING of WET CLOTHES!!!!!!!!!  THAT IS WHAT I HEARD!!!!!!!!! Was Rose wanting me to contact her loved ones for her?  Did she want me to make sure people knew where to find her body??  I don't know.....but SHE or SOMEONE else that has drown in that lake......walked right up to me in wet clothes and I will NEVER FORGET IT!!!

 

THE HAUNTED OLD ELLERBE ROAD SCHOOL, SHREVEPORT, LA. CHILDREN BURNED TO DEATH IN GYM---BUT IS SCHOOL STILL IN SESSION???

What an eerie place?  And the hauntings associated with the Old Ellerbe Road School are just as scary!!!

Reportedly, an evil janitor from the school, molested a collection of children then gathered them up, locked them in the gym, and set fire to the building, leaving them to burn alive.  It is said that the mournful cries of children can still be heard throughout the crumpled remains.  

One night a group of teen's decided to find out if the tales were true or not, so without permission, they stepped over the fence, disregarding the "do not disturb" sign and went in.  By the fading beam of their flashlight, they walked past the graffiti-covered walls and took in the sight of the devastation.  There before them, in place of lockers loomed a life-size mural of the grim reaper.  Not deterred, they continued on.  Slowly, they walked through overgrown weeds and dirt-filled halls until they reached their final destination, the gym.  They could tell by the black, charred bleachers that they had found what they were looking for. 

As they stood there in silence, as all of the sudden the stories seem to be true that were rushing through their heads.  All of the sudden, the door slams shut!  The sound of a school bell ringing echoed in the charred walls, and muffled cries of children calling out for help and many calling out for "mommy"!!!!

Terrified, the group ran out of the building.  Whether or not the experience will fade from their memory, we will have to wait and see.

Utah Haunted House: Family Flees Former Susan Powell Home

Most have experienced common issues that come with renting a house or apartment. These issues might include a leaky roof, windows stuck shut, crummy appliances, or a loud and obnoxious neighbor. But what about coming to the realization that your new rental pad was once the home of a murderous husband whose wife inexplicably disappeared from the residence before he went on to murder their children and kill himself?

A roach or rodent infestation can at least be dealt with, but the horrors of a shattered family murder can never truly be washed away.

And judging by some alleged happenings at a home in West Valley City, Utah, just such a set of circumstances is what sent a family fleeing from their new home. Sometimes past horrors can still haunt the house.
Salt Lake City’s KUTV reports that the house in question was once the home of Josh and Susan Powell and their children. In 2009, Susan Powell disappeared from the home, never to be seen again.

According to a KOMO news report from 2013, following years of financial and marital problems, the Powell’s relationship had reached such a rocky point that Susan was compelled to write a secret will and testament, as well as make a video of herself to express her concerns.

“I want it documented that there is extreme turmoil in our marriage… If I die, it may not be an accident, even if it looks like one.”

Susan would later disappear from the couple’s home without a trace. Police were actually investigating the disappearance of the whole family when Josh Powell showed up at the house with only the couple’s two young sons. Powell claimed he was simply returning from a winter camping trip, and that Susan had stayed home. Police found this odd, but even stranger was the fact that two fans were found in the house blowing on a wet spot on the carpet and all of Susan’s belongings were there, including purse, cell phone, and car.
The investigation that followed could never pin Susan’s disappearance — or murder — on Josh Powell, though police strongly believe the husband, along with his brother, Michael, were behind the mystery. But any resolution was greatly hampered when Josh took the two boys to Washington, where he killed them and then himself. Brother, Michael, would also go on to commit suicide.
Fast forward to 2014. The empty Powell house was rented by Joanna Aeosana and her family, who have no idea the house was connected to these horrifying events.
According to the New York Daily News, Aesoana experienced several frightening and unexplainable incidents since moving into the Powell house two months ago, causing her to believe the house is haunted. Because of this, she and her family have since fled.
Among the numerous mysterious goings-on, Aeosana says the garage door randomly opens and closes on its own. She also recently observed her 1-year-old son standing in the front yard talking to an empty swing, saying, “Go away, leave me alone!”
“I hear people crying when I’m showering,” Aesoana told KUTV.
But again, no one had told her about the Powells and the bitter reflections of the past that may still lurk in and around the property. It was a neighbor who finally told her what might be behind the strange happenings.
Aeosana says she had no idea of the Powell connection and history of the house, and that strange things began happening as soon as she and her family moved in.
The company that leased her the home is American Homes 4 Rent. While there was not a specific requirement for them to disclose the history of the home, particularly an unsavory one, she hopes they will help her find a new place to live and allow them out of the lease.
“I believe they should have told me,” said Aoesana. “I just don’t want to be in there.”
The house is tied up in a trust while details of the Powell estate continue to be untangled. Because no remains of Susan Powell have ever been found or identified, she cannot be declared dead until she has exhibited “no signs of life” for five years.
In the meantime, Aeosana and her family will be seeking a less mysterious home that doesn’t feature a garage door that opens and closes on its own, or invisible entities on swings that upset the children.
